This is to be expected... Gunblade ain't exactly the most balanced...
it's so awkward if you ask me, with the barrel and handle that weigh the same if not more than the blade itself sweatdrop

No, the gunblade doesn't shoot anything. Pulling the trigger causes the blade to shudder violently, creating a vibrating motion similar to that of a chainsaw. So pulling the trigger right as you strike with it increases the damage that it can do, however it also makes it harder to control.
The gunblade I have doesn't do either of those, although you can pull the trigger.
