Matt Blue We're talking about whether or not CED is broken outside of the Yata combo, remember? How short is your attention span, anyway? 3000 points of burn IS significant. If you solemned once in the duel, your life would be almost all gone, even if you hadn't taken any other damage. The banlist is horrid. It's obvious that you're just a scrub who can't beat anyone without broken cards that make Yugioh even more luck based then it already is. Don't tell me you're one of those idiots who believe CCV is broken. You do know currently it's a -2 advantage unless it's with sangan correct? The ban list is horrid I agree. Who ever's idea it was to put malicious at 3 and allure at 3 was god damn ridiculous.

Now on the subject of Gorz. It's broken but only to a certain extent. At three it'll be like omg yata+CED broken but what's gona happen is gorz auto 1. Why? Look at Japan's ban list then come back.
At 3 this is what happens, Coldwave end turn. Take damage drop gorz drop gorz drop gorz burn your opponent next turn game.
At one you only get 1 gorz out ect...
Now CED being broken....it determines situation. In zombies from what I read with Mezuki, what would be you're light? Last time I checked decent zombie decks doesn't consist of a single light card nether the less of any light card except d.d. warrior lady that would maintain the consistancy of zombies. Matt you were stupid to mention despari when you could auto call game with Il Blud.
Now in LS CED can be broken for the simple fact you can rush your opponent with a big field and drop CED. Teledad not so much because you're dealing with many situational cards.
Now in today's format I will side with Sieg CED w.o Yata is not broken.
Why? First thing Imperial Iron Wall. You cannot pay the cost to special The Envoys thus he can't come out. This means delaying your opponent from any hopes of CED touching the field for at least one and with today's decks one turn is all you need.
Next point D.D. Crow. Yes I know OMG IZ HAZ MO DARKS AND LIGHTS IN MAH GRAYVE SO DA DD CROWZ AINT GONZA STOPAS MEH
Slap face no. Most decks that can fit CED will be lacking one or the other in terms of cost. So simply remove that "one" they'll have in their grave delaying for another turn.
Now my all time favorite decision CCV
Ok Special CED calling priority? YOU ARE! OMGSH CCV CHAINSZ!!!!!! There goes most of the damage coming at you not to mention a possibility of them drawing into s**t.
Now what I've seen you've failed to mention sieg *I may be wrong but I've yet to see this* The anti meta or the usual summon/effect stoppers.
Royal Oppression, Vanity Fiend, Thunder King, Doomcalibur knight, Divine wrath, solemn judgement...ney I go on?
Today's format makes CED not look so spectacular as it was in past formats.

I mean, god forbid I have more then 2 monsters with 1500+. GOD FORBID.

Seriously guys. Gorz isn't broken, because of his awkward ss requirement. He's nice at 1 in decks that can't protect their field very well but that's about it. He's only at 1 because of a situation when he was at 3 and players would leave their field wide open and their opponent would just never attack into it, for fear of hitting one of the hojillion Gorz their opponent was bound to have. It slowed the game down way too much and they kiboshed that. That's all.
Dark Armed Dragon is not broken because its ss requirement is awkward as well. Prometheus is the only reliable way of setting up for it. Basically it's just a lucky hit in a deck that's really about flooding the field with Synchros, something you use while comboing out to make the game yours that turn, instead of later. Basically, if you can Allure it without a look back, it's not broken. It's not at three because of the stupid play of Cold Wave, lucky lucky Dragon Dragon Dragon, blow up all your guys, shuffle up now. Too RNG-y.
CED is not broken outside of cards like Sangan or Goblin Zombie that give advantage on hitting the bin because it sets the field to 0-0 and your opponent gets to see the next card. But, when you do have one of those types of cards, it gets slightly less fair, because you get to empty your opponent's field on command and get a guy to take advantage of it. It's only really sick with Yata, one of a tiny number of actually broken cards in the game.
Dark Grepher is not broken. Malicious is not broken. Viruses are not broken. Allure is not broken. Hell, half the stuff on the banlist isn't broken. Cards are almost never broken in a vacuum. You need combos before things can begin the descent to Unfair, and even then they're still not Broken until they net you as many cards or life points as you want without costing you any cards. Two-card OTKs get banned, decks like Tele-DAD and soon Zombie-DAD stay alive.

I made a deck awhile back that focused on: -Getting Noreals into the grave -Phantom of Chaos -Wipe field and hand of both players, then I draw 1. -Special Summon Despair to own face. It worked pretty well, since getting rid of Despair or withstanding it proved hard when you only got one draw to do it. If not Pojo, where do you guys go to get your decks rated? Though I suppose it wouldn't matter if you were playing Meta, since Tele-DAD is pretty easy to build.

I usually solo build all my decks with no problems, but when I want second opinions I turn to my friends. We and rate and test our decks together for the most part. I'd rather playtest and construct decks in person with people whom I know are good than post it on the internet. Just my MO 3nodding

It's usually pretty easy to tell apart the good fixes from the bad, in my experience. I always play decktypes that are quirky and odd, so sometimes I completely skim over some good support that people can give me fixes for (Example: I forgot Salvage existed in my Junklands deck, a combo of Froggy Wetlands and Junk Warrior).
Others I am torn between a few cards, like Hand Destruction for more draw, and discards to the grave, or Terraforming to grab the all important Crystal Beast field spell? Or do I get the Crystal Promises for additional tribute fodder? Stuff like that.
