There was a lot of information to take in during breeding class. Maria’s head was overloaded with all the information given to her. The only thing she could do was write it all down and review it later. Espurr stared intensely at the slides as Mr. Bennet clicked through them. It was overall an interesting class one that required a lot of thought. Luckily with Halloween around the corner, Mr. Bennet gave them more time on their assignments. Meaning Maria would have more time to figure everything out. Not to mention be about to get her small assignment done sooner rather than later. That way she could focus solely on the presentation with Kirsi. Maria certainly didn’t mind Halloween though, so she’d be sure to enjoy the holiday regardless if it wasn’t really a big thing for her. She was sure Espurr would find it interesting. Perhaps she’d figure out a costume for the little feline.
As class came to an end, Maria packed up her stuff. "Let me know if you wanna work on our project. I'm gonna show Ashley to the nurse." The brunette turned her attention to Kirsi when she heard her voice. “Sure thing Kirsi, I’ll let you know.” She replied before slinging her bag over her shoulders. Picking up Espurr she looked over at Lillipup who had begun playing with the baby Pokémon. “Come along Lillipup.” She called to the brown pup. “Pup… Pup.”(Coming… Goodbye.) Lillipup barked before going to Maria’s side. The two headed out of the classroom and over to the library. Maria hoped to get there, get what she needed, and then head back to the Flygon dorms. With all the assignments flying around she might get more work done in her houses personal common room.

After the quizzes were graded, Harvey input all the scores into the school's database. He made sure to doubel check all the numbers since when it came to children's academic future, people tended to want teachers to be thorough. Looking down at his watch Harvey realized he had been here quite a while. He had also-in his haste to get to class on time- skipped lunch. "Salvador or the Garden?" he murmured to the pokemon who were with him. Broski shrugged while Samantha put on a thoughtful expression. Tank would enjoy the garden Harvey nodded taking out the pokeball that held his electivire. Poor Tank never got much time outside the ball during the weekdays. A pokemon his size just wasn't feasible in a classroom. However you should probably stop by the pokecenter and return...those. At her last word Samantha's attention was given to the pichu and the tentacool who were currently playing with an empty recycling bin. Apparently the pichu was of the mind that it could be used as either a house or a tent. The tentacool for his part was using rapid spin to make himself spin in circles, the way Harvey had seen toddlers do when they were bored. "You are...so not helpful Sam" he muttered to the slowking, who gave him a scolding look in returned. Harvey ducked his head as if he had been actually scolded and returned the baby pokemon. Doing the same for Samantha while Broski jumped on his shoulder. "I guess we'll figure it out on the way" he muttered walking out of the classroom.

Being the first one to enter the afternoon class came with a mix of feelings. The first being delighted as there would be no need to feel nervous around her classmates. Plus, there would be no need to communicate with anyone else so there was that. The second being she wasn’t 100% sure if class would magically be cancelled. If class was cancelled there would be no way for her to know. The last time she had been to class was quite some time ago but that didn’t mean she didn’t miss it in the least. This was the class the girl looked forward to each day. There was still much to learn from the professor and from those around her. Another positive was that Skylar was in this class. Since their relationship had progressed to Captain and Vice Captain it had been much easier to communicate with each other. That didn’t mean she would slack off with anyone else in regards to communicating!
Taking a seat by the window Chespin hopped onto the desk. There was just something about the window seat that comforted the girl. It was nice to see what was happening outside while she stayed indoors. Maybe the class would go outside to venture out to see Pokemon. Maybe they would talk about something just as interesting as last class. Alana smiled towards herself while her gaze was focused on the outside world.

Maria’s next class of the day was breeding. With the morning going alright and lunch going well what with spending it with Marco, she was ready for a decent afternoon. Walking into class the brunette Flygon saw Alana with Chespin. She recalled the girl preferred her last name being used like Silvano. She was looking out the window. Since no one else was in the room, Maria figured she might as well go over. She was sure she wouldn’t mind.
“Afternoon Shusona,” Maria said as she approached with Espurr on her shoulder. “Good day so far?” She asked. The feline held on to Maria while looking towards the other girl and her Chespin. They were interesting. Lillipup padded alongside her trainer. “Pup.”(Hello.)The pup greeted Alana and Chespin.
Honestly Maria was surprised that most of the usual people weren’t in the room. It seemed like that had been happening all day. However, she didn’t mind talking with Alana. The girl was nice and she rarely got to talk with her. Usually finding herself with Ichiro and Phoebe the moment afternoon class began. Then what with them not being in the same house or sharing morning class together. Well they just didn’t get many chances.

The classroom had been silent for quite some time. Class had yet to start so there was still a chance that everyone was eating the last bits of their lunch, reading a good book, chatting with friend(s), or just enjoying this beautiful day. Looking outside it did look like a real shame to stay up all cooped up inside the school. Even with lessons about the wonders of breeding, the girl did feel a bit lonesome. Chespin was gazing outside but was far more interested in the Pokemon that came to and fro. It smiled wickedly on the thoughts of how it could torment each Wild Pokemon out there if it ever got the chance.
Footsteps could be heard, drifting the girl’s attention away from the outside world and to the one other presence within the class. First it was the gentle shuffling of feet before Alana could actually make out that there was someone else in the class. When the child turned to face the other individual her face broke out into a small smile. Though she did not often see the girl Alana was happy to meet her. ”Afternoon Taylor,” the girl’s face relaxed as the brunette came closer and closer. ”It is a beautiful day!” Alana replied eagerly, perhaps missing the fact that Taylor was probably asking how her day was going so far. ”How about your day?” Her attention shifted to the soft-furred Espurr on Taylor’s shoulder and to the little puppy on the floor. Alana gave a small nod to each of them with Chespin mimicking her. Green vines came from the Grass-type Pokemon and were held out to Espurr + Lillipup in a friendly greeting. ”Your Pokemon look absolutely wonderful today! Alana eye’s gently caressed the images of the two Pokemon before looking back at Taylor.

Dropping Gamuza off, Harvey had been late to class. He had entertained the thought of having the kid help him with the lessons but had quickly scrapped that. He wasn't sure how that was gonna go over with the superiors and he hated when people got into his business. They always proved to be ungodly stupid about it. Gamuza was wary of cops and Harvey, a street kid in the way that wasn't a euphemism could understand why. Whenever cops were involved whenever people were involved and you were in that kind of situation it ended badly. Of course one would think with the taboo subject and all, more people would see children as human beings. Harvey knew better of course. It wasn't as though things hadn't been bad before. Anyone with a passing knowledge of sociology or economics could tell you impoverished people were always on the margins of things. Sure kids couldn't go out on journeys anymore but the more 'normal' dangers, the ones that had been there from before trainers were even a thing and were still there now. The professor's eyes darkened when he thought about his drug-addled mother, or the stepfathers that had thrown him around, the times he had tasted blood, the burns he had from a cigarette and all that had forced him to spend nights out at the docks. All the people who passed him by figuring he was just a hoodlum or a vagabond. Yeah, this new world looked after children alright. Just look at his childhood. He knew of course he hadn't had it that bad. South America, Africa, Asia all had cities were street kids were common place instead of just shadows that slunked around. North America and the Regions had less poverty but still had people like himself who had been forced out. Foster children who aged out at 18 and had nowhere to go. Kids who had abusive homes and ended up drifting. Sure cops could catch them but if home was a menace you got good at not getting caught. ( Harvey would know) Gentrification didn't help any, as houses went up in value in certain neighborhoods and could force whole families into homelessness. A lot of street kids often had to chose between a homeless shelter and the streets and chose the latter because shelters were actually breeding grounds for crime. That was what Harvey had seen when he saw that kid steal and swindle from the market. A kid like himself but so much younger. He knew from experience kids from bad homes were wary. Calling anyone had been out of the question, the moment a social worker appeared the kid would run (that's what Harvey would have done) and then there was the fact that he seemed hellbent in staying where he was. What if he got taken to a bad foster home? You heard every horror story from the system. Abusive homes, bouncing from place to place, and if he ran away again who would find him then? Too many variables, too many risks, too much goddam idiocy. Not enough people willing to listen. The only way to help that kid was to play by his rules. Kids like that needed to feel like they were in control, on account that whenever they weren't bad things tended to happen. "hiring' him to do jobs so he would take a meal and stayed off the streets was probably the best thing he could do without things getting messy. Harvey may not be the best with kids but he wasn't about not helping someone who needed it. Sure as hell wasn't as though someone had helped him as a kid. I'm turning into a softie, he thought rolling his eyes up to the sky Elaine would have said he wasn't turning into anything, that he had always been someone who would help people no matter what. The thought made him smile. Elly had a way of seeing past his flaws, of thinking he was worth something. It made Harvey think he was worth something too. He was glad Elly had liked Gamuza, and that Gamuza had liked Elly. Between them and Chavas maybe they could keep the kid out of trouble. Now that he was thinking about gentrification Harvey wondered what exactly the statistics were for the lamia district. A place so exclusive surely ran the rent high, and close to the academy. High prices and new developments meant gentrification if he was remembering his college classes right. And of course how you saw and reacted to socio-economic changes depended on your culture, and how your culture treated you. Chavas for instance had a higher risk of being homeless than a straight person, he knew that much. Lamia was a mixture of cultures ( very different cultures from his exposure to his friends there. Chavas didn't know what bolon was any more than Rata knew what Mole was and they had completely different ways of speaking and seeing things.) so the district as a whole would react to social changes in it's own way and evolve in the way that all societies did. He wondered if he could look into the statistics of lamia, he had asked on an online forum once but no one had answered. He wished Ramona was around, she was the only one he could think of that would be interested in this question. She had a degree in Anthropology. He missed her. Probably because she's the only here with a brain. Harvey thought with a scoff. Okay that wasn't fair. Elaine was lovely, and he hadn't met Takahiro yet but he seemed cool. But everyone else he had met had been so...weird. Lilith never seemed to want to talk to anyone unless Tony was involved somehow. And then there was Tony. Tony was just an idiot. Harvey didn't like him. He was either throwing lines at Lilith ( thought well, at least she didn't seem to mind but it still made him roll his eyes) or aggressively kissing his friends without their permission. ( creep) Everything, from the words he used to that smile he gave people felt...slick. Fake as a three dollar bill. And of course there was the fact that he only seemed to talk to the women in the academy. Harvey didn't trust him, and he couldn't help but feel that whenever the teacher was involved his life irrevocably got more difficult. He wasn't able to talk to Elly as much, he got in trouble for things that didn't even make sense. Everything that had ever gone awry was tied to Antonio Reyes somehow. And he certainly couldn't hold a conversation in psychology or anthropology. Not the way the Harvey had seen him portray coherent thoughts ( which was none at all) Stop thinking about Reyes Harvey Jay, you'll scare the children.Samantha said having been released from the pokeball as he finally made it to the door. Figuring she was right, and putting unpleasant thoughts of bafoons and idiocy aside, Harvey oppened the room with a smile. Noting that Daniels and Moore were once more absent. He wondered at what point he would need to call the Dean about that. Those kids were really racking up the absences. "G'morning guys" he said walking in with Samantha behind him. Broski was missing today, Harvey had let him have some time away from the calssroom. Now I want you guys to take a look at these. All these eggs are at different stages of development, and are closer and closer to hatching. I want you guys to take notes on how they're different. Notice that the more developed ones have a daker hue, have some craks, even move" The eggs he knew, would be a good way to reel them in. Kids learned more when you gave them more than just facts to memorize. Harvey at least always tried to make his lessons interactive. That was his teaching style.

Maria was really beginning to wonder why people kept using her last name. If it hadn’t been Alana who’d used it she probably would have said anything. However, it was and she didn’t want to be mean. So she let it go. She quickly dismissed the thought as the Kingdra mentioned it was a beautiful day. It certainly was, even with the clouds in the sky. “It’s going well so far.” She answered her. Maria kept the part about odd things going on throughout her day. She didn’t want to bring up that everything that normally happened during a day seemed to be reversed. Those who were later to class were on time even early, and those who were early were either not there or late themselves. Luckily she wasn’t one of those people who was arriving late when she usually arrived on time.
Espurr shook the vine with his tiny hand in greeting. Lillipup (not having hands of her own) held out her paw as if it were a hand. It was kind of cute the way she went about it. Maria smiled as she looked from them to Alana again. “Thank you. Chespin seems to be doing well.” She always did like the cute grass type. Made her wonder what it would be like to work with one.
It was then Mr. Bennett walked in surprisingly he was even behind schedule. This day was weird… “Good morning Mr. Bennett.” Maria greeted him before answering his question on their presentations. She’d been working with Kirsi on it… Speaking of Kirsi… where was she? “It’s going good. I’d like to say it’s almost finished.” She answered him before taking the free seat next to Alana. Might as well stay where she was, right?
Looking to the incubators, Maria wondered what they were about. When Mr. Bennett said he was giving them a break from notes, the brunette smiled. No notes meant hands on work and Maria loved hands on work. Observing the eggs, she noted the differences. She noticed the bigger the crack on the egg the more they seemed to move. Even the colors were different. Maria began jotting down what she noticed. This was certainly a fun activity. One even the curious Espurr was getting into.

Although the two did take a small detour and went back to the dorm room for her books and stuff she had forgotten since last class, Ashley and Dusk (using his ability to disguise himself as her without the various scratches and cuts present) ran down the halls to get to the class on time. It was nice having Dusk not having to be forced along with her, the student thinking of buying some kind of leash for him if he wanted to remain a stubborn pokemon of hers. Thankfully, it seemed as if they were slowly gaining some ground to be suitable partners. Plus, the little guy seemed to want to find his previous owner, and Ashley was deadset on trying to find her, if she was even still in the lands near the academy. "Probably should have gotten it before getting breakfast..." She mumbled to herself, reaching the entrance to the classroom and stepping inside with the clone of herself behind her, still holding her hand with a curious expression on his face.
The sight that greeted her made her question if they had been given the day off, as only two other students were present for class, neither of which Ashley had any prior knowledge of. The first one had dark brown hair and sky blue eyes, dressed in a Kingdra uniform who was speaking with another girl. This one was also dressed in her house's colors (Go Flygon!) and had a lighter hair color. Were we given the day off? This is hardly enough students to have a class for. The red head thought to herself as she eyed the exit. If it was really a free day to work on their project, she could at least spend it somewhere personal and student. That or go play video games or whatever. There was enough time in the semester to get this all done, so what was the harm in not working for a day?
Before she could spin around on her heel, Ashley found Mr. Bennet out of the corner of her eye, walking up towards him as she huffed, her cheeks red in embarrassment. She felt awful for showing up late, though it was her fault, as much as she didn't want to admit it. Spending all that time up to the wee hours of the morning to train with Azure and Dusk. If the teacher or anyone could pay attention to her face, she'd still have the bandage on her right cheek from when Dusk gave her a good beat down back in the mansion. "Ah-I'm sorry for being Tardy, Mr Bennet. I'm an idiot! I woke up late and missed morning classes, and then I forgot my notes and...I'm sorry! I can leave and bother people elsewhere..." She rambled on, furrowing her brows as today was seeming to be pretty bad for her. She looked tired, frazzled, stressed, and just about every other thing a nerdy bookworm like her had when they worried about exams, projects, and absences. Ashley seemed pretty upset, though she would probably fall asleep long before she felt as if she had apologized enough. Meanwhile, her apparent twin looked at Mr. Bennet's pokemon, Samantha, with great curiosity. After staring at her for a while, Dusk looked up at Mr. Bennet and pointed at her silently, still holding onto his trainer's hand in his form.

According to Miss. Taylor it appeared that her day was going well, at least well enough to inform Alana. Though it almost seemed like Taylor was expecting something to happen later in the day. It could have been the child over thinking as she glanced down at the scenario happening. So far, the class consisted of these two students. The teacher had yet to make his appearance, assuming that it was a ‘he.’ The bell had already tolled signaling the start of class but there was yet another soul to come walking in. Was class canceled? Was there something else that was supposed to happen today for class? Nothing came to mind in the girl’s head as she recalled any messages from the school. There wasn’t even a note on the door. It could be that the professor could have been late. There was always that. People were human so it was perfectly fine to be late now and again.
Chespin could feel one of its vine’s enwrapped in some war fuzzy stubs. It was quite a different sensation from all the other vine-shakes it had given to other Pokemon. It was warm and a bit ticklish to boot. Maybe something a bit devilish could happen if the two paired up. On the other vine Chespin placed the very tip on the softer part of the Lillipup’s paw. It wasn’t as fluffy as the Espurr but that delicate softness should not be underestimated. ”Thank you.” Alana gave a nod with her head, ”I hope one day these three can grow close.” With those words it seemed that their quaint chit chat would have to be put on pause as an adult was making his way into the classroom.
The adult male was unfamiliar to her. Well, the girl had been absent from quite a bit of the lecture but had not failed in collecting notes for the class. She had even been given the topic for the upcoming presentation! The shy girl was in charge of the Bug Group, a group consisting of Pokemon that appeared bug-like. Fortunately, Alana didn’t have any trouble with Bug Pokemon even though her experience with them were few. That wouldn’t stop her from going out to visit some bug Pokemon. Plus there was the library and the club to think about after class. She might have to discuss these things with President Skylar on working a bit on her project. The girl got the easy stuff down but there was still a bit of research that needed to be done. ”Good Afternoon Professor! I think by the end of today I can finish it up.” The girl replied cheerfully towards the professor and took note that there were some eggs upon the table. How the child missed that was a bit beyond her. It could have occurred while she had been distracted with communicating with Miss. Taylor. That or the professor was a quick worker and was able to quickly cut to the lecture today.
Another student popped into the classroom, one that was unfamiliar to the girl’s eyes. The Flygon member had starking fiery hair, or maybe it was an interesting shade of pink? Well, if need be, the child could have asked her. Well maybe it was right to say that there were two of them. Two of the girls walked in but only one of them spoke. The other one pointed at the Professor’s Pokemon and seemed to gaze around the classroom. This was a rather interesting sight and one that got the Kingdra member’s curiosity. Alana did not recall noting any twins in the classroom or within the school. The child was rather adamant about that. Yet their appearance was of a carbon copy of each other. They were so much alike that there was no distinguishable difference between the two. If there was a difference, with the exception of one being verbal vs one not, then it may have to do with their reaction to entering class. One was apologetic, while looking quite a bit frazzled and tired, and the other just looked around curiously. At least, it was thanks to the verbal twin, that Alana was able to find out the name of her Breeder Professor.
Well, it didn’t seem that talking was the number one agenda for today. The child took out her notebook in order to recreate the images in front of her. Make no mistake! Alana was no artist but even she could draw an egg. The child would have to mark the certain areas of the five eggs within the incubators. Taking out a coloring pencil she began to shade the different areas of the eggs while detailing about their age and how close they were to hatch.
