"Huh?" Wasn't that just his imagination? He rub his eyes, thought that he is still imagining things. Unfortunately, it wasn't an imagination but the kodama is really right there. "Gah! I'm sorry! I-" He draw back as he is trying to explain what was happening. "I saw a bee...Yeah! A bee." Laughing like an idiot. "It's gone now anyway. Hahahaha..."

"A bee?" It was a simple question really. "A bee?" Umeda asked again, looking at Izanagi as if he were an idiot. "You screamed... like a school girl... BECAUSE OF A BEE?!" Oh yes... the kodama was angry. He shifted his weight to his left left, "Have you forgotten why I'm here, Izanagi?" Umeda leaned forward until his nose was almost touching the student's own nose. "To Keep. You. Safe. And this isn't helping..."

"Yeah, I hate bugs...and I scream like a girl when I see them. Ha..." He has to admit he did scream like a girl, but he doesn't scare bugs at all. Well, he just can't tell the kodama the truth, can he? That will let him laugh his a** off.
Don't lean so close to me idiot.. He wants to said it to the kodama, he couldn't, however. He push the kodama's face away with his palm before he can see him blush. "Just why do you think I'll be in danger?"

Noe rolled his eyes as he straightened, folding his arms around his waist as he thought. "I don't think you'll be in danger... I know." he smirked darkly. "Have you ever considered that Oiwa-san believes that you're Iemon? And... taking that into account... wouldn't Oiwa-san be... angry?" Umeda shrugged as he turned, walking to the window in the living room and looking outside. "It shouldn't be any of my business... but it is. Oiwa-san would probably kill you in hopes of getting to torture Iemon's soul... and that death would be far from pleasant, Izanagi." Of course, the kodama knew, that he was probably exaggerating the entire affair... but scaring the kid into behaving would be easier than yelling at him every five minutes. Wouldn't it?

Izanagi isn't sure if the what the kodama said is real. But he know Iemon...and Oiwa. This is just like the act he watch in the movie. Oiwa would probably kill him in hopes of getting to torture Iemon's soul and that death would be far from pleasant. For what Iemon have done to Oiwa, the betrayal of love...Izanagi stay quiet and he is worry that he will just die in Oiwa's hand. "Why? Why are you protecting me, from Oiwa? What is the reason? If...if I'm really Iemon...I deserve to be killed by her, doesn't it? If all the stories are true..." He frowns as he stare at his own feet, shivering.

Sighing, Umeda shook his head slightly, "Sometimes... stories are stories. Iemon and Oiwa turned into a legend... a myth... a story. But I lived it." his black gaze focused intently on Izanagi. "I was there, for every minute of it. Iemon told me everything he planned... so yes, Oiwa does deserve to kill him." he sighed again, running a hand through his long black hair. "But then again... revenge never really solved anything. Did it?" The kodama shrugged, leaning against the wall next to the window now. "As for why I'm protecting you... call it a last act."

"You're not cool. Ruining the act..." Izanagi laughed out loud. Its true, stories are stories. It is also the past. "I'm not sure what I will do if I see her. Probably go crazy like Iemon did back then and commit suicide." He said it jokingly. This is too much...the burden of Iemon's sin. Too much. Izanagi is just a teenager. He didn't expect his life will be affected, just because of he 'might be' Iemon's descendant. "Hey, do you drink beer?" He ask the kodama who is leaning against the wall now. There are many cans of beer in the refrigerator and he has been wanting to try it the whole time.

Umeda smiled slightly, the expression sad. If Izanagi didn't realize what Noe had meant by 'last act'... then it was, perhaps, better not to tell him. "Yeah, I drink beer. Sapporo mostly." the kodama spoke, turning his smile to a scowl. "But aren't you a little YOUNG to be drinking?"
Inside however, the kodama's mind was whirling over this 'last act'. He was old... older than any kodama he'd ever heard of, and it wasn't just his age either. Umeda was powerful... too powerful... and he knew that sooner or later, that power would consume itself. When it did... he would simply cease to exist. Ever since Iemon's death, Umeda had been unable to do anything of any real significance. He had loved the man... and had watched as he drove himself mad and eventually committed suicide. Noe hadn't been able to stop him then... So, logically... Protecting the Iemon that existed now, would be, in every sense of the word, Umeda Noe's last act. He either died protecting the reincarnation of the man he had once loved... of winked out of existence forever. The kodama liked the former option.

"Lucky you. My father drink only that brand. And I'm not young! I turned 16 four months ago!" He said before he take out 2 cans of beer from the kitchen, give a can to the kodama. He sits on the couch, open the can and have a sip.
It tasted...awful. "Yuck..." He stick his tongue out, wonder why adult love to drink such awful thing. "Adults has weird taste." But it has been opened. Always remember his grandfather's lecture, 'Don't waste your food, Izanagi'. No matter how awful it taste, Izanagi will finish it slowly. Not wanted to waste it.
He notice the kodama has something to think of. "What's in your mind?"

Umeda moved behind Izanagi once the boy was sitting, and plucked the can from his grasp. "You're sixteen. You're not old enough to drink, brat." the kodama replied, downing half of Izanagi's can in one massive gulp. He shrugged, sitting on the cough beside the student. "Besides, it doesn't taste awful. Now that s**t from America... that Budweiser and Bud Light crap... there's a nasty hangover waiting to happen. But this..." Noe took another gulp, now the can only had a third left. "This stuff is delicious. Well, this and Mexican beer... not that Corona stuff but the darker ones... those are good too." The Kodama wasn't a novice to alcohol. He'd had quite a while to become acquainted with the substance. And while it wasn't quite as fun as opium had been back in it's heyday... it was still pretty damn good. That next question however... "It's nothing." Noe said, finishing Izanagi's beer and finally cracking open his own. "I was just thinking about how I'm going to go about protecting you." Okay, so it was only a half lie.
(((OOC: Budweiser and Bud Light give me migraines when I drink them, so I tend to drink Mexican beer since I live in Tx and, you know, it's easier to get... but every once in a while I can nab me some Sapporo and DELICIOUS!!! I loves it so! As for the Opium comment... stuff used to be legal back in the day. Not anymore... cause it, duh, kills you. But I figured Umeda would be the sort to have tried it back when it WAS legal.)))

After a few gulps the kodama took, the can has only left a few beer...That was nice of the kodama helping him to downing it more than half? "Bud and Bud what? Crona?" He never heard of any brands like that. (Yeah right <.< You never?) The kodama know so much. Izanagi feel...tiny, small...useless and stupid. Shrinking smaller as he think about it.
Did the kodama finished his beer? Well, that is good too. At least the beer wasn't wasted. "You lied." he said after the kodama replied. Crossing his legs and smirked. "Do you really need to think about that? I mean, you are already a kodama when Iemon still alive. That means, you are much older than Oiwa and far stronger than her. You can kill her with just a finger..." He held up a finger when saying about the finger killing thing. "By the way, how old are you?"

"Don't worry about it. I'm sure when you're older, you'll find out about lots of different beers." 'Well yeah I lied... I'm hardly going to go all sentimental on a sixteen year old!' the kodama thought to himself. He leaned back, crossing one leg over the other at the knee, and sipped the beer. "Protection and power don't work that way kid. I'm not the same sort of spirit Oiwa-san is... and THAT makes one helluva difference." black eyes focused on the ceiling as he tilted his head back. "Ever hear of Abe no Seimei? Yeah... I was born when he died... in 1005."

What does he mean different? A kodama and ghost like Oiwa are different? Aren't they still the same? They are both call...spirits? Izanagi is too dumb to understand. The question attracted Izanagi. He maybe has no talent in study or sports. But he has interest in history. "Ah! Abe no Seimei, an omyoji who is a leading specialist of onmyodo during the middle of the Heian Period in Japan. This I know. He has a shrine named after him in Kyoto!" He held his hand up, answer proudly. "So...it means, you're over 1000 years old?" Izanagi is amazed. How can someone that is SO old still looks SO young? "Uso?" As he flutter to the kodama, gazing at him.

(((OOC: Your phrase should just be "Uso!" for "Your kidding!" because, while it does mean to lie, when someone asks something and the other person doesn't believe them, it's typical to use "uso". "Gendai" means "Present age/day" as in a measurement of time... and I really don't think that should have been in the sentence. Maybe you're hearing the phrase wrong since you used "Hu so" instead of "Uso"?)))

"Get out of my face!" Umeda replied, pushing Izanagi back onto the sofa next to him. "God, you're like a kid and I'm some sparkly toy... okay actually I have been called a sparkly toy before..." It was true. "Yes, I'm over a thousand years old." he hissed, downing more of the beer. "And why is that such a great thing? Do you know how BORING the world is after a thousand years?"

(( edited. ^^' you dont actually pronounce the 'h'. same like 'masu'...the 'u' is silent.))
Izanagi thinks maybe he talk too much tonight. Did he anger the kodama? He has never been talking like this after his grandfather passed away. His parents are always working in somewhere far from him, less contact too. I should just shut my mouth now. He thought to himself after being pushed away.
Sitting on the sofa, next to the kodama. Keep quiet, didn't know how to answer the kodama's question. Afterall, he will never know how it feels like to live so long. Was it really that boring? Only those who lived so long, knows. He notice the kodama's beer will finish soon as he stand up and grab somemore from the refrigerator. Putting them all on the table, he crack open a can, gulping and downing it fast. He pity himself as he will die anytime soon. Life is short...at least the immortal ones, won't have to care when they will die.
