Shou noticed Naoko's discomfort and the way that Katsumi zeroed in on their 'status'. The young man was way too curious for his own good. "Naoko-kun is welcome to come home with me....or party further with the crowd. If he thinks it will be fun." Shou left Naoko the ability to choose as he would, however, he wouldn't have Katsumi pigeon hole Naoko into doing something else just to get him to prove that there was nothing going on between them.

"You're just too curious about my personal status, Katsumi-san. I should be asking you who the lucky one is that you're spending the New Years with tonight. You should have brought your 'friend' to the party." Shou refocused the topic on Katsumi again away from Naoko.

Izo chuckled and let the banter go back and forth. "Well, if you do decide you want to go to an afters party, there is a coordinator at the Smash party that has a list of several parties and their themes. There will even be cars that will drive people to those parties to avoid any drinking and driving. Of course I suggest if you go to one of those offsite parties to take an escort for security." He didn't push the Pit party especially with Shou in the car. But, anything could be arranged if...the young man got decided to go.

"Really?! I might have to look at the list." Shou said with a brilliant smile.

And that was exactly the person Izo didn't want at the Pit! He'd make sure Shou never got offered that party option.

Sai would've said no... that Naoko had to come home with him.

"Then... I'll have to see what's available afterwards." the pianist spoke with a half smile, worried about being away from the peacock in public when Izo was about.
He had a right to be worried...

Azriel smirked, "Mmmm I'm curious as a kitten sometimes it seems... Or so I've been told. But... my special someone would probably balk at the idea of their name being released so... I have to keep it very hush hush." Katsu teased, putting a finger to his lips in a 'shhh' sort of motion. "They wanted to come to the party but I'm afraid they had obligations elsewhere for a time. Thus, why you get the pleasure of my 'depressing' company for dinner." the bat winked playfully.

Naoko should have been more worried about himself than Shou. Because the spider wouldn't harm such a profitable asset. However, Izo wanted to know more about Ko...and his talents. So maybe there was a bit to worry about. Eventually, the old spider was certain he'd gain the information.

"Balk? Really? Well, I guess I could see that considering you're position on stage. Might be a turn off for the fans who thought they might have a chance to claim a prize." Shou mused and then realized it had been a long time since he had done anything like that. Taking someone that captured his eyes backstage. Ah..those were the days. Too much other crap had gone through his life recently. Those days he thought he might just stick to one man. He rolled his eyes thinking about those days. Fun...but....they ended quite badly.

"Oh so that's why you're so...depressed." added Shou as he leaned back in his chair. "I'm surprised you're off the market so quickly." he teased back with a bemused smile.

That was when Katsumi's phone buzzed with a text from Hiroki. A picture of him with a Champagne glass at the party. You look incredible, Katsu. I wish I was there. But as I drink this Champagne I am thinking about you. Oh yes, look! I think you'd like these. I love you. Down in the corner of the photo, Hiroki's finger pointed to chocolate covered cherries that looked very familiar. They were probably from that very bakery that Katsu had gone with Kaito.

Not long after the message the car halted at a very expensive Italian restaurant. The driver let them out and the wait staff was completely at their beck and call guiding them to a table. The scenery was completely festive with hot bread and cool butter awaiting them as they sat down.

"Never said I was off the market..." Azriel winked, though he didn't elaborate.
It was true, pretty much.
Hiroki was his pet.
That didn't mean the bat was a one-man sort of guy.

His phone distracted him for a few seconds though and he checked the message. A part of Katsu thought it was cute. Another part... a deeper part... was still so very angry.
Because Hiroki knew...
He KNEW that Hiroki knew...
Pocketing the phone, the bat's attention returned to the two men on the other side of the limo. "I fear you'll have to come up with another reason as to why I seem so 'depressing'." Katsu teased as the limo stopped at the door to the restaurant.

They were out quickly and comfortable at the table within no time. Naoko felt his stomach growl, realizing that the slightly sweet hot chai had actually made him hungry earlier... plus all he'd eaten was a couple pieces of chicken since the pizza for lunch the day before.
Azriel noticed the growl and smirked the pianist's way. "Is Shou-san not feeding you?" he asked.
But Naoko laughed, nodding his head the bat's way. "You're not one to talk." he spoke.
Which was true... Katsumi was skinner than Naoko even.

"Ah...is that so?" Shou laughed and then realized that Katsumi's special person was probably some one night stand that didn't know better. As it probably should be. What star could afford having a real companion anyhow?

"Maybe it's just your music then. You should lighten it up every once in awhile." Shou said as he sat down at the table ordering a Italian coffee before dinner.

Shou's head turned from one side of the conversation to the other as the two talked about food and size. Naoko was right Katsumi was a WAIF! But he wasn't going to get in the middle of that. Shou knew better. "So...I think I'll have...Oh...they've chai! One of those please." he called out to the waitress.

Izo ordered a drink and then a few appetizers for the table. "Both of you are too skinny. So you better eat everything in front of you tonight." Izo however didn't stay out of the conversation because what he said was true.

Shou peered at the menu and avoided this part of the conversation completely.

"Mmmm I have been thinking about a few lighter songs." Katsu spoke, lithe fingers taking a piece of bread and picking off a bit of it, snacking on that before the appetizers arrived. "I just don't have the music for it yet. Mmmm" the bat giggled slightly, winking at Naoko. "Touche. I'm very skinny! I have fans that think I need an a** and some abs."
At this, Naoko smiled, laughing as well. "You're not the only one." he spoke up, grabbing a piece of bread himself.

Azriel ordered an Italian Cream Soda, vanilla flavored, while Naoko ordered a Pepsi Next, wanting something sweeter than the hot chai from earlier.

Dark eyes flickered to Izo and the bat smirked, "I've a healthy appetite thank you. Especially for sweets. Why I don't gain weight is a mystery."
"I like sweets too." Naoko replied with another smile, feeling oddly relaxed with the conversation for once. "I thought about designing a kimono that looked like a collage of old time candy wrappers..."
This caught Katsu's interest. "You should design one with chocolate covered cherries... I'd buy that." he said with a wink.

Shou wondered how the heck this conversation got so cheery but the two skinny guys were having a good conversation about being skinny! Of all things!

As soon a his coffee arrived he stared at it for a moment. Why in the world did he order coffee. He really didn't like the stuff in the first place! But then, he peered at the contents. It sort of smelled different and looked even more different than he expected of coffee. This wasn't traditional coffee at all!

Izo's brow furrowed as he watched his star tilting his head and looking at the side of the clear glass staring at the cream top. "Shou-san...is everything Ok?"

Shou took his finger and dipped it into the cream on top just like a little kid not quite hearing Izo's remark. Then stuck the cream covered finger in his mouth much like a kid.

Izo blinked. His star was crazy. "Shouuuu-san...it won't bite you. You can drink that, you know."

Shou glanced up finally hearing Izo's words. "But what is that?" he questioned as he pulled the drink to his lips finally. "This isn't normal coffee...."

Izo sighed and rolled his eyes, "It's a Bicerin. Consisting of dense hot cocoa, espresso and cream, artfully layered in a small glass. Does that help?"

The star sucked in the drink leaving a small ring of whipped cream upon his lips. "YES!"

Izo burst into laughter at the sight unable to take Shou seriously at this moment.

Both Naoko and Azriel were staring at Shou as if he were crazy.
Then Izo laughed...
Katsumi giggled...
And the pianist just raised an eyebrow in confusion.
Course to him, this wasn't exactly funny because this was how Shou tended to be normally... He was kind of used to it.
"Shou-san, you act like me when I try something new for the first time." Azriel laughed again, the sound higher pitched than one might think his laugh to be. Katsu was totally amused... then he sipped his own drink and dark eyes went wide.
"Oh my god... this is delicious!"
Now the amber eyes of Naoko were on the bat. Had both of the men gone nuts?!

Izo couldn't stop his laughter because looking at Shou's cream covered lips and now seeing Katsumi all wide eyed and giggly this had to be the most light hearted thing the spider had seen in years.

"Napkin...Shou-san please use a napkin." Izo said between chuckles as he pushed the folded napkin toward the star.

Shou seemed utterly confused by Izo's request but picked it up and then looked over at Naoko and then at Azriel who had been starting. "Isn't it good!?" Shou smiled as he finally wiped his lips and then realized his lips were covered with cream. "Oh!" Totally clueless!

The waiter came back and put several appetizers in the center of the table. Fried Calamari, Stuffed Eggplant, Fried Ravioli, and Prosciutto with fresh melons.

Izo reached over and pulled the stuffed eggplant to him and put a small portion of it on his plate. It had layers of cheese and sauce within a fried eggplant. He prayed that the boys wouldn't be covered with sauce, cheese or anything else. "I wonder if I should have asked for bibs...." he muttered amused.

"I'd never had an Italian Cream Soda before..." Azriel spoke up, unable to let go of the straw.
It was just so good... sweet and creamy and rich...
Naoko was sipping at his Pepsi Next by now, wondering if both vocalists had gone mad...
Dark eyes fell on the appetizers and for a moment, Katsumi didn't know what to pick... he'd had Calamari before because it was one of Izo's favorite things to order pre-meal... but the Eggplant was something he didn't have much experience with so he used a fork to spear a couple of those onto his plate first.
"Mmmm... I love trying new things..." Azriel smiled, taking a bite of the stuffed eggplant. It was pretty good. "Seriously a great perk of being a rockstar." he added with a wink.

Shou finished his Bicirin because it wasn't very large and then stared at Katsumi as he sucked in that sweet soda. "Waiter...I want one...."

Izo rolled his eyes as he ate some of the eggplant. "An Italian cream soda please." Sometimes his stars devolved into utter children it seemed. Shou was a loon and Katsumi not far behind him. However, Katsumi had an excuse because he hadn't many of the finer things. But Shou? Now that man was a complete nut.

Finally Shou focused on the food. His fork found the melons and very thin succulent slices of prosciutto. "Oh...ooh...I've had this before. I love the salty meat with the sweet melons!"

Izo smirked because he knew that Shou liked that particular appetizer. Maybe it would distract the star long enough until the cream soda came back.

"YOU should TRY this!" Shou exclaimed putting some of the melon and prosciutto on Katsumi's plate.

Izo glanced over at Naoko because the young man was the most normal of the bunch right now. "Seems like you and I are the only adults left in this party."

Dark eyes narrowed in on it, "What is it?" Katsu asked, finding everything looked off together like that.
Melon wasn't something Azriel was familiar with... and meat with melon... well... that wasn't even on his radar.

Naoko sighed and looked over to Izo. "I think I've gotten used to it by now..." he replied, taking some fried calamari for himself. "It's like two kids at Shou-san's house... a big one and a little one... I feel really bad for Yamada-san when I'm not there. The other day... Shou-san tried to do his own laundry."

That caught Azriel's interest even as he poked at the prosciutto for a moment. "I've no idea how to do laundry. Other people do it for me." the bat spoke, thinking it normal.

"Yes well Shou-san doesn't either... nor how to cook." Naoko pointed out with a teasing grin toward the peacock.

But then Katsu laughed, "I can't cook either. Kaito-kun cooks or sometimes one of my bodyguards." he giggled, finally trying the appetizer.

Melon... was odd...

"It's a very lean ham...salty and spiced but perfect against the melon. You eat them together." Shou answered as he took a bite. "Mmm...heaven." His palette loved the two tastes side by side. They complemented each other nicely.

"I suppose that would be tough. Two kids in one house with very little supervision." Izo didn't even want to know how those days went. At least Shou's house was clean. But who cleaned it!?

"I can cook...pancakes...Ok well..part of the pancakes. I can make rice! And I can make sandwiches. And I can make...mm....well I can make other things. I don't live off of frozen dinner. At least, I've not set any thing on fire. And I can use a blender without putting the food on the ceiling." Shou pointed out without mentioning who the culprit was that had done that in the past.

"Mm..but laundry is another matter. I've too many things that cannot go into the washer and dryer. However, Ko can use the laundry very well." Shou never learned how to use the laundry until recently and still it was safer to let the boy do it. Shou sort of went crazy with the soap quantities.

The waiter came back to take everyone's order and pointed out all the specials. Izo ordered Veal Marsala. While Shou ended up ordering a split set of Mantaiko, Alfredo, and Manicotti. He wanted to try a variety of tastes. After he ordered he snagged some fried raviolis with the marinara sauce.

"So you can't cook or do laundry either? Then that means we've at least one thing in common." Shou said with a slight grin as he forked a ravioli and dipped it into the sauce. "Having someone to cook around is nice. Naoko-kun can cook thankfully. Mm...well Ko can too...so it does make things easier."

Izo thought it was very uncanny that these two should have that in common. Although he didn't know that Izzy also had the same problem as Shou and Katsumi. Even he knew how to cook...."Maybe cooking classes are in order for the two of you."

"Pancakes..." Azriel let that word sit with him for a second. He'd never had those before... and he wondered what they were.
Rice and sandwiches he understood perfectly well however.
Katsumi waved a hand at the cooking classes comment. "I'm too busy to learn that too. Besides, I'm too busy to cook... so it just stands to reason someone else does it." he said, munching on the melon and ham again.
It had an odd taste combo, but it wasn't bad.

For his part, Naoko ordered a grilled chicken salad, not wanting something heavy on his stomach. Katsu had no idea what to get so he simply picked out a seafood alfredo.
Why not learn what some of these things tasted like before Hiroki took him south...
If Hiroki took him south...
Again anger flared through the bat, but it didn't show as he sipped on his cream soda.

"And you're afraid of leaving Ko-kun home alone... he can look after himself better than you can, Shou-san." Naoko spoke with a smirk directed at the peacock.
But then Azriel shook his head, "Kids shouldn't be by themselves. They get lonely and I doubt the television is very good company."

Shou was amazed that Naoko would order just a salad for dinner. It was completely...wrong! But then the new soda came for Shou and his lips sucked in the straw. "Yummy."

But then he glanced up, "He's too young to be home alone even if he can do all those things better than I. And it's not so much a matter of being lonely, it's a matter of reasoning. Children learn by following what others do. But they don't always have the best problem solving skills if something does happen."

Izo didn't comment on that particular part. He wondered if he had the right to comment considering his own lack of parenting. But finally he did say, "Some parents don't have the best judgement skills either. And probably shouldn't be parents. Not saying that you aren't a good parent Shou-san."
This was more about himself than Shou even if Shou were a loon many days. Izo almost despised this topic because he couldn't change what he had done. He could only look to the future and deal with a son that wasn't healthy inside his head.

"Well..surely I might not be the best of choices considering my career. But other stars manage, so I am sure that somehow I'll do the same." Shou said with thoughtful smile.

"I suppose so but you're not married, and you've not found a nanny yet." Izo pointed out as he took a couple calamari and picked up one to pop in his mouth. Mm...it did taste good!

"Yes, well I'm working on that. Not the married part. God forbid. But eventually I might hire someone to help out after I get his schooling arranged. One step at a time." Shou gathered a few of the calamari to his plate and started to dip them into the sauce he had left over. "And...well television has it's place but Ko seems to be more interested in other things...like soccer and music."
