"ABBY!" She wasn't wrong. When Abby had decided to join the fight Aiolos had been right behind her. This was her family after all which made them his family as well...Somewhat. It didn't matter, this was important to Abby so it was important to him. So there was no hesitation between the two to help out.

Aiolos hadn't expected the fight to break out so soon, so fast. They had just arrived and the cries were heard. Pae started running and snakes started appearing. Aiolos had taken his eyes off of Abby for only a moment but when he looked back she was gone. "ABBY!" he cried out franticly looking for his love. He heard her call out to him and he looked to see her wrapped by one of the snakes. He jerked forward but they had both told him to stay back. He wavered something and growled. He knew was Abby was up to but...He wanted to help her. He just felt useless.

Success! As her body gripped the blue angels, only the branch kept enough pressure off of her to keep from suffocation. This close, her nose was right up against that soft hair. Such beautiful, silky hair. She quickly shook her head. Focus! Her eyes went back to the one known as 'Aiolos', her mouth parting in a hiss to show her fangs. She could bite the angel right then if she wanted to, but two pae against one...not good odds for her. "Come any closssser and ssshe'sss done for!" Priya threatened, eyes narrowed. They were in a stalemate.

She really needed to get better at her power. Her 'vicious' stick wacking was about as useful as a fly on a horse. As his hands darted forward to clamp onto her wrists, she instantly tried to make them intangible. The stick disappeared instantly, but she was too slow. He clamped around her wrists, and there wasn't enough momentum to pass through. "AGH!" She yelped in pain as the pads of his fingers would briefly pass through her skin before being forced back out. It almost brought her to tears. "We...we could find somewhere. Somewhere just for you. Venus needs this temple." With that she pulled up the leg closest to the harpy to try and kick Takshaka, trying to knock him off balance so she could escape.

Who is engaged? Amatus

Amatus' sudden change in demeanour was a bit shocking to Sedna, a welcome change but still shocking. Was he really making such a big fuse over THAT little bite? Really?What a sissy.

The jab to the stomach catch her off guard, she let out a huge winded breath as her coil on him loosened. Oh, so this was how he fought! "You fight like my sisters!" She hissed as she grabbed a handful of his hair and jerked his head back while throwing her body weight back, attempting to throw him off balance. "Come on, hunk, show me what you're made of." Did she say that out loud?

Who is engaged? Priya and Aiolos

Abby's eyes grew wider as she started to loose air. The branch could only keep her from suffocating for so long before something broke. If it had been a thought on her mind, her money would have been on the branch breaking before she could bust out of these coils. She had pretty much one thing left to try before she had to give up and hope someone could distract this snake thing long enough for her to escape.

It took all the concentration she could muster to attempt to use her aura again. The second she'd gotten trapped like this she'd completely lost all concentration and let go of the tentative hold she'd had on it. Sapphire eyes narrowed, concentrating with all her might, attempting to send this snake into a fit of longing the isle had never seen before.

SNAP!!!

Abby jumped, or did the best she could for a jump. Her branch had just snapped in half. Panic coursed through her, she was about to suffocate, that was the only thing keeping her from loosing all breath! The demi squirmed, shoving the branch where she could, trying her best to get out of the tightly wound coils.

Day: 1
Who is engaged? No one just yet.
Ruby's firey eyes scanned the battle already in process. She blinked slightly as she watched snakes going everywhere, trying to choke the life out of some pae, others seemed like they were just talking. There were bird looking creatures and some of the pae with the fancier wings were shooting arrows at the snakes. This was just as chaotic as last year, only with less having whoopie under the table. Ruby frowned slightly. She had been hoping a certain blue demi would be around but she couldn't see him. Oh well. She would still fight. It was a good test for her after all.

The demon slowly walked down to the temple, trying to find a fight...She guessed? That was why she was here...Partly. To help. She wanted to help after what happened last year. If she hadn't come well, she wouldn't have met Adelphos after all and she was thankful for that...The faster they got the temple back, the better.

When the stick went away, he was confused. She made that appear and could make it un-appear? There was something he'd never seen before. The hissing completely stopped as the moment of curiosity grabbed him. What was she trying to do with her hands? Not understanding, he tighten his own grip to get her to stop what ever it was she was doing.


Then she had to yelp. He instantly brought up his shoulders and ducked his head down expecting to get in trouble. Only again he didn't know what it was he was doing. He loosed his own grip enough to let her go the same time she went to kick him. The only obvious choice was to push her back and try to make a grab for the leg. A good coil kept him from falling over, and allowed him to keep his snack. But that didn't keep him completely upright as he went tilted and had to flail his tail tip plus move a couple muscles to fix it. A snake was all muscle and the teen was no exception. His whole life he trained to take down his father. He was ready.

Still angry he started hissing and ranting, "She does not! Go build her another one. We were born here, this is all we know! Gang up on us, feel powerful attacking in a large group?" His siblings were teenagers, he of course was a man not a baby like them. Granted he didn't care but if he could talk her away then he could go back to his snack.

Who is engaged? A Random Pae




Seema had been practicing her skills as of lately. She had taken to find new and inventive ways to make herself stronger without help from her siblings. Her siblings were simple minded, not really thinking out of the box to learn new tricks aside from spitting, biting and throwing their tails around....

Ok.... so a sibling or two had proven smarter than that, but there was more to self-preservation than just spatting witty comments at your target to get under their skin.

There was one thing her siblings didn't seem to focus on... Constriction. Using the muscles in their entire bodies was a necessity for their race. Granted it was primary used to ensure their prey was sufficiently unable to move or struggle here, but no one seemed to grasp that it could be used in battle too. Everyone was all claws and teeth when the idea of fighting ever came to mind.

Not for Seema.

When not playing along with their more feral displays of dominance, she took to the columns in the 'throne rooms' - or the trees outside the temple - by climbing them, using primarily her tail to keep her body hovering along-side the log of marble.

Trees were easier in the task... Their bark was easier for her muscles to grip and propel upwards to the branches, but today... Today, Seema went for the more challenging task of climbing the columns. They were smoother, thus had less for her muscles to grip. She slipped once in a while, but was always successful in getting to the ceiling. She managed to reach the top today, fingertips and palm calmly brushing against the ceiling of the throne room when her father's voice grasped at her attention.

She nearly slipped at the distraction, but her muscles held fast. Her aqua eyes flashing down below to his frame near the doorway, taking his words to heart, she smirked. Her fangs glistened in the darkened ceiling and she coiled more onto the column structure.

With her body now fully hugging the column, she slowly crept down, braid dangling at the lowest. She waited for some poor sap to come within leaping range, and pounced. She literally let go of the column entirely, dropping from the "sky" and landing on top of some poor unsuspecting Pae and intended to pin them down on the ground in the process. If anything, she'd at least knock them down... and they'd - unfortunately for them, but fortunate for her - break her fall.

Dylo wasn't the fighting type, but... he certainly couldn't stand by idly and do nothing about the clear peril that was before them. After all, the impact this could have would be much greater than simply harming his own mother. It could extend further if not pruned fully. And so he would assist in anyway he could. His brother was right.. the time to take a stand was now.

Day: 1st
Who is engaged? a random naga

She had no problem raising her voice in response to her older brother's rallying cry. If these others knew where their mother was, Thalia was more than ready and willing to do what she had to in order to find out that information. Hjortur's familiar bright colouring made him relatively easy for her to spot in the group of assembled. Of course, she knew he was here. That's why their twins were currently with their cousin, Thalia's niece Aliza.

There was a part of her that was thrilled at having both her family and her children's father to fight beside, now that the situation necessitated a conflict. Would it have been best if Venus had simply reappeared with some harebrained scheme?

Well, that hadn't happened, and this had, so. She pulled back a bow that was quasi-unfamiliar to her, as she knew how to shoot but hadn't used it in a while (parties were typically non-violent after all), and let an arrow fly into the throng opposing them.

Who is engaged? Sedna, Erasmus

Amatus was delighted when he could feel air rushing into his lungs once again due to her slight release. With what little time he had he pushed himself free of her death grip attempting to gain some form of grounding with her. As he shoved he puzzled over her comment. Was it suppose to infuriate him? He did not know her sisters, as far as he was concerned he knew a ton of female fighters who could kick his... behind, and if her sisters were in this room right now then they were doing some behind kicking of their own. Was she just full of herself then? Hmm, intriguing female.

Ah! Distracted again! He knew he had a flaw somewhere. Before he could shove himself away from the female she had her grimy hands in his golden hair and was jerking him back towards her. He felt rage once again, what was it with her touching him all over? She was ruining- oh what was this? A slow smirk curled up his lips, hunk huh? So it worked after all?

As his upper body was falling towards her, he used that momentum to kick his legs out and over himself, his feet landed on her shoulders. They met eye to eye, his own face upside down to hers, a huge grin on his face, "Hunk huh?" he cooed at her. "Well thanks. You aren't... too bad yourself." his voice lowered itself, his eyes half open as he planted a soft kiss on her lips.

His hand then jutted out, grabbing her wrist and violently twisting it back, the force so hard in an attempt to not only release his hair, but to leave an impression that no one NO ONE touched the hair. With it released, he pushed off with his legs landing a safe distance away from the female, and began to run in the direction of his brother. Two were always better than one, even if it meant turning his back on her, "Erasmus!" he yelled with a slight whine, "These snakes don't play fair- she touched the hair, man!"

Who is engaged? Anali (the dice in shop thread demanded it so... >>; )



Adrasteia had heard the rallying calls. Her... 'interest' piqued at the idea of a gathering so near to the temple she had visited a year prior. The days since had been dull and uneventful. Or... at least she had assumed as such. Without being able to recognize and express emotion made it hard for the pae to determine if her days since last Venus' day had been dull and uneventful. But based on the general consensus of various others she had met in her travels, they surely would qualify.

With that out of the way, she turned her attentions to the group heading towards the temple. Her wings fluttered her down to the group, listening intently to the one who seemed to pep talk them into battle.

Hmm. A battle?

Adrasteia had never been in a battle before. If there was anything she made an actual caring effort to do, it was to try everything at least once.

Everything began so fast afterwards. Pae started shouting and drawing weapons. They began charging and attacking the weird snake-like beings that had .... er... how did that other pae put it? 'Crashed' the party last year...? Yes. She was sure that was it.

Even still, all the others seemed to start partaking in this strange ritual they called battle. She merely assumed that they would soon turn their actions upon her as well if she didn't join in to the efforts.

Her black eyes shifted as she walked towards the temple behind some of the others. With scythe in hand, she turned her attention to a particular Naga child. Odd. The smaller ones seemed to have grown fast in the past year. Still, it did not deter her from readying to swing her her scythe upon the Naga teen.

"I've never been in a battle before..." she spoke in a flat, monotone droll. "Is this how it is done?" she then asked, swinging her scythe forward to the Naga. Whether it hit or miss didn't seem to bother her. She remained emotionless. Her expression flat and unchanging. Almost eerie!

Day: 1
Who is engaged? No one for now

Phaenna had been quiet, quiet for awhile. She had almost become a ghost, always out looking for their lost mother, always finding nothing.She was disheartened every day but she didn't give up. She couldn't. They HAD to find mother. The days turned to weeks and the weeks to months without anything. Not a word. Phaenna couldn't help but feel numb.

Rumours spread to them that mother had escaped but, why didn't she come home? Phaenna didn't understand but they all knew it was time to take back the Temple. Their home away from home. They needed to outs those snakes and Phaenna was all but ready to fight.

She had come to the battle prepared, she wore her battle armor. Her spear was ready. She was ready. She was going to fight for all she was worth. This is what she lived for.

Phaenna couldn't help but feel some pride as Eros let out his rallying speech. She didn't know he had it in him. This would be hard but she knew they could do it. They had to. For mother.

His father had given an order and he was going to follow it or die trying. That, alone, was on Ysaln's mind as his eyes turned toward the approach. As he engaged the approach. As, with a hiss, he took to the shadows, using his overall darker colouring as much to his advantage as he could. When the enemy arrived, he waited for an opportune moment and struck out at a female with skin a much more vivid red than his own.
