The Alpha

He gave a soft chuckle and looked her over. "It didn't turn out to be all that bad." He smiled.

Alina smiled herself. "Well it worked out for me but I'm not so sure others will think the same." If what her father had told her many were not happy that she was the Alpha or that she was back in the village.

"I'm not sure beating a few people up will help either. But that's there problem and I really don't think they'll do much about it."  

[Devourer of Cupcakes]

"I think you may be right and if not I can always unleash some of the Alpha power." They had walked about three blocks and Alina noticed more people on the streets looking at them or more likely her. She guessed word had gotten out about her being back and about her beating people up. "Do you think more people are watching us?"

Nero didn't have to look around to answer her. He nodded. "Yeah. It seems word had gotten around about you returning home." When she mentioned Alpha power he was curious what she could do."

"You don't think that my top four have heard about what I'm doing, do you?" If they did that would make her job even harder or more fun. It could be fun to have to hunt them down.

"If they haven't yet they will soon." Nero admitted. The abundance of people watching them certaintly wasn't decreasing.

Alina got lost in her thoughts, thinking of all the fun she could have while hunting. When she came out of her thoughts she stopped walking and looked at Nero. "I think I'll stop for today and head over to the west gate to look at the mountains. The time away should give the people time to adjust to my being here."

"That's probably for the better." He said with a nod as he looked back at her. "Well I'm gonna head to work. I'm sure you can find me if you want to." He gave her a quick smile before walking off.

Alina didn't really feel like walking so instead she jumped up onto the nearest roof and jumped from one to the other till she reached the gate. This was her favorite place in the village; it never ceased to amaze her. "I'll just lay low for a bit," she said as she stretched out and closed her eyes.

Nero eventually made his way to the movie store. It wasn't the best of jobs, but the pay was decent and he had a lot of free time. He put his feet up on the counter, grabbed a slushie, and pulled his book out as he started to read.

Alina didn't realize that she fallen asleep until she felt the sensation one got when falling. Her eyes popped open and she had just enough time to land on her feet. Slowly getting up Alina noticed an older woman watching her. It took a moment but Alina realized who she was...her old teacher. Going over she and Alina talked for a time before parting ways. Smiling Alina opened the door to the movie store, "Hi Nero."

Nero looked over his book and smiled. He marked the page he was on and shut it. "I knew you were gonna find me eventually." He said with a chuckle. "You need anything or did you just come in to talk?"

"Oh I came to talk," she said as she moved closer to him. "I meet our old teacher just a bit ago and she was very lose lipped about things and people."

He put his feet down as he watched her. If she got any closer she'd be hopping over the counter. "Really, what did she say?"
