"I guess so." Watching Bubbee rush out of the shop he looked at Bernadette for a reaction before giving the older woman a smile. "Good morning."

"Morning... Dieťa there you are. You had me scared." She had given the greeting without thought. She rushed to her granddaughter.
"I'm fine." She said quickly.

"She stopped by my place so I let her take one of the spare bedrooms." He said, explaining the situation. "There hasn't been any other incidents that I know of."

She sighed. "Upstairs now." She grabbed her granddaughters arm.
Bernadette kissed his cheek. "I'll see you a little later."

Alex smiled at the kiss and watched as her grandmother took her by the arm. "Yeah, I'll see you later. If you need anything let me know."

She nodded and was pushed into the shop by her grandmother. She knew she was in for it now, the shop wasn't even open.
"what am I supposed to do with you dieťa? At some man's house all night."
"Nothing happened Bubbee. We were down the hall from each other and it was either there or on the street." She crossed her arms and the two of them started to argue their voices getting louder.

Alex started to walk away but paused as he heard voices coming from inside the shop. He stayed where he was, not listening so much as making sure everything was okay.

They sat and argued for twenty minutes before their voices took back a calmer tone. It was decided that Alex was to be involved in the lower level things if he wished and that she take a few days to rest up before they tried the banishment. Bernadette headed upstairs and changed. She flipped through her own grimoire looking into protection spells and charms. She found a charm that was simple enough and took a leather pouch and went downstairs to fill it with the herbs she needed. Once that was done she tied it off and headed out to go to the lake.

Alex had gone back to his house, washed up, and gotten into some clean clothes before heading back outside. After wandering around for a few minutes he spotted Bernadette headed for the lake and followed after her.

Once she got down to the lake she slid off her shoes and slipped her feet into the cool water. She thought Alex might be there but no matter she needed the down time.

Alex watched her for a few seconds before heading down to where she was. He stood behind and to the side of her. "Hey their."

He sat down next to her, crossed legged so his feet weren't in the water. "What was all the commotion about at the shop?"

"Oh nothing really. Just trying to get our opinions across to each other." She smiled a little. "Oh here I made you this." She passed him the leather pouch. It was on a long string to be worn around the neck. "Its a protection charm." She explained.

He blinked and took the pouch, looking it over before she gave an explanation. "Ah, I see. Well in that case thank you." He gave her a kiss on the cheek before putting the pouch around his neck. "Hopefully I won't need it."
