Gravitational Molestation Ooo, a new challenger appears. Amensu Saje Well, well, well--
First off, he's not stopping the argument because he can't support his opinion. He's stopping the argument because he's not going to stoop to the level of your arrogance. There are some 'battles' that you can see there's no point in fighting. This is because of a few reasons: (a) you see that they're too bull-headed to talk to, (b) you know it's a pointless battle, (c) you have better things to do, and (d) you're mature enough that you realize it's pointless to argue with those who choose to act like children.
Although you have nothing better to do than sit here and argue about a card game over the internet, I'm sure he has plenty more he could be doing both online and offline. You may have no life, but I'm sure he does. You are correct, I don't have anything better to do right now. Why? Just got out of the Army, and am cruising on relaxing until the summer semester of college starts. (a) Sadly, I'm not too bull-headed to talk to. I may be arrogant but I support my arrogance with actual intelligence. This may be immature of me but, I rightfully don't care. I enjoy this. (b) Discussion and debate increase community knowledge. Ideas held by a handful of people are expressed between each other via a public medium. Those ideas are heard by others who can then develop their own opinion and jump in on the discussion. Eventually the dust settles and a victorious side has been determined. Knowledge has been increased over all, a good thing. (c) Yawn, already hit on this. (d) This is simply a repeat of (b) with an added on insult targeting me. It's cute that you think your opinion of me matters in this. Facts kid, facts. Amensu Saje Secondly, no skill back in those days? There's no skill nowadays! Blackwings, Gladiator Beasts, etc. just take away from the skill to play the game. Anybody can grab a deck like that and be "good," but not anybody can build a deck of mostly Normal Monster and/or weak-ish [sometimes strong] Effect Monsters and still be good. I never said there was skill in today's game, did I? You preach to the wrong person kid. Amensu Saje Back then they really did have to rely on the skill of their deck build, as well as their skill as a duelist. The Blackwings, Gladiators Beasts, and more just play themselves. I admit they're good, but it hardly takes any skill at all to use 'em. What do you run? Blackwings? I'm just guessing. If you're running Blackwings it would semi-explain your arrogance. First, there was no skill back then. It was just a slower form of the herp derp of today's game. Second, I run whatever I feel like at the time. Currently I have put aside; Doppel Plants, Tigerless Gladiators, Karakuri Machina Plant, building Fabled, Scraps, Gravekeeper's, yadda yadda. Try again kid. Amensu Saje And finally, you'll never get anywhere if you're so stubborn and bull-headed that you won't listen to opinions without freaking out. There's no reason to bash somebody because of their opinion. You're not always right, and it's a shame that you think you are. If you'd learn to be more open to opinions and not think everybody has to agree with you, or think the same way you do then things would go a lot smoother. There's a point where it moves from 'opinion' to 'arrogance'. I'm afraid I have to say that you past that point a long time ago. I'm not freaking out. I'm rather calm and have been this entire time. There's been laughter at my end during loading screens of Borderlands while playing with a friend of mine. We've rather been enjoying the idiocy being fed to us. I do listen to the opinions of others, that's why I'm able to effectively counter and obliterate them. There's PLENTY of reason to bash people because of their opinions. Since you didn't specify, I can abuse this right now. You wouldn't bash a racist pig? Sexism? etc? Hell, even now you are bashing me because of my opinion on this topic. Hypocrites are the best kind of people to bash, they deserve it the most. I never said I am always right and I don't think I'm always right. That conclusion was born of very few scenarios in which, I was always right. Everything from the bolded point on is a misconception of who I am. Your opinion of me is misconstrued and flat out wrong most of the time but, I really don't care. I just enjoy pointing out that you're wrong and explaining why. It's fun. Opinion never switches to arrogance. They are two separate words with two very different definitions. Wrong again. Amensu Saje Thank you for your time--
-Amensu Saje Thank YOU for the laughs. Opinion can move to arrogance because you get so caught up in your own opinion and what you think that you then become arrogant to everything else. Just trying to further your education. It seems to be lacking.
Blackwings were just an example, actually. I wasn't actually saying that you were running Blackings. That's what question marks are for. A question. I was simply asking if you were running Blackwings, and then I simply stated that it would explain why you are the way you are. So, in this case, you're wrong, because I can't be wrong if I'm asking a question and then making a simple example / statement. Sorry.
Well, rather than pointing out that people are wrong, or that what they like / dislike is stupid, you could try being constructive and using your knowledge to help 'em out. So far all I see you do in this guild is bash everything that everybody says. You never give advice / constructive criticism. Those are what people want when they post things [e.g.:: deck lists, questions, etc.].
Okay, if you think you're all that at dueling, and your "facts," "knowledges," etc. are always "right," why don't we duel? We'll see if your deck works better, or mine. I'll admit the deck I'd duel with isn't the best. It's simply just a fun deck to use. In fact, some of the cards don't even have any value in the deck... they're just there. But I'd be more than willing to try it out against you. What do you say?

Yes, we are. You guys only go over the same things over and over again. Why? Because they always come up. Well, by doing the way you two do then you always bring up the fact that you guys apparently have no life.Mustard Like Soup Are we really going to the "no life" fight again? Really? Do you not understand that not much time in a day is taken by debating with you? It's not meant to be an insult. It's meant to be truth. Which it is. I don't see how you could ever have a life the way I see you here all the time bashing everything people have to say. It's not just this period in time that you've done this, you know.Gravitational Molestation Or that it's really not that good of an insult? Oh no, a period of time in my life where things are slow. Run in fear! Joe has no life! :v

Axean, I'm posting via my iPhone while on a bus headed towards a Civil War reenactment. I will have in depth posts later tonight, if my hotel has Wifi, if not then Sunday afternoon I will crush Sharb and Amangina or whatever his name is. I ask that you keep the thread open so that we might coordinate these duels.
Shrab, set the set limit. What set would you like to be able to use up to? Know that I don't own most of the older stuff so I will be using YVD to supplement.
Amangina, we will play soon enough. Full match, with sidedecks. YVD won't be necessary for me here.

Threads like this are hilarious. It's funny how good players like Gravitational Molestation and Mustard Like Soup do offer constructive advice to players asking for it and then those same players asking for that advice seem to take it the wrong way and proceed to cast the first stone. I have never seen Gravitational or Mustard "bash" the person looking to improve their game, only they way the latter actually plays the game.
Now for my actual contribution to the topic, I do miss the good ol' days of Yu-Gi-Oh!. And I will admit that it was cool when you did get the chance to summon that special monster of yours, be it BEWD or DM. Dark magician was one of my favorites then and it still is today, only today there are cards that outclass it by miles. A card that looks awesome =/= a card that is awesome.
