Secrets of the Gate

[Mundi Mortem]

edward, you will come upon a field of green that seems to rise from the mist in the early mornings light. Sleep edaward in the bare desert and the earth mother will find you...

Edward nodded and went to that very place, he layed down, passing out.

The early morning light peeked over the ridge of the sand laden hills the grass wet from the morning dew, a field of green surrounded the young alchemist as he slept. Newton snuggled next to edward as he snored. the earth pounded faintly with the footsteps of trouble coming in the distance. Newtons ears stood straight up in alarm as he looked up examining their surroundings. his little heart raced something big and dangerous was coming!! He quickly began to nudge ed and lick his face trying to wake him...

Edward groaned, waking with a huge yawn and stretch. "what is it?" he asked sleepily.

the black cat meowed wildly at him. trying to tell him unsuccessfully what was coming. ~ the ground shook violently as if there was an earth quake, a deafening, unearthly roar filled their ears. "mreow, mreow, DINOSAUR!!" the feline said clearly and frantic, Newton jumped into edwads arms, "MREOWRRUUNN!!!" newton growled.

Edward's eyes bludged as he got up quickly and ran as fast as he could.
"WHOAAAAA!!!"

a blood thirsty historic creature chased them across the field toward... was that a cliff up ahead?? Newtons hair stood on ends as he looked ahead. he howled hoping edward was seeing what he was seeing...

Edward seen the cliff...
"oh s**t!! Are we going to go off that thing???!!!"  

[Mundi Mortem]

newton shook his head trying to think. " Meowrrwell we'll have too! TRANSMUTE SOMETHING!"

Edward clapped his hands, creating a long set of stairs going down the cliff, running down them.

Newton clung to edwards head as he flew down the stairs.

Edward leapt off the last step, looking back and clapiing his hands to make them dissapear.

the feline gave a sigh of relief. before his senses caused him even more alarm as he looked ahead. his eyes widened, " Meowrr GO THE OTHER WAY! GO THE OTHER WAY!!!" he howled at the sight of the small desert at their feet.

Edward spun the other way immediately, huffing heavily.

i giant slithering reptile rose from beneath the sand just as edward took off, scales matching the sand in color and yellow acid dripping from enormous fangs.. hissing madly as it was getting ready to strike.
