I was introduced to My Chemical Romance when I went through a depression. Things weren't looking good for me when I was depressed, but I heard "The Ghost of You" on the radio one day, and I thought it was the most hauntingly beautiful song ever. I started listening to their music, and I saw some interviews with them. They made me realize that self-harm is very very wrong, and they saved me from doing really stupid things. i have loved them ever since.

I was looking for music on the internet and I found their song thank you for the venom and then I listened to more of their music and now im obsessed... ^^ heart

My friend showed me the Helena video... I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT so i looked up thier other songs and now i can't get enough of thier music!!! biggrin rofl

Mine is probably really odd xD
I actually REALLY got into them after reading fanfiction about them!! Crazy?! I'm not even sure why I wanted to read the fanfic in the first place then, I couldn't even pronounce Gerard correctly at the time, haha.
The person had pictures of them up, you know, the really old ones with the old drummer and Frank has short hair?
It's kind of funny that I never listened to their music until I was finished with the fanfic. I was like, who are these people?! And so, found the Helena video... and seriously guys, wasn't it totally epic the first time you watched it?!?! I mean, it still it, but WOW it totally blew me away xD
BUT IT WASN'T THE FIRST TIME I SAW THEM =O
Earlier that year (pretty sure it was my birthday weekend) my best friend and I were watching music videos and just totally making fun of them xD (this one chick was like on a bed under a sheet singing the song xD??)
And then I'm Not Okay came on!! And we were totally interested and thought it was a real movie!! Haha. And then when Frank poked that girl in the eye... we were in love! Hahahahaha xD Not really, but we thought that was the most hilarious thing for a long time.
But yeah, got into their music, by the time the DVD came out and my best friend watched it we really became HUGE fans. Went to out first and second concert together. It's been an amazing fanness journey xD
LOVE THEM.

my brother listened to them like helena and ect.
and i started liking them cuz of him :3 and same thing for other bands xD like he got me into "the used" and "evanesence"(sp?)

I saw an FMAMV on YouTube with Welcome to the Black Parade. I found another one with Teenagers. I didn't really know who they were by, so I illegally downloaded those songs, and I passed by a copy of The Black Parade at Target on July 23rd, 2008. It was awesome because that was MCR Day. (I found that out just recently) So, yeah.... I've been a fan since them. And all I need is LotMS (and any future CD's) and my collection of MCR CD's shall be complete. : D

My friend told me about them after she got their cd for her birthday. When I heard one of their songs I fell in love. I believe the first song I heard from them was Cemetery Drive.

Yay story time!
-ahem-
One day while i was getting ready for school back in seventh grade I was watching MTV in the morning and they were showing videos. They had on "I'm not okay" and it caught my attention. I was like "Hmm, they are pretty kewls!" and the video was famazing xD I forgot to check who they were though, a couple of weeks later, or im not sure exactly how long, i saw the video for "Helena" and i was like "oh my god." I remembered they were the same ones from "I'm not okay" and I instantly fell in love with their music. I decided to do research online and BAM. Here I am 8D

It's a weird way, but kinda unique, in my opinion.
When the single "Welcome to The Black Parade" was released, I'd always hear it and see the video everywhere. I got pretty annoyed and hated them for that...
I regret saying that I hated them and that they're stupid, but then I finally calmed down.
I thought a few weeks later, "Hey, they don't sound THAT bad and I know there's gotta be at least one song that I like out of the others they have." So I checked them out and Youtube. The first video I saw completely, was Helena. I fell in love with that. I started listening to their others songs too. My sis bought their "Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge" album without thinking, so then after that, I fell in love with the whole CD. Next up was "Bullets" and then "TBD".
But I still love "Revenge". Favorite album, 'cause that's how I fell in love with their music.
Not only that, but it's beautiful in every single way,

my brother was singing teenagers a lot and i asked him what he was singing and he said it a song by my chemical romance and after that i have been a fan.

Okay 4 years ago.
My cousin called me early in the morning lol
And shes like "DUDE! CHECK OUT THIS BAND!"
So I did
And I was like "Hm.. This looks like a band Chris would listen to"
I was so wrong but it took me about 5 days? To like them
Ever since then. I loved them ^.^ Their the awesomest band ever! EVER! haha :]
For me their always my #1 favorite band. But, Im not someone who goes around like "HA! IM THEIR NUMBER ONE FAN!"
I hate being told that.
To me thats fan poserness -.- Sorry lol
