Faye kissed Ducan on the nose before leaving to clothes hunt. Doing this, reminded him that he needed to go get stuff from his flat. The baker hadn't been there for a few days now. Plus, he had to get ready for work:
"Ducan,-" he said: "I got to go to my place. You know, check on my dying plant." Faye joked, smiling while putting his jeans on.

"Alright, let me get dressed," Ducan said as he hopped into his black jeans.
He stopped and slapped his forehead. "Oh wait, that won't do. I can't leave your parents at home all alone! That would be very, very rude." He sauntered over and kissed Faye's neck. "And I have a deadline to meet for my manuscript, and I'm happy to say I'm not at all guilty that you've been distracting me."

Faye flicked Ducan's forehead lightly: "You silly! Finish your manuscript while I'm gone ok? If you dont-" he folded his arms: "No more couch sex."

Ducan drew back and pouted. "Oh, alright," he said mournfully. He turned and went to fetch his laptop from the dining room. "But don't forget you have to come with me to meet my brother."

"I know. Check on the gumbo while I'm gone." Faye then put on his coat and left. While he was at his flat, the baker checked his mail, cleaned up, packed some clean clothes and showered.
Once he arrived back at Ducan's, he found a corner in his love's bedroom for his clothes. Faye wore a white t-shirt with green sleeves and lettering that read: 'Northern Flavors' and dark blue jeans. His hair was a little damp from the shower.
Once he returned downstairs, Faye checked up on his still sleeping parents then headed to the kitchen. The dining room was open to the kitchen so Ducan could easily see him. He heard keys being punched rather fast. So to reward the writer, Faye kissed his cheek and used one hand to rub his back:
"Working hard?"

Ducan looked up from his laptop and smiled. "Yes. I finished a whole chapter while you were gone." He tapped on it a little more. "Sex really does give you inspiration!" He laughed. "Well, how was work?"
The phone rang just then. Ducan went to pick it up and wandered about the room as he spoke. "Hello?... Yes. ... Yes, I'm working on it right now... I'm pretty sure I'll have it done by then... Mh-hm... No, I... No, I-wait a minute... Well, I thought you said we could cross that out of the plot!... Oh... Oh, okay... Fine, I'll go now... Yes. Bye."
Ducan slumped back to his chair. "That was my editor," he said, "He's on my back right now."

Faye massaged Ducan's tense shoulders. He easily sensed his boyfriend's stress and it made him worried: "Ne, Ducan, you can take a break, right? To deliver the gumbo?"
The baker made sure that it was saved and closed the laptop. Faye crawled into Ducan's lap; snuzzling him cutely. He didn't stop running his fingers through the writer's long locks till he was relaxed. Once he was, Faye happily stood up to pack some extra groceries.

Ducan smiled dazedly until Faye slid off his lap and he couldn't snuggle him anymore. He suddenly didn't want to go to his brother's anymore. He wanted to stay and have some proper after-sex cuddling.
But, his fraternal duty called, and he followed Faye who was packing a few extra things, and helped him carry them.
"Wow, do you really think he needs all this food?" he asked, "I should've known that the first order of business for anyone working in the food industry is to make sure my brother never goes hungry. At all!"

"Quit pouting. Don't you think that I should help your family since your so important to me?" Faye said waddling to the front door with two huge brown bags of groceries while Ducan got his jacket and carried the gumbo: "Besides I'm cooking you something tonight. Whatever you want. And you're going to get really fat."
Faye made sure the groceries & gumbo wouldn't slide during the trip then sat in the passenger seat: "You ready?"

"Oh, heaven forbid I become obese," Ducan grinned as he turned on the ignition key. "But I suppose I could burn a lot of calories by having more couch sex, hmmm?"
He backed out onto the street, and drove off, humming softly to the tune of Josh Groban. As he turned a corner, the car haled in the middle of a traffic jam.
"Great." Ducan hit his forehead on the top of the steering wheel, making sure not to hit the horn.
After twenty minutes of painful slow advancement, they finally turned off the jam-packed street and into a quiet avenue.
"Kevin's apartment is riiiiight over... there!" Ducan said as he slowed to a stop in front of a tall brick building.
