Tim Angelfire I can't really tell, I always ask. Do you know how many people don't understand that? Seriously, I would rather that people ask than make things up.

asianpianokeys When i ask people how they can tell filipinos apart from other asians is because of our noses. Thats what most of my friends said. For Koreans i can tell them by their eyes. And for Chinese i can tell by their height, and eyes. For vietnamese i can also tell them by their eyes. (Wow. i have a problem with eyes or something. But its true though.) So tell me. How do you tell certain asian races apart from another? ok...i feel offenced. how is chinese short D:< (by height i dont think you mean we are tall >_>)

I have chinese eyes. Very much so. Also, my skin tone is paler, and gets more orangey with a tan. It's also easy to tell because of the shape of my face, and the height of my cheekbones.
I'm just very chinese. If you're really good at facial perception, you can even tell where in China I was born o.o
Honestly, I think it's rediculous when people say 'I can't tell asians apart', because we all look VERY different. They either have not been exposed to enough asians, or they're rediculously stupid. The only thing that separates us from the fact that we're white is that obviously, our hair and eyes are all dark. But different asians even have different tones of hair, so it's not like we all look the same o.o;;;. The only thing that makes it more confusing is, a lot of people are not all one ethnicity or even all asian, so you have to take that into account. If that's the case, it's best to just ask politely (and not something stupid like 'what kind of asian are you').

skin tone is a huge factor for me, eyes sometimes, hair color-more Japanese and Korean people tend to dye their whole head while Chinese just prefer highlights, face shape, just random things

People can neverrrr tell what ethnicity I am. Because I have none of the common traits.
I don't have a filipino nose. I don't have asian eyes I'm very pale.
so a lot of people mistake me for being something else- Indian, Spanish or Chinese (though I dunno how someone would confuse me as chinese o__o )
I can always tell if someone is filipino or not We're so easy to spot. I just look at the eyes, nose and skin tone and sometimes hair.
For the other ethnicities, I can tell by eyes and skin tone as well.
