That's just a scientific term I heard in one world. It means it rewrites the body's DNA and reactivates it's growth processes if the form mismatches the DNA too much. In a male's case, since I'm female, the person will become what he'd have become if he was born a girl, shedding the extra mass men have the same way the body disposes of waste products.
But vampires in my world weren't necrotic freaks, since they turned people with a FEV instead of a curse. They were very much alive, they just had long lifespans, digestive systems that benefited more from blood than other things, and had taste buds that favored the flavor of blood.

Vampires in Miro's world spread their vampirenessnessness through a virus as well, which made them practically dead, but somehow not dead... like zombies. However, unlike zombies, vampires keep their intelligence and don't decay.... or at least don't appear to decay. The longer they've been a vampire, the more pale they get, though... so maybe the decay is just really really slow.
The first vampire was a dark elf and he's about as pale as Miro now eek

Your facial expression... I meant the body shrinks, and the man's bits recede into the body, all of the man's unneeded cells that a female body wouldn't have getting treated as waste products while a female system is formed and the bladder shrinks to accommodate the forming uterus. But I wouldn't turn a person who wasn't willing to have that happen. :3
You were picturing the bits just falling off into the pants or toilet weren't you?
