Shura-Pendragon LJ 1
I should be sleeping but I have to write this all down before I forget. Okay...so, I went to Caitlin's apartment around 10:45ish and waited for her to find her shoes, then we went to Hedi's and the Gas Station to get food and energy drinks for the show. The ride down there seemed really quick to me and we got a pretty decent spot in line after making friends with the traffic guy who told us where to park. The two girls in front of us were sisters from Grand Junction named Jessica and Darcy and they were so cool. They agreed to save our spot in line while me and Caitlin went to get coffee multiple times. The first time we got coffee we happen to find out were the tour bus was, so we must've stood by in for half an hour and I'm pretty sure we saw Frank! He was really short (Frank is 5'4) wearing a hoodie and carrying two guitars....so that was exciting. We also made friends with two guys named Taylor and Kevin and two girls behind us named Mary Jay and I can't remember her name...she was there for Rise Against though. So we basically waited in that line for 8+ hours but it was so ******** worth it. Taylor had an extra ticket so he gave in to Caitlin's boyfriend Dillan who's really awesome! Anyway, door opened about 6:50ish and I was far enough up in the line to get a spot in the front!!!! When we got there (me, Caitlin and our new merry group of friends) we sat down against the gate thing for half an hour before Rise Against came out. During that time I made friends with two security gaurds and they said they'd give us the guitar picks they found! So Rise Against was basically AWESOME! They really got the crowd pumping even though they didn't play that long. The main singer gave this really moving speech before Prayer of a Refugee and told us to not let people get us down because of who we are and the music we like. Everyone screamed and jumped so much during that last song...
Then we had to wait half an hour before The Black Parade came out. God...they rolled Gerard up in a hospital bed and I just burst out in tears...it was beautiful. We were on the side of the stage with Ray (whom I made eye contact with a ton) and Gerard kept coming over to our side of the stage! They sang in order of the songs on the CD and everyone of them was mind blowing. I don't ever remember screaming that much....I sang/screamed all the lyrics and jumped a lot and head banged a ton...me and Caitlin were definetly the two most animated people in the front row!
Almost everything signal song I made eye contact with Gerard for a while...I felt so special when he locked eyes with me so much...god I love him so ******** much. After they played Famous Last words they did a quick custome change and became My Chemcial Romance...it was so awesome. The crowd just went totally crazy. It was the most magical feeling ever to be in a huge Arena with thousands of people singing along with the band and screaming thier hearts out. And there's nothing more magical than locking eyes with Gerard....
After they sang Helena though they ran off the stage and we were ushered out....I bought Kelsey's shirt and got an arm bnd for me. Someone dropped their scarf....so I got a scraf too. There was no way in hell I couldn't found the owner to it. We tried waiting at their tour bus after the show to meet them, but sercurity ushered us out and said they wouldn't even be out of the arena till 3 AM. So we went to Denny's and now I'm here.
God...they are the best ******** band in the entire world. I love them so much..Gerard also gave us a speech on how we should always be ourselves no matter what and to not ever let anyone brings us down and call us "cult members". There was a lot more to it but yeah....He's. my. Hero.
I <3 him and MCR so much.
I have no voice left though XP,
The next concert I'm going to meet them, no matter what.
God...you guys....this was the best day of my life...ever, hands down, the best. I can't stop crying...it's been so amazing.
I'ma going to bed now. I'll post pictures later!!

And in all the excitment I forgot some parts so I added them on my next entry...

So in my rush to get to bed I left out some of the good parts. One of my security guard friends did get me a Rise Against guitar pick, but I gave it to that other girl (the one who came to see them not MCR) because yeah...dude, she likes them a million times more than I do and she deserved it to! But Gerard did throw a set list (performance order of the songs) off the stage and I got that ^^.
Also...the one time I locked locked eyes with Ray, we had a start head banging contest in which he won (he does it a lot more than me) it was pretty awesome! But not as awesome as how many times I locked eyes with Gerard for almost every song <3!
Anyway..I got four hours of sleep and I have bruises on: both my arms near my elbows, huge ones of both my knees, and right below my chest/upper stomach from where the bar was. They're good bruise in my opinion. I;m really sore today and my neck hurts like hell from head banging too much, it's amazing! The only thing that sucks though is that I screamed too much so I lost my voice! But yet again...worth it.
