Do your parents Hit you?

When I was little my parents disciplined me with a long thin stick >.<
mostly cuz it hurts at the time but doesn't leave scars or bruises >o<
haha they don't do that anymore tho (they stopped when I was in 5th grade i think), and now long lectures XD

What is your opinion on Asian Parents Hitting there Children. Do you support it or do you think that it is bad?

i think its good to be hit and everything

but for a good cause !
you cant be hit and s**t for no reason, that just doesnt make any sense

without the discipline you wont know the consequences and harsh things in life

Well...people learn things in different ways...so if you need to be hit to learn a lesson...you deserve it c:

Like a lot of people have said in the previous posts, I think that hitting is alright as long as it's for discipline. I think that a lot of kids would be out of control if there wasn't a bit of hitting, or a fear of getting hit.
I used to get hit as a child, but I'm old enough now and just get lectured and this weird wide-eyed look. O.o

But personality captures the heart.

I would get hit sometimes when I was a kid, but only when I was actually bad and not hard enough to leave bruises. My American gf said her brother got spanked, so it's not as if discipline is so different all over the world. Even so, I only support it to an extent. My gf and I would never use it on our children. We're too soft. =w=

I think there are other ways than to use abuse as dicipline... for me, that would be my last option... I used to get hit too. Now im a teenager, and i dont get pushed or slapped but it used to lead me to suicide at age 1o.

My parents tried to hit me and my siblings when we were children, but always ran away so they kinda gave up. >.<

But I think getting hit is fine as long as its not just smacking your child around for no reason.
