Seriously though I don't understand the US's reluctance, aside from the obvious people won't like it, to join the rest of the world and use the metric system. Or why the Health care system is as bad, and abused as bad, as it currently is.

what cracks me up are the old nurses complaining about switching to the metric system for everything.
Because having half your measurements in english system and the other half in metric system is totally not gonna have consequences.

Although I work in the international shipping/freight forwarding industry, so I get a lot of documents from the US. emotion_donotwant

No I understand what you saying-there's a big difference between hanging out with someone and actually going on a date with them. Sorry for jumping to conculsions, but when I saw that first post I was worried that you might have agreed to the date. sweatdrop I should have known you'd never do that, I hope I didn't offend you. (Not that it's any of my business in the first place but still...)
