The apartments where I live have been very cooperative so far. They're gonna let me check out the apartment which just got vacated on floor above me. So I may have a chance to breathe free in an apartment cooled down by the lovely, usually clear mountain air of the area! Now, if I could just get a job and figure out how to install a second-hand version of Visual Studio I just got without it constantly giving me the "I Can't Find vb6.olb" error, then I'd be pretty close to being happy!
I probably better not list what would make me ecstatic, because it's pretty political.

I'm so tired... mentally and physically. There is so much going on right now out of the ordinary. To add to the fun, one of my cats came home friday very sick. About a week and a half ago our cat, Fred, came home with a bite on his foot that looked infected... I kept cleaning it out and putting stuff on it and it did get better. He was missing for about 3 days, he came back friday very sick, we did not realize he had also gotten a bite on his lower abdomen. He had developed a large absess and it looked like it was going to break threw at any time. I tried to see if I could wait and bring him to the vet monday, but this morning he was so much worse. I brought him to the emergency vet this morning. His kidneys have shut down and he needs surgery. They gave him a transfusion today and have been giving him antibotics and pain killers. They flushed out the absess, it looked very bad. Once they get the blood toxins down they will be able to do the surgery... but not where he is now, I have to take him from the emergency vet to the local vet tomorrow morning. The current bill, before he goes to the other vet for the surgery is so far $1096. It seems like as soon as you get caught up and start working on new things something happens to tear it all back down.
A bad storm went threw last night, the neighboring town had bad straight line winds. A friend of the girl that is living with us lost his 10 year old sister when the house collasped. The boy was next door babysiting 2 boys and had his sister with him. The girl staying with us is really torn up about it. No one can go into the town unless they live there, there is too much damage and too many people like poking around in damage.
There is just too much going on right now..

Well, I certainly understand y'all taking a little time to yourself, Lil Jo. I'm thinking there's plenty of asst. moderaters around here to take up the slack and it might actually give me a chance to do my job... or as close as I get to actually working, anyway.
I just wish they had a twitchy-eye emoticon for that bit about your cat's abdominal abcess. Nasty! Hope everything works out.
