"Now Tony, how do you know the prenup isn't valid? Have you told Psy about this? Not that she'd care much, she's so over the top when it comes to Dougherty. And I doubt he's emotionally or verbally abusing her."

He gives katana a very stoic look. "Perhaps Triny has never mentioned it and you have not discerned it from my bookkeeping, but I am a very seasoned lawyer. I could recognize an invalid document in my sleep. But if you must know the details, all I had to do was check the signatures. There was only one. Neither Triny's nor a notary's signature were present, both of which are required. As for the rest, he could have simply copied pages from a book into a document and printed it all out himself for all I know. Seeing the lack of Triny's and a notary's signature was enough for me to know that the document was a joke."
He turns to set the towel down somewhere before addressing Kits.
"I think my sister is in over her head. She wanted what she perceives to be a 'normal' life so much that she jumped at the prospect of it without looking at all the details. When she puts her mind to something, she goes at it with full force and at times becomes blinded by it."

Are you sure you had the official copy of the prenup? It's possible that the official copy is locked up somewhere, and they gave you a different one. It doesn't seem unlikely that there would be more than one copy, one stored somewhere safe.
*reaches down to pick Gin up, holding him on her lap* People in love do tend to rush into things sometimes. But I've seen them together enough to know that the feeling is mutual. I really don't think Dougherty would do anything to hurt Psyzapp.

There wasn't even a place for other signatures. Only his. If the official document has all the necessary signatures, a photocopy of that is what he should have provided instead of the garbage he gave me.
As for divorce, I am sure Mama would try to guilt her out of the idea if it were to ever be discussed. rolleyes But assuming she was able to get to the proceedings, given Triny's reputation and criminal record added to the fact it is her word against that of an officer, who apparently people think rather highly of," he pauses a moment to eye Kits. "...he could very well take just about everything she has, even if Triny had the best lawyers on her side. Judges and juries almost always lean in favor of police officers."

"Well, for some reason, I just don't see proceedings ever occurring, knowing how Franco and Marco operate. But for now, I need to get to bed. I'll be around tomorrow evening, Tony, if you want to get together and go over the books again. I can bring up my laptop and we can compare notes. wink Besides, you still have three MW ladies to serve to fulfill your penalty. xd "
She slid her now empty glass across the bar to him and turned to wave at Kits.
"Night Kits...see you later. biggrin " She left the the bar and headed to the office and on to her quarters to retire for the evening.

Finished cleaning up, Antonio calls Victor to come and pick him up and changes back into his regular clothes while he waits. He puts the uniform back where he found it behind the counter and collects his laptop bag before exiting the bar. Victor arrives soon after with the towncar and Antonio settles into the back seat as they head back to the estate.
