She shucked her jacket off as soon as they got back into the bar and draped it on the back of her stool. She took the drink Hauk made her and took a long sip. "Ah, that's just what the doctor ordered.  Thank you, Hauk." She opened her to-go box and went about digging in to her pan-fried noodles.

He smiles at her as he finishes making his own drink and goes back around the bar to sit down and eat his own food. Always a pleasure Vilkat. You tend to start getting predictable in what you normally drink so its no issue on that. He digs in to his orange chicken and chow mein. Occasionally taking a swig of his drink to wash down the spice.

She gave him a wink. "Now, just because I prefer vodka doesn't mean I don't change it up every now and then. I made some pomegranate Cosmos in here one night. xp " She waved her chopstick at him and then went back to eating.
She finished her meal and got up to toss the empty box and went back to her seat.
"So, what all did you buy today? I couldn't keep up and I got distracted with my own shopping. biggrin "

He chuckled as Kat defended her drink preferences and threw away his own take out box once he was done eating. Sitting back down he sips away at his own drink swirling the glass as he thinks back on the day. Mmm I bought the ale for Rev, a small music box for Anira. A couple of small things here and there. I ordered a big shield from an antique collector that was from the 13th century of the Scandinavian region and a couple other big items from that merchant....Getting a big smirk he turns back to his jacket and pulls out the package he hid and placed it in front of Kat on the bar counter. ...and then I got this for you.

Her eyes widened slightly when he put the package down in front of her. She looked up at him and smiled.
"Hauk, you didn't have to get me anything." She wondered what could be inside and carefully opened the gift. She gasped when she saw the silver and ruby item in the package. She held it up and looked at it.
"Hauk, it's lovely. But I'm afraid you're going to have to tell me what it is. It looks like a belt of some sort." She looked at the intricate details and felt a little guilty that she hadn't gotten him anything.
"Now I feel bad for not picking something up for you. sweatdrop "

He watches in silence as Kat opens the gift smiling brightly when she discovered what was inside. He chuckled when she admitted she didn't know what exactly it was and he took a sip of his drink before taking it from her. It is exactly that Vilkat. One of the merchants there was a iron weaver and jewelry designer that specializes in medieval pieces. This is a belt that noblewomen of my country used to wear as a symbol of their status. My mor had one similar to this one even though she was the mistress. Let me show you how to dress in it. He gestures Kat to stand and with gentle hands he pulls her close by her hips and wraps it around her waist securing it. He then slowly spins her to see how it looked from all angles and nodded in approval. Perfect...I knew the rubies suited you. This is my thank you. I told you already that you have no idea what kind of gift you gave me by taking me out today. I have been needing this outing a long time. And it only made it more wonderful with you there with me.

She looked down at the silver belt once Hauk had put it on her. It was a beautiful piece, but she worried that he had spent too much.
"Hauk, it's lovely, but it must have cost a fortune! This is too much for a thank you for a simple day trip...." Her voice trailed off and she looked up at him. She smiled and embraced him, resting her head against his chest.
"I'm glad you had a good time." Her voice was slightly muffled, and she sighed as she relaxed against him.

Pfft, please money is no object to me. Rev taught me how to make investments and other things when I became a model so money is no worry for me. He strokes her hair and hugs her close while she rested her head on his chest. I heard bits and pieces about what that trekubbe of a cop was like and honestly he was an idiot for letting something like you get away. My far was taught that women should be respected and treated as the great Valkyries for they were the bearers of our children and backbones of our people. A man who does otherwise is no man at all without the support of his lady. He raised her face once more cupping her cheek in his large palm. Stroking the cheekbone with his thumb. You deserve the best Vilkat, so this trinket is nothing to what you are capable of.

She thought briefly of Justin and realized that until Hauk had mentioned him, he hadn't crossed her mind in weeks. She did hope he was safe, but she had come to the realization a long time ago that they just flat out weren't meant to be. They were just too different. She looked up at Hauk and gave him a cocky grin. "Well, I guess you're thinking his loss is your gain then, hmm? "

Hauk raises an eyebrow at her with her comment. Giving an evil grin of his own and slides his hands slowly down to her rump giving it a light squeeze. Well I would think something like that....but only if Vilkat permits...bringing her closer he dips his head to kiss her forehead.

She arched and eyebrow as his hands wandered down her body. She chuckled and looked up at him.
"Well, I'd say you're off to a good start, Viking. But," she reached down and laced her fingers with his. "My track record is spotty at best when it comes to relationships. I don't want to rush too fast with, with...whatever this is that we've started."
She giggled, "Not that taking you downstairs and keeping you there for the remainder of the weekend hasn't crossed my mind, just so you know. twisted "

twisted He chuckles as he brings her hands up to his lips. Lightly kissing the knuckles as he looks into her eyes. I have slowly learned in time that the past is what makes the present. Some of it good, some of it bad. But it happens, and so we must make the present the best we can. Splaying out one of her hands he then licks the tip of her index finger and sucks it lightly, gently nipping. And so I focus only on the present as I learn from the past. I go as you go Vilkat....keep that in mind. He changes from sucking her finger to kissing her palm, down her wrist and forearm slowly. Tracing the tip of his tongue as he goes.

She inhaled sharply as he kissed her skin. Who knew that the forearm could be so sensitive?  She swallowed and sank back onto her stool, looking up at him with half lidded eyes. "You are making it very difficult for me to remember that I just told you I didn't want to rush things, Hauk."

Giving his evil grin he places her hands on her lap and gets up to clean their glasses. Ahhh yes, but that's the most fun of it now isn't it? wink He slides to her a glass of water before turning his broad back to her and cleaning up. He turns long enough to take the opened package pieces and throws them away.

She took a shaky breath and sipped the water he gave her while she let her eyes roam over his tall frame.
