Hm..I may seem to go against the trend here, but I just love it when the uke is so cute and feminine. heart I just want to squeeze them! Ah well... sweatdrop
So that I can still try to add to the thread, one thing that does annoy me as well is when the seme is just such a b*****d the only reason I want him to be with the uke is because I know it'll make the other happy. This happens in straight couples too.. stare

I really hate the idea of me only saying I agree with almost everyone else, because that seems way to short and boring for this topic, ecspecially after reading everyone elses long, great posts, but everything Iwas going to say has already been said and I don't want to repeat a bunch of things, so i'll just leave it at -I agree with most of you-. 3nodding

I agree with you ForChan.
Having someone rape someone else and have them fall in love with each other is utterly disgusting.
I myself am a rape victim, I depise the man who did it. I want him to die and burn in the darkest pits of Hell.
Having someone raped without mental/emotional problems is unrealistic and just plain stupid.
Having stories like that really disturb me, its basically saying all rape victims practically enjoy being raped.
"You took away my innocence, my sense of security, my ability to trust, my sense of being, Oooo! I love you now!"
Manga-kas who believe rape is a good thing seriously need to get a reality check and actually study the crap they write about.

Whinning, pitiful ukes irritate me. I'm also not into the younger characters very much. I'm not talking about shota, more like character that are 17 or something, and they look so much smaller and weaker than the seme. I prefer MEN. Grown men, that's just more sexy to me. But don't get me wrong, I'll read stories with the younger type guys, it's just not my preference. Actually, I like oyajis. ^^
The "no, no, please stop, not there" business, even if the ukes likes it and wants it is stupid to me. Can't the ukes ever just say "mmmm... yeah. I like that, right there baby, that's good?" gonk

I'm going to go with the trend here and agree with (a lot of) you.
Stereotypical characters annoy me to no end. Feminine, whiny, clueless and hyperactive ukes along with emotionless, horny, broad-shouldered semes. BAH.
Rape is not pretty. Nor is it believeable that one would fall in love after being raped multiple times by the same sick stalker. Just no.
Don't forget the predictable, over-used, over-angsty, rushed plot lines.
A great example of this would be the whole of Gravitation! A lonely, tiny pink-haired boy who falls in love, and gets raped for his love, with an abusive, jaded a*****e who is angstying over his own past? D: NO. I enjoy Gravitation, yes, but not for those two. They annoy me to no end. But I like the other characters in the cast. :3

*I don't like it when one of the characters goes girly and cries a lot
*I don't like it when fans claim guys that wouldn't go for them beacause 1 they're not real and 2 they're guy
*I don't like it when the manga drags on too long when it should have ended sooner
*I don't like it when the manga becomes destructive (as in gravitation toward the end)
*and last I don't like it when the story becomes about something else
Most of this stuff happened in Gravitation but the good thing is all yaoi manga's have redeming qualities. So it doesn't matter how many things we can find wrong about it, because everyone ends up going back and reading through all thoes crapy parts of the manga over and over. 3nodding

eh, where to began!! Firstly i dont like the whole sterotypical seme/uke thing. People make out nearly all semes to either be the knight in shining armor or some sort of perverted psycopath... Yes who doesnt have that dreame of being sewpt off your feet by a dream/fantasy guy. But in 98 out of 100 times that doesnt happen.
And as for ukes, people... were not girls. Therefore we do not act like them at all times. I mean everyone had there *fits* of such stuff, where you act completey immature, or like a girl but we dont do it all the time.
Just as well, the seme's dont have full control over a realationship either. Having a relationship means its split 50/50 both have a say and both should be listened to. Not the allmightly dominate one having all say and the submissive on following along like a lapdog.
And what is with people and self lubricating? Trust me if you dont have lubricant, your not getting anywhere fast stare And we dont come with it already installed.
Lastly, i cant stand no plot. If its this " i suddenly love you lets go to bed and get married.." No one falls in love that quickly, its impossible. I will take months to even build up a decent relationship. At least thats my opinion. I personally could go to bed or say i love you to someone i just met. Stories like that are a waste of life..
