Lana listened to Endria answer her question, 'Thanks' She said, 'I was also wondering, how do they get their brightness, who determines the stars magnitude anyway?'

"Astronomers use a scale called the "Magnitude Scale" to measure how bright a star is. The absolute magnitude or the amount of light a star actually puts out is mainly determined by its mass. A massive O type star shines with more power than a feeble M type star. Even when a star is old and leaves the main sequence a massive star, now a supergiant, outshines a lighter star eventhough all stars swell up and becomes more luminous with age.
The apparent magnitude or the light we see here on earth is determined by the distance."

Lana listened to the Professor, 'Thank you' She said 'But, isn't the chances of making mistakes about the magnitude of stars be quite large, as we can't measure it accurately so far away from the stars, and no matter how strong a telescope is, it wouldn't make for ideal calculations.'

(Hey, i'm pretty sure i turned in lesson four, you've marked down as missing a lesson, did you get my pm's.)

Lana then turned around and pointed her wand at James 'Immobulus' She pronounced clearly.

"Not really Lana. There is a very complex equation that measures light and distance and just about every other thing you could possibly imagine, just to make sure it's accurate."

Well, if you listen to Isaac Asimov then the answered is: A universe in which there exists such a thing as an irresistible force is, by definition, a universe which cannot also contain an immovable object. And a universe which contains an immovable object cannot, by definition, also contain an irresistible force. So the question is essentially meaningless: either the force is irresistible or the object is immovable, but not both.
So, to answer your question, yes, I believe so. Zeus intervened because you could only have one or the other.
