Yukon was pretty excited for this season, they had a solid team, and more than 1 reserve. Sure, he had felt bad that Weslyn had to play during tryouts, but she did great at it. The first year, Phee, who had been so anxious at the sorting feast, had shined at Quidditch tryouts, and even caught the snitch. Yes, they would be okay once the upper years graduated, which thankfully they had two seasons before that.

He walked up the field in his uniform and offered high fives to everyone, and a potato quote if they wanted a conversation. "Good luck on the game! Of course the potato said that!"

Jordan was a little nervous. He'd done.... decently at tryouts, but apparently Ravenclaw was short on players. He was chosen to be on the main team, which meant he had to be good. Luckily he was paired up with Laurel and she.... kinda scared him, to be frank. Grabbing the school-issued broom, he headed out to the pitch, feeling very small near all the other, seasoned players.

Brook walked onto the field, tryouts had gone decently, considering the turn out. They had a first year playing beater, what was with that? Where had all the upper year beaters gone off to? Oh well, as long as the kid didn't hit a bludger at Brook, it would be fine. Of course, the first year was the only other Ravencalw on the field, guess the others were taking their time or something. At least first year kid came early enough to properly stretch. She gave him a smile, "Good luck Jordan, just, try not to hit yourself too much, and you'll be great."

Tori arrived on the pitch and greeted his teammates with a wave. He couldn't believe he'd actually made the starting team, but he was very excited to play in a real game. He began to do a few stretches while he waited for everyone to arrive and the game to start.


He just hoped his school broom wouldn't hold him back. He knew most everyone else on all the teams had their own brooms that were probably much better than the school brooms, but he didn't have much choice. It wasn't like his parents approved of him playing the sport, and just asking the once for a broom had gotten him a scolding of a life time. Now he'd just have to hide the hobby from them which meant he definitely wasn't getting his own broom until he could buy one himself which wasn't happening anytime soon.

As Canaan walked out to the pitch, he hoped Annie was up in the stands to watch him play. It was kinda nice having somebody to root for him, if nothing else, it gave him extra incentive to play just a little bit harder. He didn't need the incentive, owing to the fact they needed a strong start against Hufflepuff to give them momentum as they entered this, his last season playing for Ravenclaw, and the Lions and Snakes would be tough opponents. Still, he figured they had a good shot at pulling out a victory today.

spaceRoland made it out onto the pitch to join his teammates, hoping that everyone was in good spirits and ready for their first game. He figured that they ought to've been used to practices and his constant reminders by now and would know that they needed to get properly limbered up before the match started. Still, that didn't stop him from checking in on everyone. "Hey guys, make sure you remember your stretches," he reminded them, "It's even more important during games than practices." With that, he started on his own. Nothing sucked more than a pulled muscle on a broom. Been there, done that. Ouch.

spaceRoland was pretty damn nervous for this game. It was his last year in school, and therefore his last year on the team. It was also his second year as captain, which meant that by now he was probably supposed to actually know how to, you know. Be a captain. Unfortunately he still wasn't all that sure on that one. Plus they had so many young, inexperienced players. He wasn't feeling especially confident in their abilities, truth be told. But, he knew that they would try their best, and that if they didn't do well, it was just that lack of experience, not any sort of mark against him or his players specifically. He was more nervous that they wouldn't feel the same and would be disheartened. But, all he could do was play the game, and then take whatever happened to practice so they could learn from it. Sighing, he started his stretches, not wanting to start the year off on a bad note by doing something stupid, like pulling a muscle.

spaceNorah was practically tripping over herself as she raced out onto the pitch. She hadn't actually expected to get first string, as much as she'd wanted it. But she had, and now she was going to play in her very first actual factual Quidditch game! It was beyond exciting. She just hoped that her excitement didn't cause her to, like, fall off of her broom. Her super fancy wonderful brand new broom that her dads had gotten her (alright, it was secondhand, but it was basically like new. They hadn't seen the point in spending a ton on something they could get cheaper that was just as good. They'd never owned a brand-new car, either). Gawd, wouldn't that be the best letter to write home? "Hey guys, I played my first game and nearly died, but it's fine! Love you!" Yeah, right. She could just imagine her poor Pop having a stroke at that.
