Ruric Torrune
Question! I've seen Cthulhu, but what the flying hell is he from?

The Call of Cthulhu by Howard Phillips Lovecraft, the origin of the Cthulhu Mythos.

In a way, he is a god of insanity. But even thats not rite.He is of another world, and of another reality, the same as ours, but he is in all four dimensions. He is not completley made of matter, but part of something raw and more base then matter. Cthulhu, he who is dead but dreaming in his house on R'lyeh.
In the Derleth Mythos, he is also the half brother to Hastur, he of the yellow sign.

Ahah. So he's almost like the essence of chaos?

No. Not really. At all.

Cthulhu is a hedonistic ancient overlord of earth, more or less - he and his kind slumber at the bottom of the sea because the stars are not right. When the stars and planets are right for his arrival, he and the Great Old Ones will arise and consume all that lives. They require an agent to do this, and as such, reach out to humanity in their dreams.

It is only coincidence that these dreams also bring with them madness. wink

If it were my miniature, I'd do less quartering. Or perhaps just half-and-half with the robe inversed.

Either way, I'd shoot for more color depth on both the black and the white. Good stuff though! 3nodding
