Kat and Hauk spent the day down in her quarters once she finally woke up. After making a late breakfast, they sat down in the living room and she told him everything that had occurred while she had been in Japan. She told him to just sit and listen until she was done and then he could rail at her all he liked. He nodded and then she began her tale:

Her former boss, Shigeru, had been missing ever since the earthquake had rocked Japan. There had been dissension in the ranks, and she had been contacted to come to try track him down. She hadn't wanted to go at first, telling her former colleagues that she had ended that part of her life, but then she had been reminded of Shigeru's instant acceptance of her due to Colum.

She had had an uneasy feeling once she had landed in Tokyo, and checked into a hotel to try and make some connections with old informants. It just seemed a little too easy for Shigeru to be missing due to the natural disaster, and she was going to do some research before meeting with the acting head of the family.

A few meetings and a lot of money later, she found out that the acting head had actually captured Shigeru and was holding him prisoner. She quietly made contact with some of her former colleagues and plans were made. She wanted to get this operation done as quickly as possible and as safely as possible. It was decided to go in under the cover of night and spirit Shigeru away.

She thanked her lucky stars that one of the men was a hacker, who was able to take care of the security system so that they could slip inside the building where Shigeru was being held. She told the team to disable the guards, and not kill them unless absolutely necessary. After awhile, they finally found the room where he was held and she slipped inside while the others kept on the lookout.

His eyes opened wide when she placed her hand over his mouth to keep him from crying out in surprise. Recognition dawned in his eyes, and she could see him visibly sag in relief. She made quick work of freeing him, and motioned for him to follow her.

Once they were safely out of the building, he told her the entire story of how he had been taken, and was furious when she told him what she had discovered about his so-called trusted second in command. They drove for a few hours until they came upon a small town and found a place to sleep for the night. She and Shigeru stayed up for a few hours, plotting how they would dispose of the traitor in the ranks.

The next day, the group quietly made their way back to Tokyo. It was later that night that they surprised the acting head of the family and outed him for the traitor he was. Kat watched impassively as he was taken away, and then turned to Shigeru, thanking him profusely for all he had done for her, but that she had found a new life back in Geezerville. He smiled at her and bowed deeply, before standing and looking at her in the eye, thanking her for helping him and let her know that she could call him at any time, for any thing that she might need. She bowed and murmured her thanks before leaving him, heading back to her small hotel room she had been staying in. The next morning she headed to the airport to make her way back home.

Um…well that's great Dame. But it's still highly unlikely, you know. The odds are really not good. But…yeah. I don't want to take any chances if you are so convinced. I think you may be jumping to conclusions, but it doesn't hurt to look. Just……just don't start spreading this around. ninja I don't want everyone to get their hopes up and have it not be the case.

*At first a bit startled at how tightly Dame squeezes her but her shock quickly fades and she's is genuinely touched at this display. whee She starts to tear up and hugs Dame back tightly. crying Dame, being the youngest of all the ladies, in many regards has been like a daughter to her. Trying real hard not to shed tears and with her voice very shaky to try and hide this fact, she speaks very quietly.* I'll let you know either way and we'll go from there.

*Blinks to fight back the tears in her eyes and sniffs while she nods unable to speak yet.*
