[Enter from Inada]

Having left behind the desert island of Inada, Maximilian saw as the destroyed base of bandits created a large pillar of sand that was shot up as the structure crumbled. Luckily it happened in a desert that had no inhabitants. Had it been any different, he could have been confronted by the inhabitants in regards to what he did that caused such a showy thing. However, that did not matter anymore. As he made his way towards a different island, Maximilian decided to rest, leaving the navigation to the boat itself. Having inserted a fragment of a soul into it, the boat gained a life and sentience, being able to sail on its own. All that while Maximilian dove into the world of dreams for a while.

One could believe he was having a nightmare from how he behaved in his sleep, and such an assumption would be correct. He relived past incidents, where the people of his kingdom rebelled and further complicated the situation of the kingdom. Something that was not fruit of bad management or corruption, but a scheme made by despicable creatures who wished to see the ruin of a peaceful and happy country. A wish motivated by lust and whatever else the rotten heart of a Celestial Dragon could feel. The man woke up abruptly as he saw the scene of his sister being taken by a disgusting creature disguised as a disgusting pig looking sweaty human. In the nightmare he was but a child and could not do anything other than just watch as the events unfolded.

Maximilian did not notice that he had been grabbing the boat too hard until he heard a small yelp that followed a snapping sound. He almost broke part of the boat and hurt his dear and invaluable incarnation. To whom he could only apologize from the bottom of his heart. He even bowed down humbly, something he learned that he should not do except to those he held dear to him and did not mind casting away his pride for. That was how much his incarnations mattered to him. Before long, he fell into a deeper slumber, being very tired, physically and mentally, from carrying the burden of having to restore his kingdom to its former glory. Something way too heavy for a boy who just went through puberty. But it was also something no other could do. He was the king of Lorencia and, as far as his sister was concerned, he was the only legitimate heir to the throne.

The next time he opened his eyes, the sun was being blocked by Tormenta while Sol seemed to be taking a nap several meters above her. Just like he cared for them, they also cared for him. Having obtained this power during his childhood, the two first incarnations he made ended up becoming almost like parents of his. Even if they behaved like they were mere servants. With a wry smile, he greeted them awkwardly. Tying the boat to the docks, he did not remove its soul in order to allow the boat to resist in case someone tried to steal it. Maximilian walked across the port and immediately asked for directions from a kind looking flower seller. She seemed to be around the same age of his sister, so he felt a little bit anxious. Fortunately she was very kind and did not mind his awkward behavior.

The blonde haired man, who clearly had the appearance and manners befitting of royalty, proceeded to the part of Ocean's Naval where a family ran a restaurant and an inn. Feeling hungry, as it was shortly after noon, he decided to eat first and enjoy the atmosphere of the town. The customers had mostly left since lunch time was pretty much over, so Max had an easy time finding himself a seat. Taking one by the window, that allowed him to observe the people outside, he waited until a waiter brought him the menu. He was a young man, just slightly older than Maximilian. At the same time he brought the menu, he brought a small basket with a bread and a glass of water, in case the customer was hungry or thirsty and did not want to wait for too long. High class service for such a modest restaurant.

Running his finger over the menu, Maximilian decided on a fried dish, that should not take long to be prepared. However, he still ate the bread that was brought to him. Despite being a king, he has since long gotten used to a life without luxury. More often than not he ate really cheap meals in the royal palace instead of food nobles are used to eating. Bland soups, hard bread, extremely hard to chew preserved meat, etc. In fact, he was eating better now that he reported to piracy. While also developing a bit of a bottomless stomach. When the food arrived, the few customers who were still around were surprised by the ten dishes lined up on his table. He ordered two of each fried dish from the menu. And ate everything within minutes. He could have eaten more but he knew self restraint. He was there for a different reason after all. Ocean's Naval was another of his targets, for being aligned with the World Government. After eating lunch, he brought forth fire and lightning upon the entire city, while personally collecting the valuables from the houses.

The only thing left to do was hide for a while, in hopes that nobody would stop him as he went on his noble quest. He was sorry for the inhabitants of Ocean's Naval, it was not their fault. If anyone should be blamed it should be the very government that abandoned Lorencia and forced his hand. If he had to be a demon to revive his country and gain power that would allow him to rescue his sister, he would do it. Even if it costs his life.

Ocean's Naval. It was at this very same place a year ago that Meiling had been helping the people rebuild the city when she had been randomly assaulted. She had come out on top over a rater strange misunderstanding at the time before getting a lecture on the cruelty of the Marines. In truth it was the beginning of the chain of events that lead to her finally choosing a side as a Mercenary. It was kind of nostalgic in a way being here again. However the reason why she was here was more infuriating than anything else.

As she walked out from the docks, she was met with smoking buildings, residual fires, and people fleeing off in terror. She clenched her fists as she spotted the tall blonde man at the center of it all. She let out a soft sigh as she cracked her knuckles on each hand while approaching him from the front. "So you just don't care about everyone else that lives here do you...?" She questioned him, semi-rhetorically as her eyes narrowed upon him. "Just going out of your way to destroy other people's homes and lives because you can?"

It seemed that someone wanted to confront the young king, maybe even try to stop him. As she directed words at him, he couldn't help but turn around to see the face of.this villain that stood between him and the restoration of his kingdom. "If they care not for the lives of our country, why should we about theirs?" he answered her first question with a serious expression. For him, the people who chose the World Government would never be more important than the lives of Lorencia's citizens. They were but stepping stones to the revival of his kingdom. "We have not taken any lives, only what they can recover with the assistance of that wretched government of yours. So, are you still going to block our path?" he questioned her since she showed some rationality as she talked first rather than acting like a mindless beast. At the same time, she would probably notice the dark cloud and small sun hovering above him.

She looked to the man as he tried to rebuke her question with one of his own. As if he was tying to justify his actions out of some kind of anger towards the World Government itself. Just like before. Just like that Michelle woman. So many people truly seemed to despise the World Government and what it stood for that it only made her happier that she hadn't chosen their side. Yet she still felt guilty considering her father had been a Marine and it was kind of disrespecting him, but at the same time she couldn't let herself be associated with such a controversial organization. She was happy just being able to help people, even if it was technically illegal according to said organization.

"Look...I don't know what they did to you, but that doesn't justify any of this!" She became more irritated as she took another step closer. "The people living here have done nothing wrong or deserving of having their homes destroyed or their belongings stolen from them! I don't care what the Government has done to you, but if you just go around attacking people and cities for your own personal gain then you're no better than they are!" She shouted at him, angry, but still trying to make him realize his own poor decisions. She didn't necessarily want to have this turn into a brawl, but she knew that most likely it would regardless. Still the sentiment held some meaning at least.

Even if she displayed rationality, it seemed that she was not one easy to convince. Not only that, the misunderstanding that he was causing such destruction and pillaging for his own selfish needs seemed to be blinding her. Yet, she made use of certain words that displayed her lack of attachment to the World Government. Regardless, her being irritated showed him that such was the limit of her willingness to understand him. He just sighed, thinking that talking would take them nowhere, and decided to move on with it. "Our words cannot reach those unwilling to understand us. So come, perhaps we can show you the extent of your foolishness!" he added and readied his sword,. unsheathing it from the scabbard attached to his belt.

He didn't seem to be one to listen to reason as she looked slightly down. She didn't want to have to beat this sense into him but so be it. She focused her sights on him as he drew his blade. She widened her stance, right foot forwards, arms raised up and her fingers reaching out like claws. Assuming her tiger stance, she knew that he'd have to approach her first to use that sword of his, and close quarters combat was her forte. Though the strange cloud and ball of fire were concerning. He likely had one of those annoying fruit powers but she couldn't really be sure just yet. "Alright, if you don't want to be reasonable about it, then I'll just have to teach you this lesson the hard way." She steadied her breathing as her body was ready to react to whatever he would do first. After all, letting him go first would give the edge, at least in theory.

The young king was surprised by the red headed woman's obstinacy. It seemed that she believed he was the one being unreasonable. Something that was understandable from a third party's point of view when they could not see the whole picture, the things that were placed on his shoulders since childhood. Although he had told her to come, she just repeated similar words and waited for him instead. If she expected him to be hesitant or reckless, she would be wrong. He moved forward with the sword held in both hands. At the same time, Sol dove towards her, as of aiming to tackle her. The sword, being only sixty centimeters long, would be held to his left and swung horizontally once he would get close enough to reach with his sword. Sol timed it so that his tackle would occur at the same time as Maximilian's attack.

As he moved closer, so too did his floating ball of flames. She'd have to keep her eyes on that thing as well as him, which would likely make for a more interesting fight at the very least. She kept her breathing steady as he runs towards her with a telegraphed sword swing from his left, while the glowing ball charged her from besides him. She took a second to think about what best to do in this situation as she had to attackers but one wasn't exactly...a solid person. She settled on simply dropping her entire stance quickly and suddenly, sucking just under his blade while the fireball rushed overhead as well. From there, as his blade swung past her, she would spring up suddenly and uppercut him in the chin with the very base of her palm. Striking hard in an attempt to knock him into the air with the sheer force of her strike.

The woman ducked, avoiding both, Maximilian's horizontal slash and Sol's downward tackle. With the small sun ending up behind the redhead since he was coming from above Maximilian. Seeing his attack miss Maximilian dodged miraculously... not. He ended up a sitting duck as the woman brought her fist upwards in an uppercut. Sol, being a rather hotheaded companion of Maximilian, did not enjoy being overlooked so blatantly. The woman would feel the heat as she attacked Sol's master, from the stream of flames spewed by Sol that would strike her legs and rear from a nearly point blank range.

As the base of her claw like palm struck his chin, the blonde man's body would jerk upwards as he seemed to take a fully direct hit. She smirked slightly as his entire body started to fly upwards. Fortunately, she intended to follow after him immediately. She would jump up after him, the jet of flames that had foolishly aimed low from the start would miss and scorch the earth beneath them as Meiling would enter the air with him. Face to face with him in the air, only about five feet up at this point, her hands moved to grab at his shoulder while her right knee snapped up to slam into his stomach hard and swift. She wasn't going to play nice here. She'd knock some sense into him properly before letting him think over his actions back in confinement.

And she jumped! As a follow up of her attack, causing Sol to miss, perhaps he should have used a better angle. But, as hotheaded as he was, it was no wonder that he could commit such blunder. Yet, he would change as he hew now an airborne target. Following after the jumper, he floated after her, sticking to her lower back. Since her focus seemed to be Sol's master alone, he unleashed another stream of flames. Thin as to not risk it being projected beyond her lower back from the sides, while floating after her, to make sure it would not miss this time. In the meantime, the unskilled king, found himself being grabbed by the woman. With the sword in a single hand, due to the impact of being sent flying up, he could not really swing it to cut her as they were far too close. Seeing her motion, he would attempt to block her knee with the other hand that was free, only to find out that the woman overpowered him in strength. Having his own hand hit him along with her knee, he was left out of breath. Almost at the same time, having grown irritated at Sol's blunder and the fact that Maximilian was being handled mercilessly, Tormenta would launch a lightning bolt at the airborne Meiling. If she remained in contact with Maximilian, it would, unfortunately, cause him to lose consciousness. Tormenta, however, did not know that. The only thing she wanted was to punish her master's enemy.

As she kneed the man in his stomach, she reared her head back and swung her forehead hard against his own, holding him thee to take the hit quite hard. Though how well he managed to withstand that force didn't get to be something she would find out as his Homies would continue to fight of their own accord. She would not only have her back set ablaze rather painfully, but the pair of fighters would also be electrocuted together by the angry storm cloud in a near comical manner before the both fell to the ground. Once downed, Meiling quickly rolled over before getting up, wincing as she panted out from the attack, her outer jacket singed through quite severely as she got back to her feet, hands raised to fight back again before she realized that the man wasn't moving. She blinked before turning her attention to his strange companions. "Guess I have to fight whatever you two are still...?"

Maximilian lost consciousness and, the moment after, there was a significant change in the two's behavior. Disbelief. Not because they thought Maximilian to be almoghty but because they failed to protect him in the end. A task they have been able to accomplish so far without issues. By the time they noticed that the girl was conscious, they had already given up as they could no longer draw out power from their master. Although immune to conventional damage and even Haki itself, they were powerless without Maximilian. "We are master's guardians. What do you intend on doing to him?" it was Tormenta who spoke up first, among the two, once they were asked by the girl if she would have to fight them next. Her form was surrounded by sparks, as if to threaten the woman in case she wanted to kill Maximilian. While in reality she had no more power left to launch another lightning bolt. Not that the girl would know. And she should know better than anyone that her lightning was no joke. Sol, similarly, looked imposing, trying to intimidate the girl as he shifted into an irregular fireball like shape rather than the perfectly round sun shape.

She was admittedly surprised that they could actually speak, taken back for a second as they answered her question with one of their own before taking up threatening 'stances' as she looked between them two. "Well he broke the law, caused a lot of damage, and hurt people as a result...So I was going to take him jail. Sorta of jail anyways."
She sighed softly, thinking back to the holding cell that was held at the nearest Mercenary base. "He needs to sit down and think about his actions and if he doesn't learn his lesson after that, I'll just have to teach him harder next time, but..." Her eyes narrowed between the two strange, talking 'objects', still in her stance. "Are you going to try and stop me...?"

Hearing the woman's reply, Tormenta thought deeply about it. She knew that what Maximilian was doing was wrong, even if it was done with the intention of acquiring funds for the revival of Lorencia. "The young king is inexperienced after all. He has been burdened with the fate of thousands of lives since childhood. He was bound to stumble at some point." she answered before shaking her head in response to Meiling's question. "If you won't try to take his life. We need not to intervene." she completed while maintaining her bluff of being able to act in defense of Maximilian's life. Sol, who was not so good at being polite with a person who attacked his master, chose to remain silent and kept his attempted intimidation.
