The Giggling Pear

[Rozaette]

Rozaette patted Dotsamin on the shoulder. Turning to the student she smiled.
" Yes of course miss. Cheesy potatoes, garlic potatoes, butter potatoes, or even honeyed potatoes! We make all kinds here. What would you like?"
Rozaette loved the smell of the kitchens. It reminded her of home. Or what used to be home. She remembered the msell of baked apple pie and pine needles. Shaking her head she sniffed the air and headed to the various potatoes, her memories vanishing into themselves.

*Chuchube comes up to Mistress Kat holding a covered platter.*
Mistress Kat! I is so glad to see you! I gots just what your looking for!
*Takes the cover of the platter.*
Voila! Chocolate cake and cheesy mashed potatoes.
*A fork, spoon, napkins and a cup of milk appear to go along with the dish.*
Enjoy! I gots to go now. Bye Mistress Kat!
*Waves vigorously and then scurries off to make more desserts*

"thanks" dotsamin said blushing "im kinda flustered"
he put one hand be hind his head and sighed
"ive never really been a good house elf or at least i dont think so. but if i can learn for you guys ill do okay"
dotsamin smiled already enjoying the new friends around him"  

[Rozaette]

Rozaette smiled. She heard a quiet chiming and started frantically bustling.
" Hurry dinner is starting soon we must make our way back to the kitchens before the students tramples us!" she urged Dotsamin to grab a bundle of clothes and bustled down the hall.

dotsamin grabbed some clothes and hurried after Rozaette
he had a scowl on his face suddenly realizing
he didnt know how to cook
he shook off the feeling instead paying attention to Rozaette feet running ahead of him  

[Rozaette]

Rozaette scurried down sveeral stairs and past innumerable doors until she finally came to a screeching halt, making Dotsamin nearly tumble over.
" Here we are. The laundry room."
Dotsamin looked at her nervously but Rozaette only nudged him forward.
" Well go on open it we havent got all day. The other elves will be needing our help."
Dotsamin then pushed the door open with his one free hand. Inside were mountains and mountains of clothes. But.....they were sorting themselves. There were huge odd looking tubs that each fantasically dirty pile dropped themselves into and theyd come out right as rain.
Rozaette scurried over to the middle where there seemed to a medium sized hole in the floor. Dotsamin peered over the side.....it looked bottomless. And just as he was imagining what on earth this could be used for Rozaette threw the pile from her hands straight into the hole.
" What are you doing?!" Dotsamin yelled.
" Im doing the laundry thats what." she grabbed the pile from him and it followed the other garments down the hole. She turned to him and burst out laughing.
" Oh Im so sorry. I forgot to tell you how these things work." She pat him on the arm and then quieted as the chiming began.
" Come now, story time will be later I guess."

once again on a rampage down the hall running behind rozaette
wondering what other mystery's could be behind all the doors that where flying by almost a blur
"what kind of food are we making? like everything or is there a specific menu?"
dotsamin asked with a worried face
"what if the students dont like what i make?"

"i was wondering if you could make the Gryffindor table some spiced cider and red licorice. We seem to be out of both." *ambria asked the closest house elf politely then waited for a reply.*

"Yes, Miss," Georgina-elf muttered as she bowed low in front of the student that appeared in front of her. Georgina-elf snapped her fingers and spiced cider and red licorice appeared in her hands.

"Here you go, Miss," Georgina-elf whispered as she bowed once again. "I hope you find it to your liking. I heated it up."

With that she retreated to a corner in the kitchen to bake some muffins.

*Ambria said." Thank you very much" then she left the kitchen and went to the great hall.*  

[Rozaette]

" Dont worry your oddly shaped head about tha', the head elf is sure to keep you in the right." She assured him, wind still hitting her face from the run. Rozaette was a gifted athlete. Oh how she loved to play games of all sorts and sizes....or at least she used to. She shook her head once more to remove the past, and in doing so nearly collided with a student. She put on the breaks.
" Im so sorry Miss Ambria. We're running rather late. Hope you are well." sweatdrop
Grabbing Dotsamin, she scurried on over to the kitchen. Sighing heavily, she peered into the small orb like window on the dorr to the kitchen. One big eye that looked particularly angry was staring at her.The door suddenly burst open and swallowed Rozaette. Dotsamin her muffled snarls and muffled meeps. Cautiously, he pushed the door forward.
" ROZAETTE! HOW COULD YOU BE LATE AGAIN?"
" Head elf, I promise its not my fault this time I--I ---"
" SPIT IT OUT!"
" Escorting new elf student!" Rozaette pointed straight at Dotsamin. Dotsamin looked around frantically.
" I am so sorry to be late. Please Rozaette was just doing her job."
The head elf looked Dotsamin up and down, circled him three times, patted his head,.............and smelled him.
" You will do." the elf said. " As for you Rozaette, dont let me catch you lolligagging again. We elf students work hard down here. You keep it up and you'll never get sorted!"

*Chuchube heard the head house-elf yelling again. She realized that she must be telling off rozaette again. Chuchube wiped the sweat off her brow.*
I'm so glad I gots here right before Rozaette. Otherwise I'd be yelled at.
*Chuchube thought she had said this low enough for the head elf not to hear. she felt someone staring at her and looked up to see the head elf staring. She looked really mad. Chuchube went back to her work, chopping onions faster.*

"umm i guess ill start peeling potatos?"
dotsamin moved and ducked around the moving house elves trying to find a peeler luckily finding one in the sink he returned to the mountian and started feverishly peeling  

[Rozaette]

Rozaette worked deftly with the tomatoes and spices, chopping bits here and pieces there, sprinkling it into various bubbling pots of food. She liked cooking, she really did. Always getting yelled at, being late, and just generally day dreaming. She noticed the new elf Dotsamin peeling potatoes and smiled. She had only arrived just a little before him. She seemed to be just as nervous.....still.
