*despite Holly trying to warn, or more so threatening, Taus not to overdo it after their gig since they've got another the next day, he listens to himself more than anyone else. After they cut him off at IR, he and a few groupies wandered off to a nearby apartment, presumably belonging to one of them, and had a private party of their own. Sometime in the wee hours of the night, Taus announces to the mostly passed out crew that he's going to get more booze only to take a nasty fall down the stairs on his way out. Draa finds himself in control shortly after.... in an extreme amount of pain* stressed
Note to self: only get shitfaced in first floor apartments stressed
*he tries to move and look around to get his bearings, not only finding that doing so causes more pain, but that some of his limbs appear to be bent the wrong ******** great stressed
*he's left there for quite a while, as the neighbors were trying their best to ignore all the noise coming from that apartment through the night. In that time, Taus' unique biology kicks in and starts correcting itself... which Draa finds is just as unpleasant of an experience as leaving it broken if not more so stressed At this point he's really wishing he wasn't conscious for it and realizes that's probably why Taus isn't emotion_facepalm It isn't until sometime after sunrise that someone finally comes out and takes notice of him, but by then, his body was in good enough condition to move, albeit rather torturously. The well meaning neighbor helps him to his feet and offers to call an ambulance, but he waves the man of, insisting that he's fine, and stumbles out of the complex. Moving around was keeping the body from being able to fully heal and thus prolonging the process, but at least that meant Draa would be in control for longer, as he doubted Taus would take over before the process was complete*

{{This is kind of all over the place, so I put it in one post for my own convenience. }}*while wandering around yesterday and keeping his body from healing, he had a hard time figuring out just what to do as "himself" for a change. He thought about just lounging around the apartment for a while for old time's sake but apparently dame's apartment wasn't dame's apartment anymore, and the landlord was rather tight lipped about what happened to all his stuff. Given he didn't look himself, perhaps that shouldn't really be surprising.... not that the landlord had seen much of him in his normal state either, though stressed Seems he'll have to ask dame about it eventually.
He tried to pay Tes and Ry a visit to see if one of them might have a more permanent solution to his situation... more so Ry than Tes stare , but they weren't answering the door stressed Pounding harder to try to wake their asses up only draws the attention of security, who escort him off the premises.
At some point, he stops in at Lily's for a bite to eat and is starting to feel pretty tired. It's rather tempting to give in since it seems his life is so boring that there wasn't anything for him to do now that he's in control anyway stare ... but there is one thing that crosses his mind that he should probably check in on. He has some coffee to try to help keep him awake for a while longer, though it's hard to drink because he can't stand the taste of it, but at least it's easier to drink than hard liquor. After paying the bill, his next stop is AS.
As far as he knew, the time he saw Mir there while Taus was driving was just a chance meeting. He could stop by the apartment instead for a better chance at catching her, but considering he still looks like Taus right now, the likelihood of her letting him in is rather low. He wouldn't want Mir getting too comfortable with the idea of hanging out with Taus anyway. Instead, the plan is to simply ask around AS to see if anyone knows or is willing to tell him anything, checking in on her indirectly rather than directly.
Unfortunately, a lot of the people he tries to talk to aren't of much help. He learns that she's working there at the pet spa and that's about it since most offer to get her for him or direct him there when he asks about her rather than talk about her with him.
The most luck he has is when some teen approaches him after all his asking around and inquires if he's the father. The question is confusing at first since he was taking a break from trying to get information at the time, but when she specifies that it's in reference to Mir, he reluctantly answers 'sort of' sweatdrop
The teen tells him how she was working there over the summer and would see Mir around sometimes, mostly talking about herself and going off on long tangents the whole way through stressed But out of all the nonsense teen drama she was spewing at him, he gleaned at least some information about how Mir's been doing from it: keeping to herself, working long hours and full weeks, not telling anyone she was pregnant until recently because her due date's coming up, avoiding mentioning the father...
The teen suggests, like so many others, that he go and see her, but he refuses... saying the situation is rather complicated. He does however, ask the girl if she happens to know when Mir's shift ends. Not even that is a short answer stressed , but it seems there's some time yet before she'll be returning home.
He heads over to her apartment, improvising a lock pick with what he has on him since Taus got rid of his usual lock pick when he blocked him last time they were here. He figures he'll leave whatever valuables Taus has on him somewhere that she'll notice and then leave. However, when he gets in, he notices the livingroom has no furniture neutral All that's there is a pile of shoes by the door. He closes the door and wanders further in, seeing dishes stacked all over what little counter space the small kitchen had. Further in still, the first bedroom he comes across has a partially, and rather poorly, assembled crib, the other parts to it scattered all over the floor along with the instructions. There are two other boxes in the room propped against a wall, seemingly other furniture for the nursery, that hadn't been opened yet.
Knowing her due date was coming up and seeing the nursery wasn't anywhere near set up yet certainly wasn't a good sign at all.
In the next room, there's just a pallet of blankets on the floor with a few pillows and pandas on it. Beside it is an alarm clock and a framed picture. He shakes his head at the whole arrangement, suddenly feeling even more guilty than he already did about Mir's pregnancy.
He knew what happened between them, or technically Mir and Vass, wasn't right... that she wasn't thinking clearly and Vass had no clue just what he was doing. And maybe if he'd tried harder, he could have prevented it. If he can block Taus from picking locks, surely he could have had some influence in the other situation as well. But maybe it's because a part of him wanted it that it happened anyway. Perhaps that's why Taus was so fixated on Mir when he was trying to gain control. In his right mind, he wouldn't take advantage of her like that, but provided the right opportunity, he would have given in.... and in fact did. His influence on Vass would have carried just as much weight as Taus' if he'd tried harder to stop him. But when Mir whispered to him to take her.. there was no fighting it. For that brief moment, what he, Vass, and Taus wanted was all in sync and Taus ceased it to overpower the rest of them. As much as he wants to put all the blame on Taus for it, it's his own fault too.
Walking around the pallet, he kneels by the alarm clock and starts emptying his pockets and wallet of any cash and jewelry he has on him. As he's place it down, he notices just what picture she has there in the frame and scowls, turning it down onto the floor*
Idiot stressed
*cleaned out of all his money, he leaves the apartment, locking the door behind him, and wanders off to find more*

She was sitting in the luxurious seat of the private jet using an ipad when she remembered that she had forgot to text Hauk and let him know she wouldn't be around all weekend. gonk And, she couldn't text him from the air either, because the pilot forbade them to have their cell phones on. stressed At least there was wifi on the plane, so she "texted" him from her instant messenger. Kat's text to Hauk Hauk, just wanted to let you know I'll be gone all weekend on a business trip with Franco. Not sure when we'll be back, but I'll text you later after we land. Don't work too hard this weekend. Miss you, Kat She sighed and closed her IM and went back to sipping her drink and looked for a movie to watch. neutral

The trio had pulled up into the assigned parking lot of the festival. There was quite a crowd there despite the fact that it was a Sunday and Liada instantly dragged both Hauk and Anira by the elbows diving right into the fun. They decided to hold off the pumpkin patch until a little later since they would have to carry them to the car later. So until then they spent time looking through merchants on pottery wares and other interesting demos for a couple of hours.
Liada decided to spin off into her own time for a bit while Hauk and Anira went toward the Beer Garden to sample some of the fall ales. Once they got up to the bar and made their orders they both find a table and take a seat to people watch.

*Has had several beers. Even brought his own stein. You can't help but notice when a friggin "giant" sits at the table next to you. Jeeze…look at that freak of nature. eek He takes another drink of his beer and nods toward the couple at the next table.* Try the Oktoberfest. Good stuff. cool

Glancing over to the guy across from their table Hauk gives a nod and raises his bottle to him. Thanks, I'll be sure to try that one next.  Anira smiles her thanks at the gentleman and then she raises her eyebrow when she notices his features. Excuse me, you look familiar. Have you frequented the bar of Most Wanted or somewhere else? I cannot help but feel like I have met you before.

Enlightenment dawned on both the elf and viking at the name. Anira couldn't help but glance over at Hauk and see if he would jump up in his seat or otherwise. Trying to ease the slight tension she continued the conversation. Ah now I remember, Liada had mentioned about you and I know she was trying to get a hold of you. sweatdrop My name is Anira Tiernay, her assistant. This is Hauk Ulfr who works as a bartender for the club. I know Lia is walking about here so I should probably go see where she has run off to. Rising from her seat she patted Hauk's shoulder letting him know to take it easy. I will have the staff send over a couple pitchers for you boys if you want to kill time here for me. whee Giving a last wave and heads over to the bar leaving Hauk to stool a bit. stressed So you're part of the force eh? You guys do decent work, especially when we need to call you guys for backup at the club. He takes a swig of the last of his bottle trying to stay cool, his face blank with calm ease since he was sitting across from one of the men who broke Kat's heart way back.

I hear that place is jumping…lots of hawt babes. cool *He then realizes just who this is. Last time he saw Kat, she was bragging about some bartender dude she was seeing. He takes a huge drink of his beer and winks at the bar maid in the low-cut shirt who delivers the pitchers.* So…you must be the guy who's seeing Kat? She was talking about you way back. She get bored and dump you yet? Timing seems about right by now.

There are quite the selection of ladies there I will say that. Not like I've really been looking that hard when you got orders to fill. The bar maid smiles at the two of them as she passes and takes some empty glasses. Hauk merely gives her a nod and was thankful that another bar maid brings the pitchers Anira had ordered and filled a glass for himself. His eyelid twitches when Showcase asks the very question that has been hanging over his head for awhile and tries not to choke in mid-sip. stressed Yea that would be me. She's mentioned about you too. I'm sure you can guess the vision she's worked you into but again we all have our ways of parting when it comes to women. He takes another full swig and brings his other hand into a tight fist to not slug at the cop. What makes you say that she would be dumping me anytime soon?

You know…its ALL about her. You know you start to think you got something and then you find her sleeping with some other guy. Or you go to work and she's taking some midnight stroll along the lake with some dude you've never seen before. stressed

Thanking Showcase for the refill he was starting to feel a bit more at ease. At least he wasn't outright calling her some of the things that Kat had called him when she first talked about their relationship. He refrained from mentioning that as well. If the current boyfriend and the ex could avoid a fistfight then by all means please.  I will agree on the its gotta be all about her. I know she had dated one or two other guys between you and me but from what I know we've done our best not to cheat on the other through our round. He takes a long drag of his beer and waves at the barmaid to bring another pitcher. But we are all human one way or another, sometimes a soul is weak when it comes to the temptation of the flesh. I know one of my brothers was really bad about that.
