"We are, We are, We are made from broken parts, We are, We are, We are broken from the start, And our hearts, Our hearts, They were beating in the dark, 'Cause we are, We are, We are built from broken parts." - Excerpt from: We Are by Hollywood Undead

Born to a Unicorn Father and Fluttercorn Mother, she had a happy young life with her little brother as a playmate. However their home was bordered by a deep dark forest and though her parents warned her away she ventured into it. Quite quickly she became lost and though she tried she could not find her way out. Helpless and hungry she wandered until she encountered Ghost. The little white ferret had a large family that lived in this forest. Taking pity on her he brought her back to his family and they shared their berries and fruits with the tiny filly until she fell asleep with his family to help keep her safe and warm. Ghost decided when she left he'd go with her. The next morning she and Ghost traveled onward and with the help of an Owl they encountered finally found their way out but what they came across at her home was a horror beyond belief. The bodies of her parents and sibling were laid out ritualisticly. All of their chests were torn open and their hearts were gone. Blight's fragile mind shattered and her eyes glazed for a moment before she turned to Ghost and said, in a high pitched voice laced with an emotion Ghost didn't recognize, "They must have moved on to the Summer fields for grazing... Let's go find them, k?" Ghost just gulped and decided to go with it. So they left behind the broken rotting carcasses of her family and began traveling together. Ghost has never broached the subject again for fear of making her snap.
She grew to adulthood with little issue and though on the rather small side even for a Flutter she was relatively happy. That is until she met Svanbjorn... One fateful night she had become separated from Ghost when she ran from a suitor she wanted nothing to do with. Sadly she got lost in the rocky mountains and that's when she met him. He was white as the snow, and teal tribal marked with glistening yellow eyes and the features of both a Kalona and a Cerynei. Fascinated by her he chose to play with her emotions weaving her up into a month long blissful romance until he smelled a change in her. She'd become pregnant and he wanted nothing to do with it. One night while she slept he crept away and she woke to a cold cave. Saddened beyond belief she returned to her home herd and the healer revealed that she was indeed pregnant with Svan's kids. Terrified of what her children would be due to their parentage she fretted the whole pregnancy and even Ghost couldn't settled her down. When the time came to give birth she had a hard time and it weakened her terribly. During her recovery she found out that the herd leader had tried to murder her children in their baskets and she, with the help of her two friends, moved the 3 baskets to a new home. There she cared for them until the baskets popped. Her 3 beautiful children were all that she have hoped. She loved them dearly choosing to name them Freyja, Altiu, and Skaalbjorn.
Her happiness was short lived though. One fateful day Skaal vanished, kidnapped by a Kalona who began teaching him his heritage. Blight became inconsolable, choosing not to eat or care for herself. Even her remaining daughters couldn't help. One day she went to her healer friend Leilani and asked her to care for Freyja and Altiu. Then she left with Ghost. For a long time she traveled, barely eating, barely caring until finally she could take it no longer. She hated feeling this way, hated being alone. Hearing of a magical star that sometimes granted wishes she placed all her hopes on it. Wishing for a child born of her and the sire of her previous kids. Feeling foolish she left.
One morning she awoke to a small blue and white basket nearby. The star had truly granted her wish. She felt whole again, right again. Waiting for the basket to open was unbearable but finally it happened. From out of the basket came a tiny little filly with the features of a Cerynei, Unicorn, and a Flutter. Her eyes had reversed black sclera and we're glittering yellow. Thankful for this gift she named the baby Siana. Once again her happiness was short lived. Mere weeks after her new baby emerged into the world a Purewalker interrupted their play time and chased them. The bear swiped a lumbering paw at Blight, hitting her hard and disorienting her long enough for the walker to corner Siana against the river. When he swiped at her she jumped backwards instinctively and was washed away in the river. Over a waterfall she fell, her delicate Flutter Wings ruined by the water. An outcropping of rock hit her head and she lost all memory. Though Siana did survive she was raised by another stallion often calling him father. Blight barely escaped the walker who was furious at his lost meal and though she looked she never found her baby.
Now once again heartbroken and alone she stood on a sea cliff and she stared at the sunset and the water below and couldn't take it... She jumped. Unluckily or luckily a stallion named Cedric was nearby and with the help of some nearby Mers pulled her from the waves. He cared for her until she was better and though he grew to love her things never seemed to mesh so he left his feelings unsaid. She went her separate way and went home to make up with her daughters for abandoning them. Strangely what awaited her was a repentant son devoid of all memories and a scarred miracle daughter who barely remembered her mother.
Finally her life was looking up, and she had no intention of wasting it.
