The only reason I'm not doing it is because it gets so boring and tedious after a while.

You just look for people with tanks in their signature which say booty grab, click, play the lil game, and get gold.
Now if you want to be an owner of a tank then you have to pay for fish and all that. Of course, then all you need to do is have people play booty grab from your tank instead of you playing others.

Yes. Ready, see the tank (aquarium) I have in my signature? You look for these. Ones that are glowing and say "BOOTY GRAB" you click. That opens up a window where you play a mini-game to catch gold coins being dropped by the fishies. You keep the gold you catch and the owner of the tank also gets some. If you find really awesome tanks you can get a lot of gold from one game. I made 40k? in a day or two from playing once.

Or buy an evolving item that's not fully evolved, and sell it when it comes close to being fully evolved. That saves a lot of booty grabbing. xD
