[[Location: Vaccine Sentinal Tower / Top Floor.]]
Dead-pan silence. Everyone was gone. Kazu's corpse lay motionless in the center of the room. Dead. A single white feather laying on his back. Suddenly, it shone brightly a white light filling the room and lighting up the tower like an impossibly bright beacon. "Absolute Healing!"
[[Location: ???]]
"Oh ho ho ho ho ho!" Kazu's eyes twitched. "I've done it! I'm just baby steps away from it!" His eyes opened slowly. Everything around him was black, but somehow it was familiar. The floor was solid. He pushed up against it, to his knees. He looked around to see Piedmon cackling and ranting to himself. "Ohhhhhhhhh! Your awake! Good." Kazu rubbed the back of his head. "Piedmon... Where are we? I... I don't remember." The clown turned on his heel. He folded one arm across his torso and the other lightly rested upon his chin. "Surely you recognise this place? I'm sure you've been here before." Kazu looked around, blackness everywhere. He shook his head. "Umm, Piedmon." The clown whipped the finger resting on his chin and pointed it at Kazu, indicating for the Boy to pause. "You desire to know where we are and how we got here? Let me offer an answer to the first question." The clown slowly walked over to Kazu until his finger was pressed against the boy's forehead. He slowly ran his finger down Kazu's face, down his nose, over his mouth, past his chin, along his neck, over his collar bone, then he stopped. "This is why..." Kazu looked down. He looked where Piedmon was pointing. He froze. Disbelief was obvious on his face. Where the clown was pointing there was a gaping hole in his chest., there was no blood. Just the hole, he could see the horrible, jagged scars that Zar had left upon him too. "What... What's going on!?" Fear began to grip Kazu, shaking him to his core. Piedmon took two measured steps back. In a hushed tone, more serious then Kazu had ever heard him speak he said, "Your dead. Well to be more precise, your body is dead. This is your mind, a mass of such complex emotions and thoughts that it cannot be contained within the human body. No. Where we currently reside is an alternative universe!" He began to loose his cool towards the end, throwing his arms to the sky and howling with laughter. Kazu began to shake. "How can I be dead!? I don't even remember dying! I don't remember---" "Anything?" Piedmon dropped his arms to his side. A wicked grin spread along his lips. "You have no recollection of anything before this do you? No memories of how you died. No memories of how you know me. No memories of the familiarity of this place. Do you know why? It's because as the conciousness leaves the body, it begins to deteriorate. Think of it like this. The body is the physical anchor for the mind, no amount of dissection can find a human mind, that's because it's asteral. Not of the same plane of existance! As soon as that anchor begins to crumble, there's nothing for the mind to hold onto, it begins to fade, and with it you loose sight of who you are, what you were and eventually. You fade into nothingness. Usually you wouldn't know this was happening. I imagine normally one would remain unaware of the whole process. Your probably the first human to ever witness the destruction of their own mind through death... The first and the last." Kazu's head was spinning. Of course he could remember who Piedmon was, they'd met... "Oh my God..." The Piedmon nodded, glad Kazu was finally understanding. He shrugged and looked around, "If you look closely you can see this dimension failing..." "Wait... What dimension? Why is it crumbling!?" Why was he asking that? What did those words meant to him? "Hmm how to explain to one such as yourself. Ok. Imagine this. The entire Digital World is a bubble. One would think that a bubble is perfectly rounded with no impurities what-so-ever. However something happened. The appearance of humans to the Digital World created some thing. On the surface of the bubble that is the Digital World, there is another bubble, this one absolutly tiny in comparison, this second bubble is that of a human's conciousness. It is so vast, so infinitly complicated, the Digital World has annexed it to another plane of existance. A physical plane whereby it cannot be reached... Under normal circumstances at any rate. Now imagine, for every human in the Digital World there is one of these second bubbles, connected yet seperate, Each containing the entirety of a human mind. That Kazu. Is where we are right now. When Myotismon, Chibomon and Zerimon were born, it was out of an influx of complex data that could not be registered. Your strong emotions forged three Digi-Eggs which took on the emboiment of those emotions, they warred with each other here! Inside your mind! When I found you I knew this, which was why I intervened, removed them from you. They created a link to this dimension, a link I managed to take command of by infusing a part of my code, the mask, into the gateway! Now your mind crumbles, I can sit back and relax!" It took Kazu a second to take it all in, in a weird way it made sense, though he wasn't sure what sense was anymore. "But... If my bubble pops, what happens to me?" Piedmon stifled a grin. "Why boy. You'll disappear. As if you never existed. Do you really think anything you've done in your life has made a titanic impact on the world? Your bubble pops, your mind vanishes, and your body decays." Something burned within Kazu, something unknown, from before, it was a new sensation to him but it was also a feeling he had felt time and again, before his mind began to destroy itself. "No! I'll never be forgotten! I won't be relegated to someone's memories!" Kazu's rant ended with a confused look as to both where the words had come from, and what they meant. Piedmon looked surprised, the look vanishing in an instant. "Don't be ridiculous! Who will remember you when your gone!? Friends? Family!? Pah! insignificant people who, once dead themselves, will never pass on your legacy!" The burning was building in Kazu again, words not of his own spilt forward. "That's a lie! If you do great things then you are remembered!" "What good is that if your not there to enjoy the glory!?" "The fact you've done something great should be reward enough!" "Not as rewarding as Godhood!" A shattering noise filled the space they occupied. Through the blackness a series of giant, white cracks appeared, silencing the arguing figures instantly. The cracks began to splinter, sending lines of jagged white streaking across Kazu's plain of vision, confused he looked around to see more splintering cracks and... A clown? No he was sure the clown had been there a moment ago. Or had he? Wait what were these thoughts? Thoughts? Mind? What... "I can see you losing it Kazu!" Kazu? Was that his name? "As this Dimension is destroyed you will loose all sense of self while I just sit back at the epicenter and wait to be transported to my Godhood!" The Nameless Boy looked at the clown. Blank. Blank as the white cracks around him. Blank as the mind he once had. Only one thing remained. Survive. The Nameless Boy suddenly launched himself across the room, crashing into Piedmon and wrapping his arms tightly around the clown. The cracking, crashing noise of the cracks drowned out a cry of surprise from Piedmon. The Nameless Boy hung on tight as the clown writhed and struggled to break free, but to no use. The entire universe shattered...
The Nameless Boy awoke. Every sensation, feeling, movement an entirely new experience to him. He could remember nothing. Colour presented itself to him, a mixture of white and black, not that he knew the names of them. He rolled, an interesting movement where the boy turned totally around until he faced the same way as before. He seemed to be floating, an experience where he felt connected to nothing. Something caught his eye. "Oh... What are you?" Speech and language. He knew them but he did not know how he knew them. The object that had caught his eye was a man, dressed in fantastic, bright colours all of which envoked a different emotion within the Nameless Boy.
Piedmon awoke, rubbing his head. "Well if I'm awake... I did it!" He looked around, the white and black dimension amazing him. "Yes! Yes! This is it! The realm of purest Chaos! The realm where I shall surpass all others and become a God!" He noticed the Nameless Boy and scoffed. "Pah! Do you see now? Understand? Beyond the wall of the bubble is another dimension. The third and final bubble is where I shall reside. Ruling over all things! Think of it like this: The first bubble can se everything within itself and react with that. The second smaller bubbles can interact within themselves and the bubble below! But finally, the third bubble, which contains all things, can control it all! I have ascended to the heights of a God!"
The Nameless Boy heard the colourful man's rantings, but he didn't understand. "I... Don't remember." Piedmon rolled his eyes. "It figures. Your mind was obliterated. Your nothing but a husk. Empty to the core." The Clown drew one of his four blades and began to float towards the Nameless Boy. "I will make your end quick and painless. It truely is a wonder you have survived for so long. To reach the same place as I. A dimension of Gods. I genuinly believe we could have been friends, had my need for Godhood not taken presedence. It truely is a shame that you must die, my sacraficial lamb. Really though it could have been anyone. Anyone who could form a link to this dimension would have sufficed. I suppose it's just a shame that it was you." He arrived next to the Nameless Boy, sword poised in the air.
The Nameless boy largely ignored the Clown. He had found something else. Something wonderful. It was a giant sphere. Looking at it he could see patches of green, vast expanses of blue and the occasionaly brown jutty out bit. It was beautiful, looking down on the Digital-World in it's entirety. But that wasn't the most amazing thing. Floating above the sphere of many shapes and colours were hundreds, if not thousands of humanoid figures. Each was a burning flame in human form, shaped like the physical anchor they represented. There were many familiar feelings, words began to slip out of the Nameless Boy's mouth, not sure about their origin, he allowed them to flow. "Jax, Dax, Alex, Lance, Christian, Marcus, Alter, Draco, Ehud, Kyo, Shertei... Kazu..." The second the last name left his lips a tremour hit. Shaking the very foundations of this universe. Piedmon flipped around to see what was causing the disruption. A bright light, brighter than anything you could imagine had appeared. It was all encompassing with not a single shadow escaping it's brightness. "Who are you!" "I could ask you the same question. Who are you who dares to invade my realm during my slumber?" Piedmon froze, the voice had an air of such power, it was impossible to resist it. "I'm here to become a God! To surpass everything!" There was no immediate reaction from the voice. "I see. You may be dissapointed, but there are no Gods here. Anyone who falls under that mantra exists on the first plane. That of the Digital World." Piedmon took a step backwards. Odd seeing as he'd been floating a second ago, the voice had introduced a physical plane for them to stand upon. "What... What the hell do you mean!?" A dissapointed sigh rumbled through Piedmon's being. "I am not a God. I am the Creator and Deleter. Yggdrasil."
Kazu... That was his name. Everything was coming back to him. His past, the people he'd met, everything! Kazu got off the new floor and looked behind him. Shattered fragments of what used to be a flaming body, his conciousness, were begining to move together. "I'm back..." He turned to see the impossibly bright light and Piedmon. "Liar! I will be God!" All four swords began to float around Piedmon, he lunged forwards. A flash. When Kazu opened his eyes he could see the Clown lying on the asteral floor. Eyes rolled back into his head, swords scattered around him. "Piedmon! No!" Kazu ran to the clown and dropped to his knees, holding the limp Digimon. "Why? Why do you mourn the one who used you. Used you to gain more power?" Kazu looked at Yggdrasil, anger flaring up. "Because he was my friend! Despite his actions I can forgive him. He's always been crazy but he helped me out! You've no right to just kill him!" What could only be described as a laughing noise rumbled from the light. "Well little human. Why do I have no right? He was trying to attack me. I would say I defended well against my foe." Kazu gritted his teeth and got to his feet. "Whatever! Why can I remember everything? Tell me!" The voice grunted, clearly displeased at the movement off topic, "You remembered your name. A name is the most powerful tool in memory. However since your mortal body is dead, you can only live on either here, or within your own dark mind for eternity. Now then I have answered your question. Answer mine." Kazu nodded. The voice made a satisfied noise. "You have arrived here, used by your 'Friend' lost all your sense of being only to have it fragily pieced back together, and yet you can find it to forgive him. Why?" Kazy thought for a moment. He looked over his shoulder at the unconcious Piedmon and the glorious sight of conciousness' and the Digital World beyond it. "It's because I believe. I believe that no matter what. There is good in everyone. Even those who seem to be consumed by darkness. I don't want anyone to be hurt following their dreams. Which is why I can't let you hurt my friend anymore." The voice seemed satisfied with Kazu's responce. "I have never understood humans. Before you only one other has ever visited me in person. It was him that caused me to carry out the first true purge of the Digital World many aeons ago. You are lucky. Your views have kept the world safe for that little bit longer. I will return to my slumber. But know this. If ever the balance of the Digital World proves to be to tipped in either direction. I will purify it. Reset the world anew, and start again. One of my minions will restore you and join you. Now begone I must rest!" Kazu was confused at Yggdrasil's statement, but before he could ask any questions, who the first person was to meet him, what the great purge was, why he was being spared. A bright light smashed into himself and Piedmon. The last thing Kazu saw was the Digital World, surrounded by the minds of humans, his own mind repairing itself...
A gasping noise echoed around the room. Kazu began coughing and spluttering as oxygen graced his lungs. He looked around expecting to see someone, anyone. But there was no-body there. Looking down himself Kazu could see his clothes were bloodied and torn, he scratched the side of his head... No glasses? But he could see perfectly. Something else was wrong. There was no scarring down his front, the old wound from Zar or the freshly made hole. Both were gone... "Hey! Your up! Your up!" A ball of feathers crashed into Kazu. "What the!?" The ball hit the floor and rolled around into a position where it could talk easier. It was a chic Digimon. "I'm Chicchimon! Boy I thought you weren't gonna make it!" "Jeeze thanks... Hey what happened?" The fluffball bounced onto Kazu's lap. "Everyone left so I healed you! Though you were pretty much dead, I thought to myself 'Hey Chronomon, what's the harm in trying? He's clearly a good person!' and it worked! Your alive!" Kazu took a moment to process the information. "So I really died... Then Yggdrasil did grant me a second chance..." He looked around and saw a familiar face, Piedmon was passed out next to him. Chicchimon saw him looking and piped up. "He's not dead. Don't worry." Kazu nodded, then a word from earlier hit him. "Did you say Chronomon? You mean..." "Yeah! I turn into Chronomon at Mega level! Though I had to give up my powers temporarily to fix you up." Kazu looked at the little bird, bewildered. "Wow little guy. Your really something special. How about you join me? We could do with someone like you onside. Our resident healer isn't really a specialist." He ruffled the birds head as he squealed in excitement, yelling his enthusiasm over and over again. Kazu laughed. Something he hadn't done in what seemed like an age. "Well then. I'll introduce you to everyone." With a click of his Digivice, all of Kazu's partners materialised. There was a moment of silence. All the Digimon looked confused as to where they were. Veemon was the first to realise. "Kazu! Your alive!" He dove onto his Tamer, tears welling in his eyes. The others realised and joined in, leaping onto Kazu in a giant group hug. "We thought you were dead!" "We watched you die!" "I'm so glad to see you!" "Kazu you're ok!" "BancoLeomon knew you'd return to us!" "We were so worried!" "Calm down Demi-Veemon. Good to see your well Kazu!" "I prayed for your safety!" Tears ran down Kazu's cheeks as his friends hugged him. A single voice picked up from the back. "Well done Kazu... It appears you helped me find the route to God-Hood afterall... I apologise for my actions." The rest of the Digimon looked confused, looking between Piedmon and Kazu, hoping for an explination. "It's ok. I trust in you if you'll trust in me." That was the end of it. Everyone was too happy to see Kazu alive and well to be angry.
After everyone had settled down Kazu introduced them to Chicchimon. Explained what had happened to him and what he needed to do now. "So basically We need to maintain order. In my eyes the power of Darkness is growing too strong and throwing us off balance. And I know the perfect person to start off with. Marcus." At the mear mention of his name, Kazu's friends shuddered. "I know. But we've fought against him before and won, we can do it again." "You seem to forget he killed you before, he could do that again too." Kazu nodded at Myotismon. "I know, but if I can train my Digi-Soul then I can compete with him equally. So thats our next move. To train in the usage of Digi-Soul. Properly. I think it'd be best to find a teacher. But in terms of who will accompany me for now, I think it's best for Chicchimon, Zerimon and Piedmon to be my active team. The rest of you are too fatiuged from recent battles. BanchoLeomon you still haven't fully recovered from Network City." The group grudgingly agreed, each one of thm wanted to watch Kazu incase something terrible happened again. But they knew deep down he was right. Kazu got to his feet, and clapped. "Then it's decided. Off we go!" Those who were not coming with him phsyically were teleported into Kazu's Digivice and then off to Sanctuary. With Chicchimon on one shoulder and Zerimon on the other and Piedmon behind him Kazu looked out of the top of the Vaccine Sentinal Tower. A pink knight had emerged a little bewildered. Kazu gave him a wave. He was still blood-soaked but he didn't care, he walked to one of the openings as gust of wind blew his torn clothes and ruffled his hair.
It was good to be alive.

SaberLeomon pounded after Zanbamon who was galloping forward, so he followed. His feet started to hurt again, but he decided not to ask for some off time. Instead Christian interrupted him briefly saying that he should get some rest, and that he'd use ChaosWarGreymon himself. "Thanks Christian." With that SaberLeomon reverted back into the Digivice as a blue stream of date, just O's and 1's. Christian had already jumped off. He, then landed safely on a now realized ChaosWarGreymon who was now right next to Zanbamon if not neck and neck with Zanbamon. [[Exit to Raggedy Inn]]

Rebecca's eyes tensed for a moment, calculating every response which she could use to remedy the boy's curiosity. Then the stress from her eyes waned, the key was simply answering from the heart,"I thought you were the type, who was too busy inching his way forward to question this world," Rebecca asked, in an almost sincere sounding voice. "I think your blessed Alter, for at this moment, everything in this play unravels in the direction in which you choose, just follow your heart like always." Rebecca smiled for a second, it almost felt warm. Then the moment passed, and she turned away returning to her typical arrogant and snobbish self. She still refused to explain herself, not at this point when nearby forces could snoop in and ruin her plans. No she had learned from before, bearing out one's heart and ideals only led to betrayal. She would simply walk the path she had chosen, until it reached the destination Rebecca so desperately searched for. Whatever lied ahead, she had no choice but to kick, bite and scratch her way forward. The prologue was over, and act one had just begun. After walking for almost a minute, she turned back to see Alter still standing there. "Come on you big lug, we'll never make it to the gear savannah if you just keep pondering all on your lonesome!"

Alter was tempted to laugh at Rebecca's comments, she certainly didn't know him very well. His certainly wasn't blessed, and his past self never followed his own heart, just the miss guided laws that were carved into his mind. But this girl didn't seem... evil, maybe not completely good, but certainly not evil. And she did speak about destroying evil, even if they had to become bastards, not that he wasn't one already. He would give in. Alter nodded as she called him over. "Gear Savannah? That far huh. Then I suppose we better leave as soon as possible." He nodded as he walked over towards her. And if he didn't like her plan he could always stop her early anyways.
(Exit to Gear Savannah it seems)

Shapes began to smug and colorers blurred. His body felt as if there were weights tied to them making him drop to his knees. Kyo's eyes glazed over. His head became a rock and he fell to the white tiled floor. This odd state caused Kyo's digimon to be dragged onto his digivice. Everything went black. The shock waves that rushed through the ground cause Kyo's body float over the ground as if he was possessed. He body laid passed out over the hole caused by the destruction in the tower. The body dwindled over the edge even if for just a moment but then plunged into the darkness.
Kyo opened his eyes. It was very had to see do to the little light that streamed from the top of the tower. He wasn't sure where he was of how long he had been there but one thing he was sure of, Kyo was lost.

▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆ ▆▆▆▆▆▆ ▆▆ KYO ROJI- - - - - - From a single seed comes a forest. Kyo looked around the pit were he sit. "Awwww why dose this stuff only happen to me" He said shutting his eyes. He hoisted himself up, and opened his eyes. "Gah! I'm filthy!" He screamed. His voice echoed in the tunnel under the Sentinel Tower. He reached into his bag and took from it a vivid teal rag. Kyo began to dust himself from the dirty that covered his body. Kyo took his fingers and ran them from his jet black hair. He looked to his left nothing but inky blackness over to his right more inky blackness. "Awwwww I wish Marcus or Kazu was here they would know what to do" As the words left his lips the memories of what happened at the Tower flooded his mind. Trying to find Chris, the battle with Alter, Kazu coming to the rescue, and Marcus falling into the darkness again. "I failed again" Kyo said dropping to the ground again, not caring about the dirt the covered him once more. "Kyo!" A shrill voice shouted from the Digivice's screen. Data began to rush out of the device and formed Kinko, the bright pink Yokomon. "Always look at the glass half empty Kyo." The Pink flower digimon told his tamer. "You just stumbled a little, by any means did you fail." Kinko said. He closed his eyes and focused his energy. His body began to glow causing him to digivolve into Mushroomon. "Besides you fixed Marcus once you can fix him again with no problems." He reached out his hand and reviled a thumbs up.Kyo stood up and looked to his digimon "You always have the right thing to say." Kyo patted the Mushroomon's head. "Lets go that way" Kyo said pointing to the right. As Kyo and Kinko walled their steps echoed in the cave. They walked for what seemed like forever. They all but gave up when they came upon the end Light poured into the cave. "Gah! Kinko we made it! Network City!" [All caught up to the Network City event.]

Alter stood on one of the main balcony's of Vaccine Tower, his eyes fixed on Network city. He could sense some of the battles going on in the city, a few virus digimon acting up, but incases like these he was reluctant to act. Viruses were by nature evil, but their kind had grown that way, and to just delete every one of them wouldn't serve his purpose of destroying evil. He sighed as he closed his eyes, letting his mind wander out over the city, investigating the battles, they were in control for now, someone was fighting them, and someone would win them. And if the winner proves a threat then he would just remove that stain from the storage of this world.
The black haired human turned as Crusadermon, or Shigure, looked back from the city to him, her arms crossed as she leaned against the wall of the building. Alter flashed a smile at her, it quickly disappearing when she gave no response. She had been sent to watch him. It was understandable. He had killed Seraphimon, and tried to destroy the entire tower. Well, a different version of him had, but he couldn't explain that to the angels. And of course by all rights he should have been dead. Alter shook his head, thinking of the past now was a waste of time. He turned back towards the city. There was something bothering him about it, something was going to happen, and he was going to have to respond quickly.

Rebecca was a few feet away, twiddling her digivice between her fingers, a sign of boredom even during impending crisis. The world was never enough for this girl, even though she was currently in a world of dreams and fantasy she would not settle for the digital world as is. No, there were so many wonderful things she saw that no one else would understand. That may make here insane, but Rebecca did not care that much about small little trifles such as sanity. She was more concerned with the big picture. A drama, no an epic about to unfold between her very eyes. And yet she was stuck in this dry tower, playing watchdog with her all too serious acquaintance Alter. Well, it could be said they were friends, but neither were really that willing to trust another enough to use that term. Of course, Rebecca could speak on and on about friendship, trust and the strength drawn from it, but that was only when she was playing the role of the hero. Now that mask was inappropriate for her. She was more of an onlooker. Or perhaps, an actor waiting backstage for their time to come. The girl's ears twitched, causing the colorful hair which was covering them to ruffle ever so slightly. It was nothing, just a little thing she had noticed. Had Alter just smiled? Nah, most likely a trick of the eye. She looked out at the digital landscape before her once more, knowing for certain some where the first act had begun without her. There was a sort of anticipation in the way she held the bar, wrapping her fingers tight around enough to squeeze the life out of it were it a living being. Her companion was with her as well, but this one seemed to be mocking her by copying her every action. Though it was hard to distinguish when the panda was being facetious or straight. Rebecca noticed though, and she took a step back from the railing, adding a light spin. Panda would copy this gracefully, despite the fact he had no toes to spin on. "I really thought I would get you that time," She commented. But the panda only shrugged at her. The world may have been coming apart around her, but Rebecca did not seem to have a care in the world at the moment. Which was a lie. She had plenty of cares. And in fact, a single person she did genuinely care for. But that person was not in the digital world. He was far away, in a different story. Rebecca knew how to reach him though, that was all that mattered to her.

Alter turned his attention towards Rebecca. That girl seemed glued to his side since he had met her. The girl and her panda were spinning now, one trying to catch the other or something, he wasn't sure what kind of game they were playing, but it all seemed rather foolish. She probably couldn't sense anything beyond the norm, a shame, if she knew about what was the come she would probably be more serious. "Why are you still here?" He had been wondering that since... well forever. He had nothing against her, she was probably the closest thing he had to a human friend, and yet he couldn't explain why she was interested in him at all.

Rebecca stopped spinning and fell backwards, utterly stunned that Alter would ask such a blatant question. The pandamon imitated the same motion with utter perfection. That sneaky little bear. She stared at Alter in silence, watching him with her foxlike eyes for what seemed like the longest time. Then she opened her mouth, about to tell him the truth. The entire spiel about fate, this world and her dream. But then she corrected herself internally and instantly. Alter was far too narrow minded and judgemental a person to understand her world view. Only one other person had the right amount of cold logic mixed with dashes of insanity to comprehend Rebecca's ambitions, but that boy was lost to her. For now all she had was the angel's attack hound. He wasn't a suitable replacement in any aspect, but he was here. "You remind me of somebody I knew once. He was the type of man who always seemed to calm the chaos of the world, simply by glancing in its direction. I suppose in that respect you two are nothing alike. But, you have the same eyes." She gave, a small sentimental reason. It was not the exact truth, but it was close enough. The Rebecca who stood in front of Alter was not the type to spill secrets easily, unless she had some dramatic backing urging her to do so. The fact she would reveal so small a detail was remarkably rare, as the girl who loved to talk about herself, and her ambitions never once mentioned her past. "I want those eyes to see me revolutionize the world," She let slip, but quieter this time.

Alter remained silent, there wasn't anything to say to Rebecca. She was there because she was lonely. That he was a temporary replacement for someone else. It didn't bother him. He was fine with people not caring about him, as long as they didn't interfere. He just looked forward at her, his glaze unshifting as he watched her.
To be honest he had expected something more about his destiny, or her destiny, or how it was her destiny to make him into someone fun loving and hyper, and nothing at all like he was. No matter, what ever reasons she had to be there, she was still a strange creature. But he couldn't hate his only friend, could he.

Rebecca averted her eyes from Alter, the boy was such a bore during times like these. She wanted some epic monologue, on how it was wrong to use people as placeholders, or perhaps some cry of desperation, that he was much more than a shadow. Simple acceptance would never please her. Were the greatest of stories forged from its main characters simply accepting their fate--no of course not. In a proper tale, there is a struggle and ultimate failure when battling with fate. Humans cannot control their own fate, but they must struggle to do so regardless. That was one truth Rebecca knew. And here was another. That boy in front of her, the only thing he would truly listen to in the digital world was the angel's guidance. She was not sure how, though she had already invented her own back story for him to explain it, but that was irrelevant. The past too, that was also irrelevant. The only two elements which mattered in the equation were the present and the future. She had no control of the latter, but Rebecca could do her best to manipulate the former. This was her struggle against destiny, the destiny which had written her off as nothing more than a child of misfortune. "Alter, now its my turn for a question. Those angels you worship so, are you aware that they don't truly exist in the terms that most gods and angels do. . ." she began, tempting the boy with her cold words.

Alter was certainly a cold person. And probably his worst aspect was that he accepted and believed the words of a lot of people straightly, and rarely doubted without cause. Simply he didn't care enough to doubt, or question, and just moved towards his own goals. He didn't blink as Rebecca started to begin to question his very beliefs. There was nothing new in that, well from her yes, but most people couldn't understand his morals. "You will need to be more clear." He replied, that line along could be taken in many ways, Gods were fickle, some tricksters, some evil, and if she was calling the Angels those names, well she wouldn't be following him around anymore.

ilinkzeldi Rebecca smirked, for now she had the boy on her hook. That was the privilege of the performer, to have her audience waiting with baited breath for what she would say next. It was the best of rushes for her, something which would never lose its flavor, no matter how many times she had consumed it. The thrill of the stage had captured Rebecca, ever since the first taste, and the man who had shown it to her, well his shadowy eyes were watching her from somewhere. It would be just like him. The girl did not take much time to think out her act, because she already knew what she would way before she had even asked the question. In the play written within her head, this would be something of an introductory scene. Something to establish exactly what her view on the world was. Alter would never want to hear it, and he would never listen, but it was still something which needed to be said. Every single person needed at least one person to understand them. It was the most basic of human needs. So she would speak, regardless of Alter's listening. That angel thing, it was just a grab at his attention. A pulling of his strings. And a simple minded man like Alter, had strings which were easily pulled. "Alter how much have you seen of the human world. You must know there are angels there too. But the difference is we don't see them. Now which is real, which has more power. The angel which can be seen, or the angel which stays hidden in the divine realm. Alter, I don't think your seeing the truth. Those angels you worhship, they aren't reality, just a reflection of the human ideal of an angel." She spoke, lifting herself from her feet. She did not mean any harm from it, to Rebecca this was simple exposition. "I think thats what this entire world is. A creation of the human conscious, and a reflection of our own world, but a bit more fantastical. Your angels, no even you and I, this entire world. Its made up of dreams," She finished arms spread wide in bold declaration. The pandamon had finally given up mirroring her movements, and was in the corner playing with its own scarf. But Rebecca was not quite finished, instead she crossed her arms. "Or perhaps the world I knew was the dream and this is reality. Either way, I want to know what seperates our two worlds."
