Lan quickly whispered to Kane. "They are gonna find out sooner or later, and they can't hurt me or you." he said before lying there with Kane, looking up at Kyoshi. "Kane and I: We're in love.....what are heavens rules about that?"

With a strange look on his face as if he were tryying to force a smile, Kyoshi said, "That's not funny, you too. But...it's not like they can do anything. Kane's alreday a fallen angel, and you...well, there's nothing more they can do to punish you than what you already are. No offense," he said with his hands up, "but I do not envy your life or your body."
Kane merely held his breath and clung tightly to Lan, hoping that nothign would explode or such.

"Who's joking" Lan said as he stood up and looked with a little anger at Kyoshi. "And what do you mean 'what you already are'?" he asked with a little aggrivation showing.

As Lan confronted Kyoshi, Kane started to cry. He was afraid. He was afraid for Lan and for himself and even for Kyoshi. Kane did not want Lan and Kyoshi to fight, nor did he want either of them to be put in a situatuion where they would have to lie or do somethign aginst their morals. Kane could not think of what to say, and merely sat there on his knees, sobbing into his hands.

Lan heard Kane start to cry so he immediatly backed off and went down to Kane. "I-Im sorry Kane, please don't cry. I won't fight with him" Lan said with soothing words as he held Kane's shoulders. He gently pulled away Kane's hands from his face and he brushed a thumb under his eye, clearing away a tear. He gave Kane a brief kiss. "I won't fight your cousin"

"N-no," Kane tried to tell him, "I'm just afraid. Please," he said softly as hugged Lan. "Why do bad things keep happening?" Kane thought that they seemed to be cursed. Just as their lives finally seemed to be fine, his cousin had come and a conflict of morals had created a war. Over Lan's hsoulder, Kane asked his cousin, "Kyoshi, you won't tell on us, will you?"
Kyoshi looked at the two blankly as he though, 'Hmm...well, he is family. And they really don't seem to be hurting anyone. And as soon as Kane cried, that cat dropped everything so that he could comfort him. Maybe this is not such a sin after all...' "Alright," he said with a smile. "You two seem to be genuinely dedicated to each other, so I will not tell on you," he finished with a satisfied nod.

"Tell on us for doing what?" Lan asked innocently. He turned his head, still holding Kane so that he was looking at Kyoshi. "Did we do something bad?"

"I'm afraid you have," Kyoshi said with a sigh. "According to the Seraph you have commited a sin by loving someone of your same gender. Also, neither of you are adults yet so you aren't even supposed to have a lover."
Kane held onto Lan. He felt safer now that he was in his warm arms.

Lan held Kane close and rested his head on his shoulder. "But how can love be a sin?" He asked completely confused. "One sec" he said as he shifted a bit and he extended his wings out and wrapped them around Kane. It was seen now that a bright red streak ran down each of his wings.

"I'm not sure myself," Kyoshi defended, "but if the Seraph says it's so then...it's so." Kyoshi knew that no one ever questioned the Seraph without consequence, but he figured that it was alright with these two seeing as they were not from Heaven in the first place. "Anyway, I have no authority to do anything about it, so you two are fine."
Kane hugged Lan and said, "Thank you Kyoshi. Now, why don't we all go out somewhere and have some fun?"

"Im a little confused but thanks" said Lan as he helped up Kane. As they walked out the door, he gave Kyoshi a peck on the cheek. "Thanks" he said as he nuzzled around Kane. "Don't worry I'm still your kitty" Lan said as he brushed his feathers along Kane's arm.

Kyoshi fell over and twitched. "Gah!!! Rape! I'm not a virgin anymore! Noooooo!!!!"
"Lan," Kane said with a sigh, "did you have to do that?" Grabbing Kyoshi by the shoulders, Kane said, "Stop freaking out. You're fine. You're still a virgin."

Lan gave a little grin and said "I was just messing with him." he turned to Kyoshi. "Sorry Kyoshi. You gonna be okay?" he asked as he held Kane.

Finally calming down, Kyoshi said, "As long as you don't do anything like that again, then I'll be fine!" After getting that out of his sustem, Kyoshi quickly cooled down. "So," he said with a somewhat forced smile, "Where were we going again?"

Lan looked at Kane questioningly. "Where should we take him?" he asked as he gently squeezed Kane's hand. Leaning in, Lan gave Kane a peck on the cheek so that he could whisper "Someplace that won't take his 'virginity' away." he said with a giggle.
