I remember records and how you had to flip them over to hear the other side and they'd skip and scratch.
I remember watching men land on the moon for the first time.
I remember my first grade teacher paddling me and she wasn't brought up for child abuse.

I remember helping one of my friends in shopclass make a new paddle for one of the AP's because the old one had broken on his hindquarters. (we wrapped the handle in leather for a better grip and even drilled a few holes in the paddle to reduce the air resistance)

Reading these makes me miss so much for back then; laugh at the items I still have [atri & record player])
I remember when they had cartoons on starting at 5 am, then again after school. TV had shows set up so the racier programs, like Dallas were on after kids went to bed. I remember the excitement of not having to sneak lipstick to school and being allowed to wear it (Jr high age).
I'm sure there's more.

I remember when there was TV worth watching.
I remember when content meant story and not how many special fx or sex or violence was in something.
I remember when the ESRB was (more of) a joke.
I remember when there was no ESRB.
I remember when you couldn't say a** or s**t or b***h on the public airwaves.
I remember when a hoe was a garden impliment.
I remember when being labeled a slut was about the end of your social career.
I remember when pants fit correctly.
I remember when fabric was not see-through by default.
I remember when Mr. T was the only one that had bling or looked good with it.
I remember when rap was good.
I remember a time before computers.
I remember much more, but I don't wanna type anymore sweatdrop

I remember when I had to walk 1 mile to elementary school, then 1 1/2 miles to middle school, then 2 miles to high school until I could borrow the car. Some days my hair would freeze on the way.
I wore galoshes, bobby socks and short skirts until they started allowing girls to wear slacks to school.
