As he looked around and saw where he was, Lan clenched his fists as he ran out of the opera house. "No... NO....NOOOOOO!!!" he screamed as a dark rage of power filled his body. All of a sudden he fell to his knees in pain. "AAhhhhhahhaa" he cried out as he shifted to his cat form but the pain did not stop. His eyes became firey red and all of a sudden, a pair of pitch black wings spurted from his back. In rage he flew up above the city and flew towards the rundown "throne" of Master.

Across the city, most of the world was silent. As the demon flew through the air, people rushed into their homes. Parents grabbed their children and pulled them inside, lovers cuddled frightened together, and the lonely outsiders were left to shivers in their corners of stone, praying that it was not the appocalypse.

Lan spied the house and instead of going to the ground, he smashed through the ceiling. As he kneeled, he turned his head up and looked at master. Then through a demonic yet heavenly voice he said "Know who I am? You've heard I guess. Not all angels are humanish. I am the angel of death" he said as he walked towards master, drawing his sword. As soon as it was out it burst into blue flames.

Kane stared in horror at the monster. "N-no. What, what did you,"
"Hah!" With a dry laugh, Master said to Kane, "Don't you see? This is what your little kitten really is. You've never been able to tell when your playing with water and when you're playing with fire." Turing to Lan, he threatened, "Well? What are you waiting for? Didn't you come back to kill me? Are you afraid that yor precious little boyfriend will get in the way?"

"Keep laughing. Nice to meet you" Lan said as he appeared right in the face of Master. He waved his hand and Kane was released. "You see Master, I command the powers of hell and heaven. You are nothing," he said as he pulled back his sword. "Now die" as he stabbed the sword into master's head. A few seconds after it was inside, his head exploded. Blood covered Lan as he sheethed his sword. Suddenly his wings drew into his body and he changed back to his human form. He looked over himself and his blood covered body. "O...Oh my god...." then he turned to Kane. He picked up the ring from where it had fallen. Placing it on the step above Kane, he turned away and he started to cry. "I-I guess you'll be wanting that back" his hands covered his face as he fell to his knees and sobbed.

Kane stared in horror and disbelief, shaking his head. Taking a few steps back, he turned and ran from the place as fast as he could. His mind was jumbled and he wasn't thinking right. He was very confused inside. He no longer knew who Lan was, or who he was, or what had happened. All he knew was that he wanted to keep runnning. He was trying to get away from something, and he would not stop until fatigue would stop him.

Lan turned and reached out a hand as Kane ran away. Then he reached down and picked up the ring. Knowing how his father must have felt now, he sang his sorrow and pain out. The notes reached all across the city. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SwZuv7YU8SU

As he ran, Kane tripped and fell. Lying on the ground for a minute, he tried to gather his thoughts. If he let himself stay in chaos, he may not have survived. As he went over what had just happened, he remebered. Lan was still all alone in the building. But what had happened frightened Kane. He had never seen like that before. He wondered if Lan would ever get like that to him. Despite his fears, Kane did not want Lan to be alone. "He took me in when I was alone. I cannot leave him to suffer by himself." Getting up, Kane ran back to the building with a limp and a cut on his cheek. Ignoring the small stream of blood, Kane called, "Lan! Lan!" When he reached the throne again, he saw Lan drenched in blood. Hearing Lan's sad song broke Kane's heart. "Lan!" He called again as he hurried to his side. "Lan, I...I'n so sorry. I left you here, didn't I?" Despite his fear of being rejected after abandoning him, Kane put his arms around Lan. "I'm so sorry. I-I love you..."

"H-how can you love me after what I did. I can't believe it. I-Im the angel of death....H-how can you love me?" Lan cried as his tears mixed with his blood. A black feather fell and drifted across Lan's cheek.

"D-don't worry," Kane stuttered. "I am afraid, but...but I love you. And that's going to keep me by your side." Kane tried to wipe away Lan's tears, but he only smeared the blood. "Come on. Why don't I take you to Kasa's? We'll get you all cleaned up." Although kane was still trembling slightly, he wanted to make sure Lan was alright. After what he had just been thorugh, Lan needed more support than Kane.

"P-please....If you are scared, run away....I-I only transformed because I was so afraid that I would lose you....N-now Im hideous.." he said as he cried, trying to not touch Kane. "I-I must s-seem like a monster now.....m-maybe it's time that I let you go free. Y-you wouldn't h-have to be scared anymore" as he drew out his sai and pointed it at his own chest.

Kane grabbed Lan's sword by its blade and grasped it firmly. "I'm not going to run. I love you too much to do that to you. Now, I don't know if you'll be able to get back to your normal form, but a little water will have you looking 100% better." Kane put the sai aside and embraced Lan. Pulling him close, Kane said softly, "You just leave everything to me, okay? I'm going to take care of you."

Lan dropped the sai and for the first time, completely broke down. He didn't hold anything back as he sobbed into Kane's embrace. Kane still loved him even after Lan found out that he was the angel of death. "Y-you are a true angel" he said as he tears slowed. Then he looked up and slowly his body shifted back to his human form. "You deserve to see the world like one. Im gonna try something" he closed his eyes and focused. All of a sudden, his wings grew back and he tested then. "To Kasa's then. Hang on" he said as he embraced Kane and flew off into the sky with his black wings. As they soared over the city, Lan felt love as he had never felt before.
