Natsuko squeezed my hand a bit. "...."
I smiled. "....... Let's go? To the river.."
"You mean by the bridge? There? Why?"
"Do ask..." I got up and giggled. " Just... RUN!"
Yuki followed us.
{HMPH!!} Hikaru screeched.
{GRAH!} Nana yelled.
"URASAI!!!!!!" Yuki yelled at them.
"Character Change!" I yelled.
Destinii waved her wand. I had mini angel wings come out of my back.
"CATCH ME IF YOU CAN NATSUKO!" I yelled.
"H-Hey! That's unfair!" He looked at Koko and Kazu. "I suppose, Kazu, you can fly, right?? Hahahah..."
"You really think can fly? I can jump from building to building..."
"Good enough!! CHARACTER CHANGE!! I'm not gonna let a girl beat me!"
He launched up into the air. And almost hit a building. "DANG IT!"
I suddenly remembered. (I wonder? What triggered myself into getting my Guardian Characters that day? There was nothing bizarre that happened the day before.)
Lucia and the others only looked at me. "........"
I grinned. (But I'm still happy.... These few days, have been the best.... But.. I finally know what to do.... To ensure everyone's happiness. This will all end... Tomorrow. I'll consider this day.... To be my last.)
Destinii heard my thoughts and gasped. But I only looked at her. I had a plan, My look said, "don't worry, it'll all work out in the end. I promise."
She nodded. We all had to take sacrifices once in a while.
My character change wore off and I landed into the river with tears strolling down my eyes. But I still wanted to smile.
Natsuko finally arrived. "Phew... You're fast."
"Aren't I?" I giggled. "Now let's play, like there's no tomorrow!" Tears streamed out of my eyes.
"Heh. Alright!" He picked my up like a Princess. "Just tell me you're wish. What do you want."
I gasped. "........ For you to be with me forever."
He kissed me. "Promise."
(That promise won't ever come true, but I can't ever stop wishing, right?)
I kicked up the water beneath me, "Take that!"
"WHOA! YOU WET MY PANTS!"
"You're accusing me? You just couldn't hold it in anymore!"
"H-Hey! If that's how it is...." He grabbed my hand. then drove me into the water.
Under the water, our hair was only flowing.... We looked at each other. I felt like laughing and crying at the same time.
I went back up and started spinning. I took off my shoes and just fell backwards. Looking at the sun set. I sighed.
"You tired?"
I wanted to play for the whole day. Without stopping, I wanted to love a long life. But I just can't think that anymore!!! If everyone's lives depend on mine, then I'll just gladly give it up.
"Nah. I'm fine!" I tackled him in the water.
We played until we were exhausted. And eventually went back home.
I sprawled on my bed. ".........................................." I was making a letter. Just like Anju had done.
Dear Everyone,
"I went through so many things... Meeting people who would teach me how to be more brave, and the days were fun too! But today is the last day. After this, you won't see me anymore, I'll make sure of it. Don't look for me, don't even remember my face. But I love all of you. Yuki and Anju. But it looks like our time has come to end.

I entered the doors. And there was Yoshiro, as expected.
"So, you finally decided......"
I held out Destinii's egg. "Yeah. I give up. You win."
"Wise, choice." He snatched Destinii's egg from me.
"EKK!" She clattered inside.
"So this is the real thing, huh.... So, ready to serve me?"
"Yeah." I answered.
"Hmmmm............. Alright, Let's get started."
He took Lucia, Marinami and Glory's egg with him.
"Don't try and be sneaky."
"......................................................................" I waited for what would happen next. Thing's started pooping in my head.
(What if they all rush after me? What if they didn't? What if I made the biggest mistake in my life? What if I needed their help and they didn't come? What if Natsuko rushed after me and got caught? What if my plan fails and I just put their lives into danger even more?) I started panicking.
".........................." He gave me clothes to change in. "You can't just go and kill people in your pajamas."
I took the clothes and went into the bathroom.

I finally came out, looking at the ground.
"That's better. So then..... Hmm..... What should happen next, so many things. The destruction of the Royal Garden... Murdering......" he laughed.
I looked down in terror. (........... What do I do now...? I'm scared... but the plan has to go on!! I- I can't give in..... Not just yet..!!) I clenched my fists.
He threw Lucia egg in the air.
"Ah..!!" But I shut my mouth. (I'm sorry, Lucia....!!!!) Tears strolled down my eyes but I wiped them away.

I stayed slient.
"BUT...... I can wait so I won't put so much effort into this..." He walked into one room. "You'd better stay there or else Lucia gets it."
I kept my feet glued to the ground.
He pulled out another guy, half asleep.
"!!!!!!!!!!" My eyes bugged out. I had almost forgotten.
"This guy will watch over you."
"Who, what..?" He wiped his eyes.
"R-R-Reo.......!!" I stopped breathing for a moment.
"..? Memorii...? .......MEMORII?!" he screamed.
I was speechless.
"I'll leave you two lovebirds alone for now...." Yoshiro left the room.
I turned away. (It's... I don't want to look at him.... But...)
I still had the charm Bracelet he gave me, I've never taken it off. But it was under my huge sleeves. |
