Well, over ze last few months, I have been REALLY getting into the roots of ska.
My new songs that I can't live without are:
Lion of Judah by Laurel Aitken
Beautiful and Dangerous by Desmond Dekker
Music Like Dirt by Desmond Dekker

But even odder, I have been almost ditching ska, and listening to jazz.
I've been listening to SOOO much Dizzy Gillespie, it's scary ><

The Big Sleep by Streetlight Manifesto
Keasby Nights by Catch 22
I'm In Love with a Girl Named Spike by Skankin Pickle (kickass rhythm this one has)
9mm and a Three Piece Suit by Catch 22
Hooligans by Hepcat
You could make a novel of the songs I couldn't live without, and these are only a few of the SKA ones.

Hmm, let's see, songs that define me... um, "Knock on Wood" by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, "What Goes Around Comes Around", by Catch 22, "Superman", by Goldfinger, "You don't Know(the ******** off song)" and "Take on Me" by RBF. I listen mostly to Sublime and the Long Beach Dub Allstars, and I listen to alot of No Wake Zone and Slightly Stoopid. I love it all.
