Yes, we definitely need more coffee... *glances down at her midsection*, but I'd better pass on those donuts. Everything goes straight to the lower quadrant these days. xp

If you're not gonna eat those donuts, could I have 'em?
I stopped caring about staying in shape when I started to have to care about staying in shape. About 27 years of age, as I recall, the fat started sticking around and I started getting out less.
Got fat, then got married a year later. I was a skinny little pretty boy from college until then, but I got no action until... Hmmm... I remember, in college, all the really big chubby guys always seemed to have the prettiest dates... I asked once and she hinted that it was hard not to look good next to a tub o'lard and those guys tended to be... easier to handle... Double hmmm....
Don't waste those donuts, I got me some pounds to put on!

*Hands you the donuts* It's not so much I care about looking all fat - it's the fact that I can't afford new clothes gonk

Remember the Jack Sprat nursery rhyme? That is me any my husband... he is a walking twig and I am a bit round... I am actually trying to lose weight... but at my age it is quite a struggle. The new thing I have started is doing some good, but like all things I try, it works when you first get started, then when the weight stops going you start to get it all back two fold.

*spraying out bits of donut from his mouth as he talks.*
You know *mmmrph, gnumph* I've always THOUGHT I was fat, but when I look at old pictures of myself *gomble, chew* I realize that I wasn't. I was a pretty thin little geek *gnobble, mumph.*
Now, these days, I have PROOF that I'm fat *gobble, gulp* My ideal weight is 180 *gnosh, gnosh* but I'm about 230 right now. *Gargles a donut and takes a swig of Milk of Magnesia. Wipes his face with the back of his hand.* You should have seen me when I got married! *Munch, snarf* I've lost about 40 or 50 pounds since then.
*Beeeeeelch.*
Thanks for the donuts!

Ugh. I think I ate too much... and I can't quite get all the cream filling from that last Bismark out of my eyebrows.
(Harumph. She should talk. Once, Umberella and I were kicked out of one of those "English Tea Shops" in Portland. This was when we got overly enthusiastic with some sort of multi-layered pastry. They said we were being lewd, but we were just hungry after a long plane flight.)

Whenever I watch the kittens nurse I am reminded of the scene on Meet The Fockers when they talk about milking the cat...
