Shun

"We care and act as we see fit, to show our careless wit."
User Image
Shun frowned as Fuki told him to stop then sighed as he nodded. "Alright, alright, alright. No more pouting." He said as he gave his usual grin. Though the hug from Fuki was a surprise, Shun tried not to blush as he laughed wiht her, a bit with nervousness and he watched Kichi and Ururu sit down and listened as Fuki hassled the lovebirds and Kichi answered a question to the teacher. "Named team?" He asked as he looked at Fuki and tilted his head. "Ummm Fuki? Why is it a named team is more powerful than a non-Named team?" Shun asked as he tried to figure out why that was. He had so much to learn...Would he be able to learn it all before a battle?

Kino Ketsuna

"We fall into slumber but are never graced with dreamed filled nights"
User Image
Kino nodded his head as he looked at Maki for a full minute then back at Aya. "She does...Maybe its just her looks." Kino suggested as he vaguely listened to the teacher and Kichi but none the less paid attention in case a question and pointed to him. "I wonder how she and Saito are like in battle?" He asked, mostly to himself as he wondered if they were strong. If they were, he wouldn't mind testing their strength with Aya. It would be half fun and half serious...Cause if he messed up, Aya would get hurt. And Kino knew he wouldn't be able to live with himself if that happened.

CARELESS
"We Care and act as we see fit, to show our careless wit."
Fuki smiled noticing how Shun wasn't trying to blush. She smiled grinning. At the question she thought for a moment. She grabbed Shun's hand placing it where her mark, her name, their name was. She placed her hand on the same mark that was the base of his neck. "Were a named team. We are 'careless'. Its what binds us together. We are each others significant other you could say. I'm that good at explaining." she said. "Were strong than a non-named team because we have a bond they don't. While a non-named team does have a bond it isn't as strong as ours and more easily broken." she said thinking about. "Does that make sense by any chance?" she asked making herself slightly confused.

DREAMLESS
"We fall into slumber but are never graced with dreamed filled nights"

"That and maybe she really only graduated here about roughly three years ago." he said watching his sister as he too listened to the class, as well as listen to Fuki and Shun. Aya glanced a Kino a tiny smile gracing his lips. "Heh, complete personality change. Almost like Fuki when she;s truly pissed or actually serious about a fight or match." he said a slight cold shiver running down his spine. Both his sisters are scary beyond belief when pushed far enough.

Shifting slightly in her chair, Hisa angled a glance at the Endless and Sleepless teams as Rauko welcomed them back. Verikai didn’t seem to like Maki all that much either. Hisa wondered how the female teacher had rubbed him wrong, but quit contemplating it as soon as Rauko began to teach class.

When he posed the question about Named and Unnamed teams, Hisa wasn’t too surprised to see Kichi raise his hand. She’d figured out after he’d shared his notes that even though he was shy, he knew his stuff. Listening carefully to his answer, Hisa felt herself freeze up again, the words ‘bonded’ and ‘one and only’ returning some of her earlier panic. Taking a deep breath, she tried to dispel most of it and succeeded although, she still felt shaky.

No end to sorrow, caused by the same endless f e a r s...

Saito stared around the crowd as he walked away towards the classroom with Verikai. There was so much that he wanted to ask him, so much that he wanted to know about the older boy. It seemed like Verikai had at least a faint idea of what his 'home' situation was like...yet he knew nothing about the other except that he seemed to come from some money. He wondered if he had any sibling? What about his parents? What did they do? How had he looked in his childhood? It was all very insignificant, yet it was things that mattered to him. He wanted to be able to ask him questions...yet he wasn't so sure that Verikai would answer him truthfully or openly. It was the one thing he was afraid of: ordering Verikai to do something that he didn't want to. Besides, he was still so new to this new world of fighters and sacrifices. He had spent the bulk of his later years..believing that he was alone. Now to find that he had a bond with someone who was there to protect him? It was all too much. What was they're bond anyway? He hadn't really understood the idea of it. Were they friends? Allies who's sole purpose was to cooperate only to battle? He knew that he felt strongly about the older boy...yet he wasn't sure what this emotion was. It was all so new to him...

He stared as Verikai nodded, chuckling as he said teasingly,"I don't care whether it's allowed or not. I need a smoke so I am going to take one." Saito grumbled as his hair was ruffled in the same place that Maki had messed with earlier, pouting as he mumbled, "You shouldn't smoke...it's bad for you."

It was a few seconds later when the two reached the classroom. He was happy that Verikai at least put out the cigarette before they entered....yet he was surprised, when Verikai kicked open the door. Bowing heavily, Saito said clearly, "I'm really sorry that we're late Sensei. It's my fault, since I was released from the hospital later than expected...and needed time to change."

"Welcome Verikai and Saito." the man smiled towards them, giving them the hint to take their seats. Saito gave a sigh of relief, happy that they wern't in trouble. He had started to look around the room...but didn't get 5 seconds, until he was dragged across the room by Verikai. What made it even worse was the fact that Verikai sat down in his seat, while forcing him to sit down too...on his lap.

"V...V-Verikai!" Saito stuttered fiercely in shock, a deep crimson blush cropping onto his face. They were in class....this wasn't allowed. Besides...he was embarrassed.

It was quick, as Saito jumped off his lap and quickly took his real seat in the desk in front of him. He sat, his body fidgeting as he started pulling out his notebook, embarrassed. Part of him hoped that no one had saw...yet the other part of him felt guilty. He hoped Verikai wouldn't think anything of it.

Now that he had a chance to look around the room, Saito was surprised to see alot of new faces. There was a new girl posted at the front of the room. He noted that she seemed bored and somewhat upset. Maybe he would go talk to her later?

He also saw that there were two other boys and another girl sitting around Fuki and Aya. He would definantly need to be acquainted with them.

As he gave a quick wave towards the twins, he turned his attention onto Ururu and Kichi who sat a few seats down from both him and Verikai. He waved towards the two, and turned back round just as Ururu gave him a quick grin.

Next, there was a pair of boys directly in front of him, one with deep violent eyes which looked laddened with some kind of emotion which he couldn't describe...yet he knew that it wasn't good. The one next to him seem kind of spaced out...as if there was something wrong with him. Maybe he was just making rude assumptions?

Rauko Sensei began to speak, cutting off his train of though, as he asked the class in general a question. Saito knew the answer seeing as he had been able to study at least a little this morning while waiting for Verikai. He raised his hand to speak, when he heard Kichi voice the answer. He sighed lowering his hand as he propped his chin onto his elbow, listening to the lecture. It wasn't that he was bored or anything...but he really was somewhat excited for the battles to start. He noticed that the desks in the middle of the room had been cleared out and replaced with a platform. Would this be where they fought? Where he and Verikai would have their first battle together? As...Endless?

Saito slowly turned around, trying to catch a glimpse of Verikai, wondering what the older one was thinking.

When Saito leaped from his lap he looked rather miserable. Hurt slightly. He looked towards his table and his heart ached slightly. He had been alone most of his life and Saito was his first chance at something personal. He looked towards the teacher as he asked about the ties between the named and the nameless. He knew the main difference was when they were linked by the chain the sacrifice took the fighters pain. He never wanted Saito to deal with that. He didn't raise his hand though he had no interest in participating in this class conversation. He pulled out another cigarette and lit it. Placing it to his lips he inhaled and puffed the smoke before he pulled the cigarette from his lips and a small cloud of smoke seeped out. He looked out the window as his eyes moved around the class room. He just wanted the fights to start. Placing his cigarette to his lips again and inhaled heavily and exhaled the smoke from his nose. He was mad, but why he was made was escaping him. There wasn't something in particular that he was irritated about but he just felt more alone then he expected he did.

Looking around the room again a grimace slipped onto his face. He was surrounded by girls...He looked uncomfortable and irritated as he placed the cigarette to his lips again once more. Pushing himself up he walked towards the window and leaned back down the sill. He flicked his cigarette as he continued listening to the teacher ramble on about things he knew about already. He'd been trained before he came here. He placed the cancer stick to his lips once more as he inhaled the end flickering slightly as he exhaled out his nose. He had a feeling he would give himself a nose bleed one day. He looked towards Saito once more as the boy caught his eyes. He didn't smirk or anything he was still hurt that Saito didn't want to sit on his lap. He was being a wuss but he needed the contact in order to feel complete. When Kichi finished his answer Verikai decided to care.

Raising his hand in the air he exhaled once more and looked towards the teacher, "The chain also transfers the damage from the Fighter to the sacrifice allowing the fighter to be stronger and last longer in the battle. Without the chain the fighter takes all the damage." Verikai's voice was bored almost as he looked out the window once more and finished off the cigarette and flicked it out the window. He smoked a pack a week normally, sometimes on bad days he would smoke a half a pack but never more then that. Sure it was smoking in moderation but not much moderation. If Saito asked him to quit he would, but till that day he would continue to smoke.

After his response he droned out the rest of the class. No one was catching his attention. Saito of course was his first but the boy didn't want his attention so he wouldn't get it until the fight.

Kichi immediately raised his hand. He knew the answer the that question. "It's because Named teams are bonded, which means that they are the 'one and only' of their team. If you're not a Named team, you can still be good, but your power is only half of what it would be if they were a Named team." He answered, smiling.

Kichi blushed and smiled at the pat, wanting to purr a little at how it felt. As his chin was taken in his hand, he smiled and looked at him, unknowingly looking positively adorable. "Thanks." He said happily, overjoyed that he'd been congratulated. He was continually filled with happiness whenever Ururu complimented him or recognized an achievement. He rested his cheek against the palm of his hand and lightly nuzzled it, blushing some.

Shun tilted his head as Fuki placed his hand on their name and vice versa. Shun nodded at her explanation and tried to piece everything together in his head. "So a named-team has a bond while the non-named team bind is weak." He repeated. It was a bit overwhelming but Shun was getting it. He would get all of it evertually. "Yes. It makes sense. When you are bonded. You have a strong bond but when your not, you have a weak bond." He recited then grinned. "Got iy down. Now another question." He confessed for he was slightly confused about this part. "What exactly is a non-named team? And how is it formed? Do the people in the non-named team have a person with their name out there?"

Kino looked at Aya when he described how Maki would be in battle then shook his head, a glimpse of a tiny smile gracing his cream-colored lips before his face went back to netruality. "Well thats one thing they have in common then. I'll make sure never to anger her in battle." He said playfully as he chuckled lightly thnen laid his heas on the desk as he looked at the board with a distant look on his face. Battle...Kino knew it was going to happen soon...But how soon? A day? An hour? Maybe this very minute? He wasn't sure...all he knew he would have to be ready. But the question is: Is he ready?

Saito sat in his seat, contemplating on what he should do. He knew that there was possibly no way in hell that Verikai wasn't upset with him...and deep down...he felt a little ashamed at himself too. It was all so confusing. Shouldn't he be more ashamed at being embarrassed in front of the class, rather than pushing Verikai away? Even as the words, crossed his mind, Saito knew the answer.

No....it wasn't right. He had been in the wrong.

Verikai had tried to reach out to him...had tried to connect with him, and yet he had pushed him away. What kind of a Sacrifice was he? It seemed like every time he tried to become useful to Verikai, he seemed to always end up hurting him one way or another. He needed some way to make everything right again...some way to apologize.

Saito's ears perked up as he heard Verikai's voice, answering the Sensei's question. He had never really thought about the actual battle. He really didn't like the idea of Verikai being hurt for his sake...yet he would bear with it. Endless would be strong enough...to the point where he wouldn't have to worry about Verikai being hurt. He would protect him in his own way...

He wasn't so sure about standing up in class...seeing as the lecture had/i] started..but maybe he could get away with the whole 'I'm not feeling well and I need fresh air' excuse if he was asked for a reason as to why he was up? Yeah...that seemed okay. Saito quickly stood up and quietly made his way to where Verikai was standing, leaned back onto the window sill. His mind was blank as he looked at his fighter; He wasn't use to this type of thing so he wasn't sure what to do or how to go about apologizing. He could only hope that Verikai would accept anything he did.

"...I....I'm sorry...." Saito mumbled staring down at the ground as his ears lowered, making him look much more pitiful. "I'm not used to this...though that no excuse I guess..." He was sure Verikai wouldn't understand...but he didn't expect him to. The idea that he wasn't alone...that he had an ally...was hard to wrap his mind around. It would take some getting used to.

⋙OOC: I'll come up with a post for Kichi once I get out of class @_@ lol.

Mulling over Verikai’s statement, Hisa’s nervousness subsided completely. As she considered the implications of the fighter-sacrifice relationship in a battle, her mind returned to the question Rauko had asked her at the beginning of class. Still unsure of whether she was a sacrifice or a fighter, Hisa wondered, ‘which one, am I?

A fighter,’ was the answer that came to her first as she recalled her frequent fights behind the gaming lounge. ‘Because a fighter is strong,’ Hisa reasoned, ‘because a fighter is someone who survives.’ ‘But you really aren’t strong,’ her mind pointed out, ‘you are weak. A strong person would never try to take their own life.’ ‘Shut up!’ Hisa screamed at herself, ‘Shut up! Shut up!’ ‘You are a sacrifice,’ her conscience persisted, ignoring her protests, ‘Relentless to survive, but longing to be protected.

Stunned into silence, Hisa closed her eyes briefly. It was the truth, a truth she didn’t want to accept. She was initially, just like her mother, weak and willing to take the easy way out. But no, she was way worse. She hadn’t even succeeded in ending her own life. After deciding to die, Hisa had found she couldn’t give up. Even though she loathed living so strongly, her desire to live was stronger. ‘Relentlessly selfish,’ Hisa accused herself as she so often did, ‘Traitorous.’ Her hate ran deep.

Ururu smiled warmly as Kichi rested his cheek against the palm of his hand. nuzzling it. He knew that Kichi's home situation hadn't been the best one, since his parents treated him like trash. Because of that, Kichi had such a low self esteem of himself...believing that it was always his fault whenever something happened. He was so meek and quiet...a product of idiot parents. Couldn't they see the potential in him? Couldn't they see how happy he would make them..if they had just gave him a chance? Couldn't they see...all the love and loyalty that he possessed? They were idiots to give up on someone like him...though it was lucky for him. Because Kichi had been thrown away, he was able to swoop in and take him for himself. He was able to love and be loved by him. Was his line of thinking somewhat obsessive? Yes...he knew it better than anyone...which is why he would never voice them aloud. He would keep his deeper thoughts to himself.

After listening to Verikai's statement, Ururu looked around the room at the others to see what they were doing. Fuki, Aya, Shun and Kino were still in the back whispering to each other; The two boys in the front were still looking as pissy and wierd as before; The new girl in the front still looked bored and now...like she was having an internal battle with herself? That was strange...

He turned his head the other way, to see Verikai and Saito standing at the windowsill...Verikai looking pissy as usual. Ururu stared at the guy, his face against his palm, looking bored. Geez, the guy seriously needed to loosen up. He really didn't know how someone like Saito could ever like someone like him...but whatever. Wasn't like it was his business.

Sighing, he turned back towards Kichi and continued to lay his head on his desk. "Kiiiiiiicccchhhhiiiiii~I'm soooooo bored. Help me ease my boredom?" He pouted innocently. It was true...he was bored; And when that happened...it always raised his spirits to mess around with his cute little sacrifice.
