Eventually, it did, the little electric mouse's focus turning, its eyes tracking onto him, before it bound over. "Chu!" it chimed. Adder narrowed one eye, and arched the brow of the other. Well... it recovered pretty fast. "Y'know, you did quite a bit of damage to my pokemon..." he commented, eying the pokemon, "S'not really fair to gang up like that...""Chu! Pi-pichu!" the pokemon argued, holding up little fists as it stared in determination at him. Guess it disagreed....

"Chuu..." it conceded thoughtfully. He gave it another look for its tone, but turned his head, glancing over at his other pokemon and then looking down at Crystal. She was purring happily in his lap, enjoying the attention, but opened her eyes in annoyance when he moved to get up. "You're really spoiled, you know that?" he remarked, trying not to sound too bitter about it. She simply smiled and gave a happy meow of confirmation in response.

Eeeespecially Crystal. He really had no use for her. Plus, her evolution... Well. Hopefully once he got those berries it wouldn't be too hard. She sashayed along beside him, preening herself a bit, earning a curious look from the pichu on his shoulder. He, meanwhile, was much more focused on up ahead. That box.... It was still there. He looked around as he got closer. There... there was no one in the area. No one at all. He shifted a bit, slightly adjusting his path toward the box. He passed by, glancing in again... then turned, quickly sweeping down to crouch beside it. The sudden movement caught pichu off guard and he tumbled in, only to quickly be scooped out by Adder. "Get out of there," he muttered, setting the pokemon aside. Pichu sat, rubbing his head, then looked up curiously as Adder began digging through the box.
The tween quickly scooped up several items, but jumped about a foot when something landed heavily behind him. "Should you really be taking those...?"

Nearly dropping his hoard, Adder turned, glaring over his shoulder. He recognized the voice, of course, after it had nearly scared him to death. "Whatthehell'reyoudoin'here?" he muttered, narrowing his eyes at his brother. Drey smirked, raising an eyebrow as he folded his arms over his chest, and gave him a very pointed look of his own, with a glance down to the items in his arms. Adder flushed, shifting quickly and turning as he straightened up, still tightly clutching the items while trying (and failing) not to look suspicious. "T-tch..." was the best he managed, and it clearly didn't impress the man much. Drey shook his head, smiling and stepping forward to clap his brother on the shoulder. "You're lucky I got most of this stuff for you, Addie," he remarked.
"DON'T call me that!" Adder quickly snapped, jerking away. He was so busy glaring at his brother, he didn't seem to quite realize what he said. Drey gave him a moment for it to soak in, and, after a bit, he shifted, relaxing some. "... You got this stuff for me...?"

"I plan to give it all to new trainers, donate it and everything, but... you're a new trainer too, aren't you? I planned to give it to you, too. Let you have... first pick, so to speak. Of course, I plan to replace whatever I can afford, so that I'm not showing too much favoritism, but..." He trained off, smirking. "It's not like you were exactly letting me buy you anything to see you off on your journey," he pointed out. Adder blushed again and shuffled his feet, looking off to the side.

"These yours?" he asked, holding a hand out for the two pokemon to smell. Pichu leaned in, sniffling curiously, clearly wondering if there was something interesting to sniff, while Crystal brushed him aside and placed a paw in her hand to shake. Drey grinned. "Uh, yeah..." Adder muttered, glancing over from where he was now carving through the box's contents and putting everything he wanted away, "The others are, um... training..." He eyed the interaction, before looking back at what he was doing. "Yeah? Mind introducing me?" Drey asked, looking over as he drew his hand back and stood up. Adder frowned. Drey did the same thing he did before, heading over and kneeling down as he reached Adder's pokemon, who all looked over at him in surprise. "Oh, wow! You got all three? Guess I'm not surprised..." he remarked, smiling lightly as he held out a hand to Litten. The feline swished his tail uncertainly, then leaned forward, sniffing. "Bet mom convinced you to get Popplio... Where's Pan?" he added, looking over as Adder joined them. The teen crossed his arms over his chest and gave a shrug. "Resting," he answered flatly, then shifted, moving down to heal everyone. Drey watched, smiling lightly. It seemed Adder had got the hang of things, at least...
"So... Training? You wanna battle?" he asked, smirking as he held up a pokeball. Adder gave him a flat, unamused stare. "I thought you didn't have any pokemon," he muttered flatly. Drey was not a trainer. He'd never done the whole 'journey' thing. "I borrowed some from Shaye," he clarified, straightening up. Adder gave him another look. "They're some of the ones she's not using. Come on, they're not strong, and your training your pokemon, right? This way I can see them in battle and everything," he encouraged. Adder shifted and looked off to the side. "Fine... but you're still paying me when I win..." he conceded, reaching back for Pan's pokeball, just in case. He narrowed his eyes at Drey as he moved back, putting some distance. "Shouldn't you be against battling, though.... with your whole pacifist-ness and everything...?" he pointed out. Drey chuckled. "This is an exception. Besides... battling is a little different. And this is really more like... a sparring match, than a real battle, don't you think?" he pointed out, giving a playful wink, before tossing out his first pokemon.

Drey had his mouth shut tightly, a bit of a deadpanned expression on his face. "You know... using type advantages... isn't the most honorable way to win a battle," he commented, smiling uncertainly as he moved over, gently petting the crawbrawler to coax it awake and reassure it, before recalling it. "Maybe not, it's the fastest," Adder muttered stubbornly, folding his arms over his chest. Drey looked at him, tucking the ball away. "Just... keep in mind you won't be able to use that tactic all the time. You may have to be the first to send your pokemon out, after all," he gently reminded, ignoring the eyeroll it got from his brother. "Anyway, you need to head to Hau'oli to heal up and restock, right? And I assume you'll be on to battle Ilima after? Mind if I join?" he asked. Adder gave him a very wide-eyed stare in response, and Drey laughed. "To Hau'oli. Don't worry, I won't tag along the whole way. I need to get Shaye's pokemon healed, after all. I'm sure that'll take longer than yours, and you can leave me in your dust then," he reassured him, relaxing his brother. Adder shifted, then shrugged, before turning to head towards the city.
"Sure, fine... I guess..." he muttered.

Not too surprisingly, Adder was careful as he moved out onto Route 1. He looked around, but... he didn't immediately see Kaiya. He did, though, spot the box from before. The one Drey had. He eyed it, and on reflex, looked in as he passed by, stopping a moment when he noticed a few good items. He paused, though, pressing his lips together as he recalled that... Drey had been watching the box before. He shifted, then shook his head, very intensely not looking up before moving on, just in case. Even if he was his brother, and he was grateful for the items... he didn't need to get sidetracked.

Adder seemed to get... surprisingly lucky, and didn't run into Kaiya. In fact, it was suspicious. He very much expected her to jump out of nowhere and demand a pokemon battle or something. Even when he was out in the open. She didn't, however, and he was able to go find the train station, and purchase his ticket. He figured he'd go to Kanto first, since.... well, it was pretty far, and he might as well get it that over with before going to the other regions to get their starters as well.

After buying his ticket, Adder made his way onto the train. He was... technically told to recall his pokemon, but in the end, he only recalled lady, mostly because her smell might be a... bit more noticeable. He kept Litten out, ushering him along under foot and quickly slipping into a cart. Hopefully there wouldn't be too many people on the train or anything... He blinked when he noticed a small set of eyes looking out at him from under the bench on the other side. It... was a pokemon? He frowned, pulling out his pokedex to scan it. Mudkip... Wasn't that a starter in one of the other regions? So... what the hell was it doing here? It didn't seem to be hiding... Adder looked up as the train jerked to life, and began moving, before looking back at the mudkip. Weird....

It really was just a short jot from Iki town to the Pokemon Center. Not even half-way down the hill, and Eline noticed the familiar red roof of the Pokemon Center in the distance. Adjusting the Swoobat so she was holding it like a small child, Lithium stepped forward, with a suggestive look. "I'm fine." Eline quickly spoke, offering a smile towards Lithium. "She's heavy, but nothing I can't handle." Lithium nodded, leaving it at that. She'd stick by just in case, but the Swoobat was the least of their worries. Apparently, a Munchlax had taken up residence on the path, blocking anyone from passing. Eline appeared to be the only passerby at the time being, but she couldn't wait until it was done.. the Swoobat needed medical attention. "Sulfur, let's see if you can handle that one." Eline motioned forward the feline with her elbow. He nodded, moving forward.

"Good work, Sulfur." Eline praised the feline. He'd managed to take care of that Munchlax pretty well all on his own. Though, he'd still taken quite the beating. Thankfully, the path was clear, and the Pokemon Center was just down the road a bit. Adjusting the Swoobat in her arms, she started forward once more. Within a few minutes they'd finally reached the Center, and were quickly greeted by a Nurse Joy. "Good Evening, is there anything I can do for you?" She inquired, though it didn't take glasses to see the sickly Swoobat in Eline's arms. "Oh, ,That Pokemon!" Joy quickly came around, calling for her helper to bring a gurney. "Yea, she's got a horrible fever." Eline explained. "She swooped in from the sky earlier, really helped me in a bind, but she's been sleeping ever since, now she's running a fever." Joy nodded her head, looking back as the gurney arrived. "I'll do my best. Why not rest here for the night, and we'll see how things are in the morning." Leaning over, Eline picked up Sulfur as well. "Could you also look over him?" Joy nodded, accepting the feline into her arms. With that, with the Swoobat and Sulfur, she left for the ER room in the back. Eline herself went to a room, with the key Joy had given her.
