Call of Duty isn't that bad though! xp

Modern warfare´s thou...... meh, not so much. sad

I enjoyed the first one, haven't played its sequels (thankfully?)

Yeah, the 1st one was alright, the latters became more of the same and... boring? ^^"

Yeah, the original was the same thing (re-running WW2 anyone?),
but it has such grandness to it, it felt so huge and great that it
immersis me into the action, being actually part of the whole fight
and see all the things happening around me,
rather then running corridors and be all like "meh, my buddie died. move on..."
Besides, who doesn´t like to re-play the "Omaha Beach" mission? :3

I've only played Call of Duty 1, 2 and 4, having enjoyed all of them thoroughly. The first two did capture the feel of the conflict perfectly, especially the assault on Pegasus Bridge in the first game and the second game with its scaling of the cliffs of Point du Hoc, my goodness, that was a most stellar piece to play through, I had to wipe away a tear when they played the speech of president Reagan. The fourth game really pulled me in and didn't dare let me go until the final cutscene. I enjoyed playing as SAS operative Soap and when I was suddenly in control of the weapon systems of a Spooky.

I do notice that just about every Call of Duty game needs to have at least one invasion themed mission. The first game had the crossing of the Volga river. The second had you not only scale the cliffs of Point Du Hoc but also cross the Rhine river in Amtrac's. The fourth game has you invade a generic Arabic country.
