Mat well i just brought another person to the dark side my borther just sent me a PM asking me what SM chapter he shouldbuy an army of Well, he should just buy the space marine boxed army. Its the best way to start. As for which chapter, that is up to him. The codex has a lot of info on what chapter he might like, but the IA's are the best source for inspiration.

All of them are very good armies, so it really comes down to which he likes the most. Its the transport rules, ie no assaulting out of a tank unless it is opentopped or a Landraider...
but they can still jump out of a vehicle that moved more than 12" unlike most others so you can hurtle 13"-18" across the board and shoot the hell out of anything in front of you.
I never used to use transports in my army always the assault squads full size with a couple of flamers biggrin

Bump it like its hawwwwwt bump it like its hawwwwwt, but no really anyone here ever use an assault squad w/out jump packs? i mean it says in rules u can subtract em for -15 pts...but why oh merciful enigma!

Which of th primarchs would you date (boys, just play along). And in the case of a fallen primarch please state if it is pre or post heresy.
First, I'd date Crovax because I heart hot, angsty goth boys.
Second, I'd date pre Mortarion for just about the same reason as above.
Third would be Night Haunter (says the girl who thinks the Space is cute...)
