She waited until Kits was gone and turned to Hauk.
"Okay Viking...let's go see Liada. You're wound so tight the tension is radiating off you." She finished her drink and went around the bar to rinse her glass out.

He waves to Kits as she walks out of the bar and then tosses the rest of his drink before throwing out the bottle. As Kat goes to rinse out her glass he rushes over to where Liada would have been sitting in the video and inspects the area. Not seeing much of anything yet he was about to give up when he spotted a few drops of blood on the seat. Yea...and I have every right to be. His face was completely blank as he rushed back to where Kat was standing by the office doors and follows her so that she can do the scans.

She led him down the corridor and paused in front of Liada's door.
"Now, before you go in there with both guns blazing, I want you to LISTEN to her. If she is hurt, she has plenty of ways to heal herself and she needs rest above all else. And she won't be getting any if you go in and rile her up or get her upset."
She crossed her arms under her bosom and arched an eyebrow at him, letting him know she was very serious about how she expected him to act around Liada.

Hauk gives a surprised look at Kat but he knew she was right. It sounded like the demon was assisting Liada to heal her so he knew that she would most likely be resting. But seeing that blood on the seat wasn't helping his nerves. He leaned against the wall and hands Kat the key, not trusting himself to not break down the door. He gives a slight worried pout and doesn't look in Kat eyes. Agreed..... stare

She took the key that he must have borrowed from security and sighed. She slipped her arms around him and gave him a tight hug.
"I know you're worried, but you have to remember, she has thousands of years of experience on her side. So, be a good son and don't freak out on her." She tiptoed up to give him a quick kiss before unlocking the door.
She pushed it open gently, and called out, entering ahead of Hauk.
"Liada? It's Kat...you awake, hun?"

Liada's ears twitched as she mumbled in her sleep. She thought she heard someone speak but ignored it as she snoozed away....

Hauk followed Kat into the apartment and looked around. There were books laid out on the coffee table in the living room but nothing else in here looked out of sorts. Rev? You here? Just do something you normally do and scare the crap outta me with one of your imps... He goes to examine the kitchen while Kat goes into one of the other rooms.

She found Liada in her bed, fast asleep. She gently sat down on the edge of the bed and gently touched her shoulder.
"Liada? It's Kat. Hauk's here with me and wants to know that you're still alive. Come on, fox...wakey wakey time."

Feeling someone shake her shoulder, Liada's eye busts open and she quickly flips Kat over and under her going into attack mode. evil Putting a hand to her throat and raising her arm to strike at her. She forgets that she's raised her injured arm and twinges in pain. The pain brings her focus back to where she was and then looks to see who was under her.  K-Katana? OMG! I'm so sorry!! I didn't mean to do that!

Hauk was inspecting one of the other rooms until he heard a mixture of Kat's crying out and a small growl coming from the other side of the apt. He rushes to the source in Liada's bedroom and bursts in. Katana! Are you al-!.....He stops dead in his tracks to see Liada in skimpy sleep wear straddling Katana who was slightly scruffed up in her clothes and hair and the two of them stare back at him.  Uh....um.....I'll just be in this room here...for a moment...He tries to back out and leave only to run face first into the door frame. Cradling his nose he quickly rushes out to try and get that image out of his head.

*Makes it home and she made Showcase walk behind her about 10 feet the entire way home. stare She closes and locked the door to her private entrance, descended the stairs and went into her bedroom. She changed into something for bed, slid in and into the middle of the bed. She curled up into a ball and just tried to fall asleep. After a lot of tossing and turning, she eventually relaxes enough to fall asleep.*

Not expecting to be attacked, she was completely unprepared and found herself on her back. She was about to deflect a possible strike when Liada realized it was her.
"Yeah, it's me....mind getting off of me now? stare " She glared in the direction where Hauk had disappeared and cursed him silently for disappearing on her. Once Liada moved she sat back up and glared at her.
"WTF, woman? Geez, we come by to check on you and this is how you react? stressed "

Cradling her arm, Liada's ears fall flat on her head and tucks her tail in. Looking like a kicked puppy as she apologized to Kat.  I said I was sorry! When you've been away for 3 days going under cover, having to fight off all sorts of unseelie and seelie fae, having your eye practically gouged out by a goblin, a torn up arm and all sorts of other injuries you'd be paranoid too! You used to be a merc you know how it is! Seeing Hauk retreat she mentally kicked herself in the head and slowly crawled off the bed to put some pants on at least.

She watched as Liada went to find some pants. "Hauk's been beside himself with worry about you. I told him he needed to behave and not rile you up. Now, what the hell happened to you?"

Well if it makes you feel any better its the first time in years I've been that jumpy like that. Liada sighed and pushed up her bangs so that Kat could see the traces of a scar around the edge of her eye patch. Well since you're both here I might as well tell you together and not have to repeat myself....Slipping on pants she stretches a moment to get some of the ache out and goes to grab one of her potions before she exits the room to where Hauk is and has Kat follow her.
