[PRP] A Christmas Horror Story (Chel/Shun)

[Blade Kuroda]

"... No I do not."  

[chiickadee]

She was quiet. Maybe in the same way Shun would never understand, Chel couldn't understand that either. But surely there was a nice middle ground somewhere and- ... and at least Shun was talking at all.

"I don't get you." A simple fact.  

[Blade Kuroda]

"And I most certainly do not understand you in turn," Shun stated as he shook his head. He just took another sip of his tea for now.  

[chiickadee]

"Can I come sit over there?" she finally looked over at him; her first attempt at eye contact.  

[Blade Kuroda]

Shun blinked at her, "You would practically be sitting on me."  

[chiickadee]

"That's the plan, Kuroda."  

[Blade Kuroda]

Shun closed his eyes in thought, before letting out a low grunt in response.  

[chiickadee]

Chel picked herself up and carried the half-filled mug with her. Her expression was hard to read; somewhere between happy and foreboding. All things ended- she knew, she knew.

It wasn't until her knees bumped against his that she said, "M'takin' that as a yes?" She still held her mug between two cold hands; she didn't intend anything explicit for once.

The detective tilted his head as he eyed her, trying to get a feel for what it was she wanted right now. Aside from the obvious of sitting here.

"As long as you do not spill that tea on me."  

[chiickadee]

"You sure you didn't poison it?" she said with a smirk, almost like an inside joke. Shun would have to joke for that though.

She eased herself on and put her head on his shoulder. Maybe that was part of learning how to do this. How to navigate Shun without breaking the ship's mast. She put her feet up on the side of the chair, mug squished between her knees and her chest. It was a smaller chair and between the two of them it didn't fit beautifully. But it did work.

"S'enough," she told him cryptically, looking down at her tea. "S'why I got the card. I know I get in the way real bad an' m'not what's good for nobody. Just tryna pay it back best I can."

Shun watched her carefully while she crawled on up and nestled down... somehow.

"Pay what back, exactly?"  

[chiickadee]

"I don't know," she mumbled. "You always let me come over even f'you don't want it an' stuff."

(Chel was really bad with words by the way).  

[Blade Kuroda]

Shun gave her a somewhat flat look.  

[chiickadee]

"What?"  

[Blade Kuroda]

"You do realize that is partially because you refuse to leave me alone, right?" he asked with a deadpan.
