Meep! Don't you hate it when parents sneak up on you? I really hope she wasn't too insanely mad at you.

Luckily for me I have my own laptop that is password protected and no one can touch it with out my permission... and on the family computer, the iMac my section of the computer is password protected. I'm generally as careful as I can be. However my dad is generally pretty good about giving me my privacy and things like that. It's my mom I have to watch out for. Lucky for me though she lives quite a ways away and I visit her maybe once a month... and I rarely read or buy yaoi around her. Of course it helps that she thinks anime is silly and doesn't really want anything to do with it... rolleyes

Yup, passwords are practically your shield. Hilariously my dad bought us the rest of the set for Gravitation for us without knowing that it was about boy love. And he's a slight homophobe. xd

I ALMOST got caught once. But I was able to lie about it and be like "it's not what you think, really!" Man, that was sooooooooo close!

I've not been "caught" per se, but I've read yaoi fanfics while my parents have been in the room and they have no clue what it is rofl . So...I've taken that a step up and watched yaoi vids on youtube while my dad was in here. But luckily where he sits, he can't see around the computer chair to see what I'm watching. However, if they knew what it was, I'm sure all my computer priveleges would be taken away and I wouldn't be allowed on the internet ever again while I'm in this house. My parents don't take these things lightly, and my mom doesn't have anything against gay people, but she thinks it's gross when she has to see it.

When I use to be younger I was very careful not to get caught. My mom flipped when she found me watching Sex and the City one night. Anyway: nowadays since I'm an adult it doesn't matter but I get picked on a lot. My non anime friends are like: "She's reading gay porn again!" I read more then watch. Adultfanfiction.net use to be one of my favorite hang outs when I was a teen.

haha, understanding parents XD Though my mom's the same way. My dad..well he's simple, and Yaoi is a complex foreign world of not simpleness. So he just says he doesn't want to know if I try to explain it to him.

I have never been caught strangely. My mom has always been the sort of person who looks through my things when I am gone somewhere but she would never think that I'm cool and Ninja with hidding anything that I don't want to be found. Like leaving things that I don't want found right in front of her face. Or putting a different book cover on them. Or just leaving them in random bags on my floor.
Actually... there was this ONE time. She decided to read a fanfiction that I had left up in my haste to get to school... luckly nothing happened to really happen in the first chapter and she didn't really care much. sweatdrop I just barely got away with it!

My mother kind of got used to my preferences in reading material after she stumbled across some of my artwork. She even buys me yaoi knowing what it is. It's happiness X3

Just got caught for the first time by my stepmom.

AUGH.

Good news? She was INSANELY cool about it. She was walking in to my room to tell me about something or other and she passed by the computer while asking me something and kinda did a double take.

Her: "So if you can... What site is that?"

Me: ohshitohshitohshitohshit "A site I went on very... very much by accident."

...Yeah, didn't buy it. She basically told me that I'm sixteen and it's natural for me to be curious, to want to see that kind of thing, to have interest in it, etc. She said she was just worried because sites like that are notorious for Spyware and other viruses so she wanted me to be careful. She actually said she didn't know whether it would be less so because it's "animated" (her words not mine) andfakjfldjafdafasd oh god I hope my Dad doesn't find out. XD She said she wouldn't tell him, that it "wasn't necessary" but still. Dude. She tried to make me feel better by saying that they had pretty much had the same conversation with my brother, but I was pretty much banging my head against the wall the whole time. Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!

She actually told me that if I wanted to see stuff like that and was curious then we would find "other venues that wouldn't trash your computer."

Oh God. She was so cool about it. Almost too cool. Ffdajfldsajfdas.

My boyfriend is visiting and he was playing video games in my brother's room since he has the X-Box. Well, while he was away, I was playing Absolute Obedience. And being the empty headed girl I am, my boyfriend walked in during one of the not so friendly scenes.

With the sound on max, during a moan... with the computer facing the door...

He stayed away from me for a few minutes after that. But he's pretty desensitized, so it's ok.

well as for my dad as long as I don't ask about what he does, he doesn't ask what I do. And my dad looks at some interesting things. And leaves them up on the computer 0.o

Mom still doesn't know... and that's a good thing. I don't think she'd overreact too much... but then again who knows? i think she's getting old tho. I'll leave all sorts of fanfictions up and she just closes them without looking. Thank heaven!
