While Deysatnik climbed out of the water, Zakhav stepped over to it, glowering at the Totodile who broodingly made his way back, clearly both miffed at his foiled attempts, and unhappy about the inevitable punishment to come. "You must be very stupid to try somesing like zat..." he muttered to the water pokemon as it reached the shore, remaining in the water, looking up at Zakhav and not exactly wanting to come closer. "You vill be facing your puneeshment later," the trainer muttered, and in a flash, returned the psychotic little water pokemon. He wanted Deys and 'Nik to train up first, and honestly, he was expecting someone to arrive soon. He didn't have time to bother kicking the Totodile around before then.

Zak turned to reach over his lounge chair, gently prying a sheet from the safety box carrying the egg. Drawing it out, he straightened it up, throwing one end around his shoulder, and then pulling it behind his neck and over his other, walking around the seat as he tied the ends together. He adjusted it and secured it, slipped one arm through, and pulled the folds a bit, so that it formed a sort of hammock diagonally across his chest-- or rather, a cradle. He picked up the egg, and was just tucking it into the sling when he heard the flapping of wings. He glanced up, nestling the egg and securing it, and stepping over as a Salamence landed, slithering over and giving a toothy, grinning growl of greeting.
"Ah! I see you got the little egg thing." Zakhav bowed his head slightly to the Salamence, but lifted it, shifting his gaze as a familiar figure dropped off the dragon's back, a mop of wild purple hair sticking out every which way from under the strap keeping the upper part of it strapped down, and the goggles secure on the owner's face. He smirked lazily in response, one hand still resting on the sheet over the egg, as if he didn't quite trust his creation yet. "Hallo, Lidia," he greeted.
Meanwhile, Sotnik and Deys had encountered a Starly, but the grass pokemon was easily able to take it out with a Tackle attack.

Zakhav carefully adjusted the egg so he could move his arms more freely. "I take eet you have vat I asked for?" he assumed, holding out his hands. She moved her head in a way that suggested she was rolling her eyes behind her goggles, but nodded. "Yes, yes, of course," she said, pulling her own messenger bag around to shuffle through, "I brought the incense, the pokeballs, potions...""And ze Exp Share," he finished for her. She stopped, then jerked her head up, staring at him with a slight frown. ".... Thuh wut?" His lips curled into a sneer. "Exp Share," he repeated back, "I specifically mentioned eet. Vhy else vould I vant ze incense?" He snatched the objects she had pulled out, still scowling a bit as he stepped over to carefully put them amongst his belongings, save a Lucky Egg, which he tossed to Sotnik for him to use in his training. Deys would know what to tell him.
She frowned, then gave a jerk of her head. "Oh, oh, fine. I'll go back and get it. But I'm sorry, that's going to take me a while," she muttered, folding her arms over her with a frown, "It wouldn't help that much with the incense anyway. It's likely to summon rock type-- you know that, that's why you asked for it-- so your Snivy will probably be doing a lot of the battling itself. Plus the pokemon that come aren't that strong... they wouldn't be giving it very much extra exp anyway." Zakhav frowned, striaghtening up, and placing his hands over the egg. "I vould steel like to have eet... I need Sotnik to get stronger qvekly," he muttered.
She nodded her head, waving a hand. "Here, here, I'll make it up to you with a battle, alright? All the pokemon on me are very week. They should be easy," she offered.
Deys was looking over at them, eavesdropping on the conversation, and then looked down, catching 'Nik's attention and nodding for them to go join. 'Nik nodded, finishing off the Bidoof, and turning to walk with the Empoleon back towards their trainer.

Zak turned and waved to his pokemon, who were already on their way over. "Ve are going to some training vis my friend," he informed them, "Sotnik, I vould like you to handle most of eet eef you can. Zat ees alright vis you, right Deys?" He raised an eyebrow to the Empoleon, though he already knew the answer before the pokemon gave a consenting nod. They had discussed this-- Zak had already mentioned it. Deys had been his companion for a very long time... But Sotnik was to be the Captain of this team. The sooner he began taking such steps to get there, the better.
Nodding his head, Zak turned back towards Lidia, who already had her first pokemon, a Reuniclus, out. How one could get such an evolved pokemon at such a weak level, Zak had no idea, but at least it would be very easy to take out.

Zakhav narrowed his eyes at the sheepish smile that crossed over his comrade's face as she drew out her next pokeball. His expression fell to a deadpan, then a slight sneer, though, as he saw the pokemon she'd released. "Seriously, Leedia," he drawled, "How do you even find a Deoxys at such a low level..." She rose her hands up in a slow shrug. Shaking his head, Zak gestured for Sotnik, who had glanced back for confirmation, to go ahead, and the battle with the extraterrestrial legendary ended just as quickly as the one before.

The battles were so easy, they were actually boring. Zakhav stepped back, giving an absent gesture to Sotnik when he turned to glance at him for him to continue. He, however, sat down at his chair, drawing the egg from it's carrying cloth to look it over again. "Your fascination with that thing is a little odd," Lidia commented, "You sure you're not secretly a mother or something?" Zakhav raised an eyebrow, glancing back at her as she returned her pokemon, and sent out the next. "Fairly certain I'm not, no," he replied with a smirk, leaning back and resting the egg in his lap again, "But can you honestly say you've ever seen anysing like eet?" She quirked an eyebrow in thought, looking off to the side, and then giving a nod of concession. "Well, I'll give you that."

Lidia put the ball away, pulling out her fourth and final one. "I still think it was pretty weird that as soon as you saw a picture of the thing, you said you wanted it," she remarked, tossing the pokeball out to release her Mandibuzz. "Vhat? You don't sink it suits me?" Zakhav asked, shifting the egg to one hand, balancing it and holding it up near his head with a charming smirk. She shook her head with a roll of her eyes behind her goggles. "Actually it does, but still... You don't even know what's in it. And don't hold it like that. You look like you're about to shoot it into a basket or something," she remarked, while Sotnik finished off the last of her pokemon.
Zakhave smirked, pulling the egg back down to hold it between his hands, nestled in his lap. "I vouldn't do zat... Least, not unteel eet hatches," he replied back with a growing grin.

Lidia returned her pokemon, tucking the pokeball away and shaking her head at Zakhav. "You are so bad..." she remarked, but she was smirking. "Like you are eeny better..." he quipped back. She shrugged. "Anyway, I'll get that Exp Share back to you as soon as I can," she promised, "Hopefully the Lucky Egg holds you over until then. Hell, it might even help you more, considering it actually increases the pokemon's exp gain." Zakhav shrugged, gently tucking his egg back into its sling, folding the extra sheet material around it to keep it nestled and safe.
She watched a moment then shook her head. "So weird..." she muttered, turning back to Salamence, "See you later, Zak," she said, giving a wave, before her pokemon took off. He gave a fairwell nod, turning, then double taking as something caught his eye. "Sotnik," he muttered, lifting a finger to point at the Bidoof that had wandered from the grass, "Tackle."

As the Bidoof went scampering away, a Starly appeared. 'Nik huffed in frustration, but was able to take it out just as fast, clapping his hands together and giving a decisive nod as the pokemon limped off. Zakhav smirked, laying back on his chair, his deadline momentarily postponed in his priorities. "You are most certainly getteeng stronger," he remarked, adjusting the egg against him. It was nearly dark by now, but he was fairly sure they could afford some more training before they started to group for dinner. "Hopefully tomorrow we can heet ze training harder. For now, however, try and find a few more pokemon to battle vis. I vill start setting up camp in a moment." he instructed. Sotnik and Deys both nodded, the Snivy turning to stride towards the wild grass, ready for whatever dared try and face him.

True to his word, he would start up camp in a moment, but he needed to do some more work first. There wasn't a power source here, and though he had a charging device with him (of course!) he didn't want to waste any more battery with his computer or devices on sleep mode. He opened everything up, hugging the egg close and cuddled up in his arms as he drew the computer in to his lap. He worked around the egg, vaguely aware of the steadily dropping temperatures, and worked quickly, his fingers positively flying across the keyboard. His eyes darted across the screen, while he listened, half paying attention, as Sotnik battled a Bidoof off in the distance.

The next Starly was the weakest yet, and 'Nik took it down without much effort, groaning a bit. He stepped back, frowning, then turned to glance back towards Deysatnik. "How long are we supposed to be doing this? These pokemon are weak..." he muttered, turning more to face his teammate. Deys lowered his head slightly, staring down at the grass pokemon. "Until Zakhav calls us. Continue," he urged, nodding for the snivy to move back towards the grass.

Sighing, Sotnik turned back to the grass, charging in and finding a Bidoof to quickly take out. Luckily, as he was trekking back, their trainer's voice called over. "Alright! Come on back," he instructed, "I've got food cooking." Both pokemon looked over, and 'Nik immediately fell into a run, with Deys following at a much slower pace, his eyes closing. He saw no real need to try and run... Zakhav had said the food was cooking, not done. But evidently the grass pokemon wanted at least some chance to sat down, plopping contently onto the ground with a somewhat bored-- or was it tired?-- expression.

Deysatnik had just arrived and sat down when the food was about ready. Zakhav was already starting to dish it out when he noticed movement out of the corner of his eye. The sun was all but set, yet there was just enough light in the sky to outline a silhouette joining them in the clearing by the lake. Considering Zakhav had a fire to cook the fire, he doubted they had gone unnoticed. Once all his pokemon had started eating he watched the figure, one arm cradling the egg in its already safely cushioned sling. The person had to be here to train, right...? So perhaps this would be a good opportunity...
Zakhav stood, making his way over to the trainer, letting his pokemon stay behind and eat. "'Scuse me," he spoke up, the young man jumping a bit, and turning to look with slightly wide eyes, "You're a trainer, right?" Zakhav raised an eyebrow at him, and the young man nodded. "I don't suppose you'd be eenterested en a battle, vould you?" he asked. The boy hesitated, and Zakhav shrugged. "You can of course back out, but I vould assume you vhere here to train. Vhat better vay, ya?" The trainer deflated a bit, frowning. "I guess..." he muttered, "Aren't your pokemon eating, though?" Zakhav glanced back. "Zey can take a break. 'Nik! Come here, ve are goeeng to battle," he called over. The snivy stopped in his food, looking over with a mouth full, then, grumbling put his dish down and swallowed, hurrying over to try and begin the battle. The sooner he was done with this, the better.

otnik hurried over, making a motion like he was rolling up his sleeves, or perhaps just stretching his arms as he prepared for another fight. Zakhav was about to instruct a tackle attack, but stopped when he saw that the pokemon was a Tyrunt, his eyes narrowing a moment. "Vine Whip," he instructed instead, the young man deflating a bit as his pokemon was easily taken down. Heh... looked like this guy's pokemon were just as weak as the pokemon in this area...

Zakhav folded his arms over his chest. "Vell...? Your next pokemon...?" he questioned, raising an eyebrow. The guy nervously pulled out another pokeball. "L-listen, I've only got four pokemon..." he started. "Zat's fine. Four ees enough for training," Zakhav cut him off flatly. Inwardly.... he was smirking. The guy was a weakling and good training fodder for Sotnik. Or rather, his weak pokemon were. This would be good for the little grass type. And with the guy's next pokemon being a Poochyena, it was more than easy to take out.
