It was grade 5 and my bud told me about the song "Blood", I listened to it a couple times and then I didn't really listen to it again.
About half a year later (In march of grade 6), I heard "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)" and I got a little hooked, and over time, I got more and more obsessed.

I had heard their name before I began college, but I blew it off. Then, when I was looking for a buddy icon for AIM and I say a whole lot of Gerard Way when I clicked on the Music link.
I thought "Who the hell is this guy!" because there were almost 3 pages of them. So I looked up his name and "My Chemical Romance" showed up again.
I finally decided to listen to a couple songs like I'm Not Okay and Helena and I got hooked on Disenchanted- my fave song off of Black Parade.

I saw an ad on TV for The Black Parade and was intrigued by the name "My Chemical Romance". That was at the end of 2006 but I didn't start listening to them until 2007 when my friend made up a mix CD for me with "Welcome to the Black Parade" and "I Don't Love You" but I never really got into it until this April when I started really getting into the band and then it kind of ... stuck like glue. An awesome glue that makes the best music ever...

At the beginning of the year, My sister, she wanted to show me this "really funny video" so I watched it...the "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)" vid. I was like, "Hey, this music isn't bad" and she put a couple of their songs on my Ipod. I had "Dead!", "I'm Not Okay", "Teenagers", and "Astro Zombies". I picked Dead! Because it sounded cool, Not Okay because I liked the video, Teenagers because I heard it when it first came out, but hadnt heard it since, and Astro Zombies because it was on my favorite Tony Hawk game. I listened to those four songs nonstop, and only those four. Nothing else got in the way. I loved Not Okay because it reminded me alot about my life, and I was suprised how well the band comprehened my emotions. Eventually I had my sister load my Ipot with all of the songs she had of theirs. I listend to the black parade over and over, then discovered Revenge. That album was uh-may-zing. I loved it, and eventually turned to bullets. Bullets took a few listenings to finally get past the crappy studio quality and hear the message. Now, I wait for the new album. Hopefully by the time it comes out I will be able to add it to my Ipod (it's been acting funny on itunes). I don't really listen to much besides MCR, I'm addictive. They've said anything I've ever wanted to say, so I don't really need any other music. They've sort of spoiled me, hah.

I saw the video to 'I'm Not Okay' on Kerrang! one day, back in 2004/5ish and I instantly bought their 'Revenge album, I listened to it once, didn't like it much, (I wasn't much into rock music back then), put it away for three weeks, listened to it again, and fell in love with their music, which led me to buy 'Bullets'.
I've been a HUGE fan ever since 3nodding

I was walking through Hastings one day and saw there "The Black Parade" album and thought it looked cool. I bought it without hearing a single song by them, and fell in love with their music. I went out and bought the "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge" album, but still have yet to find their first album.

Well, I was bored and I had the name of a song that my friend had told me about "Helena" floating around in my head. So I decided to look it up. And I did, and I liked the song. So, I went to my cousin (who always gives excellent musical advice) and I asked him if he knew about this band. He laughed at me and and was shocked that I liked them and that they had gotten big (he used to go to all of their concerts and hang out with them when they were still small). He gave me their three CD's and since then I was hooked. He also gave me some sweet memerobelia but that's another story x3
