There was a response on his tongue but he nodded. "Fair enough," said Jeremiah instead. "... and, yes, there's business to attend to." He paused, fingers pushing through his hair before he finally had to ask the question he had been holding in since he had first seen her today.

"One last thing? You've a phone? Did someone give it to you?" After all, he had seen her with it, typing away.

She pulled it out again, sat down, and set back to... whatever she'd been doing. Evidently she was ready for Jeremiah to go.

Then he was simply gone, leaving her to the shore.
