I'm doing good. I needed a change of scenery and I thought this would be a good place to get it.

*he saw Thistle emerge from some bushes and was a bit surprised. once she nuzzled his leg he reached down and pat her head. His eyes widened a bit when he heard the pony talk* Well hello to you to *he replied laughing a bit*

*he turned his attention back to Amy* So I see. They grow up so fast these days. * he said melodramatically*

Amy chuckled at Kai's tone when he commented on babies growing up so fast. "Sometimes it seems that way. Other times, like when they're knocking things over in the kitchen to get to food, it seems like they can't grow up fast enough."

Amy stood up and brushed off the knees of her pants. "You know, a change of scenery sounds good. I'm glad you came here to get it, but do you want to go out somewhere else to get it with me? Besides going to the city to pick up Thistle from Jessi's place, I've been in this house for days cleaning. I'd love to get out and go somewhere."

*he laughs* I wouldn't really know myself, but it sounds nice in it's own way. Never a dull moment.

I'm already prepared for a walk so really anywhere is fine with me. Sadly the only places I normally get out to when I'm not in my shop is the MW so I'm not the most knowledgable about the town. In any case, where would you like to go Amy?  

[Cuwen]

Thistle nuzzled Kai's leg once more and then went back to searching for fairies in the bushes. A few fairies shot out of the bush when Thistle ran back over.

Amy chuckled at Kai's comment. "That is so very, very true. There is hardly a dull moment. I hadn't thought about it like that in quite awhile. If you stay here for awhile, you could get to experience it, too, if you wanted to. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's not. But such is life."

Amy thought about different places they could go. "Well, I think we should go someplace that's indoors since it is pretty warm out here. I'd prefer not to go to Aqua Springs for a little while. MW would be fine, as would Chatty Kathy's. I wish GGB was still around. That would have been fun to go to. MW does serve alcohol, and I wouldn't mind having a drink right about now... Would you prefer to go there or someplace else?"

I've never been very good at staying in one place for very long, but I'm not quite as young as I used to be. Maybe it's time I left the adventuring and dragon slaying to the next generation already and hang up my traveling cloak. I've earned enough in my day to leave the shop to Kaori so that wouldn't be an issue. More often than not I just get in her way when we work together.

*he thinks about possible destinations* I've probably pickled my liver by now so if we go to the MW I won't be having anything alcoholic so anywhere is fine, but the rum sounds so, no I must resist the delicious temptation. Well it wouldn't hurt to have one drink for old times sake.

When Kai talked about not being very good at staying in one place long enough, Amy felt herself completely understanding him and relating with him. "I know exactly what you mean about not being able to stay in one place very long. I know I told you this when we first met, but I just don't usually stay in one place very long, either. I've stayed here the longest, and even then I left for about half a year just a little while ago. So, I understand what you mean when you say that it's hard to stay in one place for a long amount of time. You know, since we're both like that, maybe we could go traveling together in the future. I've never really gone traveling across the country with anyone before. It might be interesting, if we ever want to leave this place again."

"But Kai, you sure you want to leave your shop? Is it located here in Geezerville? If so, why would you need to leave it? If you get in your niece's way or vice versa, you two could always work separate hours. Just... think about it before you leave your shop, please, okay? That's a huge decision."

Amy smiled then at the thought of going to an area in Geezerville and started walking back into the house, Thistle following closely behind her.

"Well, I'd hate to go to MW if you're trying to stay away from alcohol. That would be way too much temptation. Chatty Kathy's is a good restaurant. Why don't you think about it while I go take a shower, okay?"

Amy smiled at him and then started walking toward the bathroom. Then, she paused, thought about something for a quick second, and then turned around, walked back to Kai and kissed his cheek. She smiled and then went to the bathroom and shut the door. Minutes later, the shower could be heard running.

Thistle squeaked and went and hopped up onto the couch. "Tired!"

Traveling really is one of my simple pleasures in life. Exploring a city in a distant land. Taking in new sights everyday. Surprises around every corner. Having a companion to share the experience with makes the thrill even better. I tried soloing a couple trips and it just wasn't the same. More freedom, but you just don't get caught up in things quite like when you're running with someone.

I'd miss my shop, but my ownership is in name only as it is. Kaori has been running the place for a few months now. I just sign the order forms and invoices to keep in certain things in stock. I'll talk it over with her to see how she feels about it. She might not even want the place. sweatdrop it's in the industrial part of down town in a back alley. Most people could pass right by and never even notice the place unless they were looking for it specifically.

Kathy's does sound nice. I haven't been there in years. *he follows the pair into the house and got taken by surprise by a kiss. "She's going in the shower after that... Is she asking me to peep on her or what?" he smiled at the thought as he pictured the scene. He could feel his face turning red and decided to let go of the idea. Save that for another day*

Amy had heard Kai's responses while she had been getting ready in the bathroom. After about 20 minutes, she came out with her slightly-damp hair in a twist on the side of her head and silver dress on.

She smiled at Kai and her smile grew even softer when she saw Thistle asleep on the couch. "She wore herself out chasing all the fairies in the garden. I discovered shortly after you left that I have fairies living in the garden around the house. They help everything to grow. I have to wear a charm they gave me, though, to keep their fairy dust from affecting me. I'm lucky because they put magic in it that lets me transfigure the charm into anything I want, like a ring, a pin, a necklace, anything."

Amy shook her head and laughed softly. "And I totally just went off topic. I heard your responses while I was getting ready for my shower. Obviously since the shop is yours, you can do whatever you want, but I still wonder if it'd be a good idea to wait at least a couple more days before you decide if you want to give it all to your niece. I hope I can see it soon. I'm really curious to see it and see what all you sell there."

"And Chatty Kathy's sounds great. I'm ready to go if you are."

Amy had been working on the gardens all day today and all day yesterday. They looked beautiful, if she did say so herself. In fact, Thistle had liked them so much herself that she had spent nearly all of her waking hours chasing fairies around the garden. It was a good thing magical ponies apparently didn't get sunburned or that dirty. Amy had to give Thistle a short rinse to get the dirt from the garden off of her, but that was it. Now Thistle was sacked out on the couch, sleeping heavily.

Amy had just finished drying her hair from her shower when her cellphone buzzed on the bathroom counter. She put down her hairdryer and picked up the phone. She had used her hair dryer because her hair dried faster using the hot air from it than the lukewarm air from the wind she controlled. She could move the wind, but she couldn't make it warmer.

Amy smiled when she saw it was Kai that texted her.

Kai's text to Amy

I'm at the MW now. Come over if you're free. :3

Amy mumbled to herself. "Hmm. Alcohol sounds good right about now, and Thistle's going to be out for hours."

Amy quickly typed out a reply.

Sounds like fun. smile Thanks for the invite. I'll be over there soon.

Amy transfigured an outfit to take the place of the towel around her. She checked on Thistle once more, made sure she had enough food and water in her bowls in the food pantry, and then headed out. She was very lucky and thankful for the fact that Thistle didn't really seem to get upset when Amy left for a few hours by herself. She had gotten used to it when they lived in the city and Amy had to go to places that wouldn't allow pets.

Thanks so much for coming with me at such a late notice. Colour sometimes springs these things on me about needing to attend or even informing me. rolleyes But unfortunately sweatdrop , this one's all on me. I completely forgot! gonk -looks up and out the window- Okay, we're pulling up now. You want me to meet you at the door or you just wanna get in? Nevermind, I feel like moving. I'll see you in just a second. -she pauses again, listening- Okay. Coming now. -dame's closes the phone and slips it back in her top, opening the door and going over to Karrie's door to ring the doorbell-

*opens the door, straightening his tie with the other hand* You know, you're lucky I didn't have anything else planned and could come with you tonight. rolleyes Having an escort is something you should think about ahead of time.

*walks out of the kitchen* Hi dame. smile

-pushes his hand away and straightens his tie herself- Ya think, Karrie. rolleyes xp What genius advice. mad Too bad I forgot about the whole thing. stare -tries not to glare at him and brushes past Karrie and up to Velcore- Hey, honey. How are you? -leans down to pet and scratch the dragon- At least someone isn't complainy-pants about seeing me. xp -sticks her tongue out at Karrie- And I even said I'd make it up to him too, can you believe that, Velcore? xd -giggles quietly and continues scratching Velcore, grinning- whee
