In Biblical reference, mankind began as ash and dust, which God breathed life into. I thought that reference would be obvious for one of such scholarly aptitude as thou.

I am aware. I have been reading the Bible (Old Testament) in school, recently.
You, it seems, missed my own reference (dependent upon to which translation you refer. The King James seems to be what you speak about, but others begin differently).
"In the beginning, there was no thing."
Or there was
Thus, when I said to begin and end at _______, I referred to the universe as opposed to man alone.

I am only familiar with certain facets of Christianity, as I have only read certain Bibles. I am familiar with Core Christianity, Catholic Christianity, Mormonism, and Gideon Christianity.
