Ultraviolett1127 Shines the Intelligent Pagan beaconAnd hopefully this one can/will be moved to M&R rather than Chatterbox xp EDIT: Any and all help with this thread would be appreciated, mostly with the girl that's the thread's OP. Who knew LD could be soooo much fun!!! and YAY mission de fluff in the far reaches of the forums is successful! biggrin Who'd have guessed that without the safety of ED rules fluffs could see the light through argument biggrin biggrin The Indubitable Katie-Kat Recursive Paradox The Indubitable Katie-Kat So I need a new tea infuser, suitable for rooibos, 'cause the ones I have...not so good. Any suggestions and/or recommendations? Would a metal mesh tea/tsaine ball on a chain work? I know the one I use for my stomach blend is holding up really nicely. Maybe a little stained from the soaking in tsaine water but other than that it's in great condition. Might be worth it to invest in one or two. That's what I've been using, but it doesn't close tightly enough for my rooibos and the leaves still escape. It's not fun. >< Normally I'd suggest the wire mesh balls or spoons... (lols at last one she bought which came in a box that said "Safe Tea") But for very fine blends, I would think that a muslin bag would be best perhaps? I would think that http://www.silkroadtea.com/tea_strainers.htm may have something suitable. In other news... Seems like I'm going to be forced past my baby issues! Being the only member of my family who is currently not working, I've been roped into being a childminder for my 1year old Nephew who's very existence makes my heart break and crying crying but hey, for the trouble of pounding my still grief stricken heart, I'll be getting one bill a week paid on my behalf! yay for a teensy bit of financial relief!!!

ShadowCatSoul Ultraviolett1127 ShadowCatSoul I feel like crying... sad What's wrong? I haven't been able to find any true happiness for the past 1 1/2-2 years. Passing amusements, but that's all. I'm so lonely, no matter how many people I surround myself with. Things I used to love, my passions, I can't seem to enjoy them anymore. I feel like I'm withering from the inside out... What happened in the last couple years? What's different?

*muses* I wonder what the chances would be a of a prayer being granted if:
*The aforementioned prayer was said in a dream, but you were close enough to waking that you were capable of coherent thought. *The prayer was actually something you want, obviously enough for your subconscious to dream about praying for it. *In the waking world, you've thought about saying this prayer alot; but decided not to.

maenad nuri Ipod classic, 5th gen. Is dead. Computers won't recognize it, particularly the mac. The PC occasionally recognizes there is a drive there, but doesn't find anything on it. This is the first time that 24 hours hasn't brought it mysteriously to life by the mere grace of Hermes. I've done the usual, won't hard reboot or manually restart. Nothing on the screen. It worked fine as of 11am yesterday and was fully charged. When you say hard reboot, you mean 'Menu and Center Button'? I'm not sure what the manually restart option is, but that's probably because of the language.. Do you mean restoring it to the factory settings through iTunes when it's recognised on the PC? If not, that might be something to try when it does get recognised, that is.. It's kind of weird that it does recognise it on the PC but not the Mac, I have to say. We've heard of the issue in reverse, but if it's recognised on the PC, it tends to be available on the Mac, too. (Needs to be reformatted as a Mac drive in order to be used, certainly, but it's there..) Do you have any other ports you can try for the Mac, maybe? Or a friend with another Mac to try it on? If you've tried the reset, you can try putting it in Disk Mode as well. It's basically a reset (so menu and center button), but when you see the Apple Logo appear, you let go and press the center button and the.. button in the south position.. pause/play! And hold till it shows it finished booting to disk mode. (Alternatively, you simply let go of the menu button and then move your finger to the pause/play button. We're always told to release both buttons before pressing in the new combination, but it might be worth to try it while holding it down as well.) See if you can see it on the PC and the Mac then. o: It will count as your basic external USB stick. See if the results are more encouraging then in regards to connectivity. Quote: AND AS I WROTE THIS IT TURNED BACK ON! MAZE IS AWESOME. Is there a remote switch somewhere? ninja I'm not at liberty to disclose that information. Quote: Um barring this, is the bizarre 24 hour not working period normal? Or should I just start saving up for a new one? If it were normal, it'd be mentioned in the specifications as 'hibernation mode' or something I'm betting, so no, not really. XD; I've got one more thing I can hopefully check for you tomorrow (depending on which coaches will be on the floor), but if you try that and get back to me with that information, I'll see about being more conclusive in regards to the 'New iPod y/n' issue. It might not be a bad idea, though. sweatdrop

yeah, I mean menu and start button. I got real good at that when I had a *thinks* third gen.
I tried restoring it on the PC, but everytime I try, itunes and or my PC freezes up and never regains function. I'm thinking of figuring out how to format it for the Mac, so I can be totally free of my PC. No friends with macs, unfortunately.
Throughout all of this, I get absolutely nothing on the Ipod screen. Nothing until it starts working (fully charged, even). It's pretty much a brick up until that point.
It's working right now, knock on wood, and providing me with excellent, uh, .....audiobooks. Yes, audiobooks. We'll go with that.
Oddly, it tends to do this after prolonged exposure to my state farm badge. Huh.
